00:00Good day, you beautiful people. Welcome to Issa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life in style.
00:05This video is gonna be another fun one because we're dealing with another vacuum.
00:11This is the Dyson Micro 1.5 kilograms, which is supposedly their smallest vacuum yet.
00:17I mean, I gotta be honest, a lot of you folks, especially because we've all been staying at home
00:22or have been asking about cleaning solutions and vacuums, so this might be a video you'd want to see.
00:28How small is it? How powerful is it? What's so different about this vacuum?
00:32All those questions we'll aim to answer in this video. Before anything else though, let's unbox.
00:39It says Dyson vacuum, weight with transit sleeve is four kilograms.
00:46Ladies and gents, the Dyson Micro 1.5 kilograms. So as with any Dyson device,
01:02it seems like the box gives us a life-size image of what's inside.
01:07We have, of course, paperwork, a place to register your machine.
01:20Whoa. So this tells us that we have these tools. Let's check it out one by one.
01:28We have the Dyson combi crevice tool. So basically how this works is,
01:34so it does come off. And while this is your crevice tool, basically use this for tight areas.
01:40And then this thing is a crevice tool. So basically you use the brushes to sort of swipe
01:47the dirt so that they can get sucked in by the vacuum. In my other Dyson unboxings, you have like
01:53one each of these tools, but this is a new innovation. I am guessing because it's a two-in-one.
02:00This is where you put it into your vacuum. We have the vacuum post, really light.
02:08Man, Dyson vacuums are always very well packed. It's amazing.
02:15We have this attachment that we use for the floor. Hey, that's jiggly. Yeah, basically all this
02:23material will sort of bring in the dirt inside so that the vacuum can suck in whatever type of
02:31like dirt it may be. This has proven to be very effective. Like I can suck in like dog food or
02:37even like dirt. I have to say this is my favorite Dyson tool. This is the mini motorized head.
02:45First off, this moves. So while you're vacuuming, you can work at different angles. And then because
02:51of these brushes, basically everything goes into the vacuum. I use this for rugs and different
02:59surfaces. This is actually what you see me vacuuming this very rug on if you've seen my
03:04Instagram stories. We have the power cord charger. Of course, we also have the Dyson mount. There are
03:13these pieces and then I'm assuming these are screws. Instructions on how to mount your Dyson
03:18and basically it'll look like this on your wall. This is a very convenient setup. I have Dyson set
03:24up like this in our living area and yeah, nice. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Guys, this is the vacuum itself
03:36and wow, this is by far the thinnest and lightest vacuum of Dyson's that I've seen, I've felt, I've
03:44used. We're gonna do a quick comparison later but yeah, this is very light. Up top, you have a power
03:49button and a max button. So if you want to throw away, ooh, okay, wrong direction. Once this fills up,
03:57if you want to throw away the dirt, you just do this to the trash can. Do that. Dirt will flow out.
04:04This is my left hand. Guys, one finger. This is so light. Yeah, definitely this is cool because this is
04:10the most compact Dyson vacuum and I'm curious to see how it works, how it will compare to the other
04:17Dyson vacuums. So let's go check it out.
04:32So these are my Dyson vacuums side by side. This smallest one is the one that we just unboxed, the
04:38Dyson Micro 1.5 kilograms. This is the Dyson Digital Slim Fluffy. Now before this Dyson, this
04:46was supposedly one of the smallest Dyson vacuums out there. This is the Dyson V8 Slim Fluffy which
04:54was also supposedly when it came out, one of the smallest Dyson vacuums. So you can see the
04:59progression here. As you can see in terms of form factor, the 1.5 micro vacuum looks a little bit
05:06more similar to the Dyson Slim Fluffy. Both vacuums have canisters which open up here at the bottom
05:13versus this one whose canister opens on this side. Their main thing is that the micro 1.5 gram vacuum
05:22does not have a trigger as you can see. This is versus the two other vacuums with a trigger.
05:28Instead, like I showed you earlier, it has an on button and a max button. This
05:36is how you turn it on. The V8 Slim clocks in at 3.4. Digital Slim Fluffy is at
05:452.8. Finally, our tiny little vacuum baby. But see, this is in pounds. Hey Google,
05:54what is 2.1 pounds in kilograms? 2.1 pounds is 0.95 kilograms. So like I said earlier,
06:02turning it on and off, you do that here. And then.
