00:11And we're here at Portsmouth, New Hampshire
00:14at Gillies.
00:16They have been here forever.
00:18Since 1912.
00:19And they've had a couple of locations.
00:21But they've been here more or less the last 60 years
00:24at this location on Fleet Street
00:27close to downtown Portsmouth.
00:29And well, among other things they've had
00:32is quality hot dogs.
00:33Man Vs. Food's been here.
00:35And now they're about to be raw dogged.
00:37And I'll be in charge to see if these hot dogs
00:40are worthy of the tank or not.
00:41So let's go check out Gillies
00:44as we go raw dogging in New Hampshire.

01:06Gillies has been around forever.
01:08They're famous for their hot dogs and their hamburgers.
01:11And it's an old-style, old-fashioned rail car.
01:15And they still have the old fridges here.
01:18It's a classic feel here.
01:21And, of course, you got the hot dogs.
01:23They're steamed.
01:25New England-style bun, of course.
01:28And it's got a decent coloring.
01:30Bun-to-dog ratio is on point.
01:33Let's see how this hot dog actually tastes.

01:47I'm gonna give this a double off the Monster.

01:55Now, here's the chili.
01:56They put a lot of chili on here.
01:58It's got the beans on it.

02:07I'm actually gonna need a fork for this.

02:15Didn't even use the fork.
02:19The beans are negative.
02:22There's not enough meat in this chili.
02:26Too loaded with beans.
02:28Too sloppy.

02:35Alright.
02:36It's got a timeless quality.
02:38Real rustic charm inside of it.
02:43Don't know what happened to that chili dog,
02:44but the regular hot dog was fine.
02:47And I mean, imagine the burgers are good,
02:49and they have fresh-cut french fries,
02:51but I'm trying to cut back on my fries,
02:53I'm sorry I did not review them today,
02:54but Gillies is a quality place.