06:11So it seems like there are two settings on this. The back here is where your filter is at
06:16so you can open that up like so. And at the bottom is where you plug in that charger.
06:28And a size comparison.
06:39It is.
06:43Smaller.
06:46Smaller than true over here. Right, because this thing is so light, all that means
06:54that I can now do stuff like this.
07:10These usual hard to reach areas are now very manageable because this thing is way lighter.
07:16Challenge time, using my lift.
07:33I just did the ceiling. That's definitely a big pro for this smaller, lighter vacuum.
07:38Also perks of having a smaller, lighter, more maneuverable vacuum is that you can get into
07:43different weird areas better. Although I really do wish that they had the trigger on this,
07:50but then again, it's only because I am shooting and vacuuming so I can't really
07:55reach for those buttons. If I take it back,
07:57I can turn it on like this because the vacuum is actually this small.
08:02It's time to make a mess. Okay, we're just gonna test out what this thing can pick up now.
08:16I have dog food and coffee grounds and we're gonna put it on the floor. We're gonna put it
08:21in hard to reach places and we're gonna see how this vacuum fares. Admittedly,
08:26Choo is not too happy about the dog food wastage, but take one for the team.
08:34Choo, that's no, no.
08:40Choo-chee!
08:48Hopefully the vacuum does a better job at sucking up dog food because this one
08:56is not.
09:01Okay, Choo-chee, you can have the rest. Okay, folks, we have to pause the vacuum test because,
09:09I don't know, this dog wants to eat. You can see though, we already have a few pieces in.
09:14I didn't want to do any more because, you know. We're doing coffee grounds next and that's still
09:22a little wet. So, in theory, still a little hard to pick up.
09:32What? What?
09:35Yeah, everything is in here now. Also, did you see how that head moved every time I tilted
09:43the vacuum? Again, this can be very versatile. Man, look at that. Whoa, look. So, this is
09:49interesting and this is why we got all of the coffee. So, there is a tiny little brush
09:56on the second row and it makes sure that what the vacuum doesn't suck up, it still goes in.
10:03Another dog is here, curious about what we're doing. I think she wants more food. So, we did
10:11all that with the normal setting. We still haven't tried max. Anyway, time to do hard mode. I'm gonna
10:19put some coffee and dog food in like weird crevice areas to see if this can pick that up. But harder
10:27area to clean than these tracks. Shoot, this is not dog food. Just, oh my god. She has to eat when
10:41it's on the floor. I don't know why. No, you can have this. I just need a handful. So, there. No,
10:49that's yours now. She still wants my test. This one, go. Now that Chuchi is happy, we vacuum.
11:08It did get a few in but let's try max setting.
11:19We're good. Chuchi's good. And everything is in here. Right, so I just want to see what we picked up
11:37during that session. That is the easiest fuss-free way of getting dirt out from your Dyson.
11:48We're good to go again. All the stuff we just vacuumed, all the dog food that Chu didn't eat.
11:58She still wants to eat. Chuchi, we're done. We're done. We're done shooting.
12:08I think all in all, that was a success, right? Right? Okay, yeah. I'm gonna go feed this dog.
12:16And that was our video for today. A fun one despite Chu trying to eat my vacuum test. All in all, I feel like the Dyson Micro 1.5 kilograms, which as it turns out, in this form factor is less than 1.5 kilograms, is definitely
12:31something you should look at if one, you live in a condo or a smaller space. Two, if there are areas
12:37in your house or your living space, like for example, our ceilings which sort of entail that
12:42you have to get in there, this really helps in being able to maneuver your vacuuming. And three,
12:48if you're the type of person who sort of cleans little by little every now and then, I feel like
12:53this is great for you. That being said though, I'm pretty pleased that despite its small size, this
12:58vacuum doesn't really compromise in terms of cleaning. It's definitely a handy tool that you
13:04can opt for if you want a smaller machine. And that's our video for today. Definitely had so
13:09much fun vacuuming. A sentence I never thought I'd ever say. Details on the vacuum and where you can
13:15get your own Dyson Micro 1.5 down below. If you want to see how I use my deck on a daily basis,
