00:16In this video, we're gonna be checking just how optimized social media is on this new Samsung
00:21flagship. That is because this year, Samsung claims even more social media optimization,
00:25even going as far as forging a partnership with Instagram. So, we're gonna put it to the test
00:31right now. First up, we're gonna check how our stories look viewed via different devices shot
00:38on the S24 Ultra. I have here an iPhone, a Google Pixel 8 Pro, and of course, we're also checking
00:45stuff out using the Samsung Z Flip 5 because it has a longer window, a longer form factor. So,
00:50I want to see how that looks with this phone. Right. So, we have the iPhone 15 Pro, we have
00:56the Google Pixel 8 Pro, and we have the Samsung Z Flip 5. Let's look at how the stories look with

01:50So, next up, we're checking out what the S Pen can do. If you've seen my previous videos, specifically
01:56my social media test on the S23 Ultra, I also tested out the S Pen because this thing can
02:02actually help you do remote selfies. For example, with this button right here, I can do remote
02:07selfies. So, if I turn it around, it does wide. Same direction. Okay, no more. Other side, oh,
02:17it does the like zoom out, zoom in. So, different directions. And this is on portrait mode. When you
02:23do this, you get your different shortcuts. You have pin. You can make the screen into a GIF.
02:29Let's try that. Oh, and it automatically turns it into a GIF. That's so cool. What does this do?
02:39Oh, I think this is like just selecting based on, you know, shapes. Screenshotting based on
02:46shapes and stuff. Okay, that's pretty cool. Now, if you swipe up, you can also reverse the camera,

06:19I want to be seeing on Instagram and TikTok. Although, I will say I would want more like I
06:23actually want all the features to work on social media because that would be so useful.
06:28Now, one thing I did notice about the S24 Ultra is it can stand up by itself. Yeah, this is pretty
06:34cool but you must remember that this is a pretty precarious situation and this might not be the
06:38smartest way to take photos with your phone. Another cool thing on this that might be great
06:44for social media is auto framing. So, it does say auto framing on and it will keep on tracking your
06:51face. So, if I'm zoomed in like this versus if I'm zoomed out like that.
06:58So, that wasn't a great example. Stop! That wasn't a great example. Okay, this is a better example.
07:07So, if I'm over here and talking versus if I zoom in, the frame will sort of crop depending on where
07:14I am. So, me talking to you guys like this and the frame adjusts. If I move a little bit, you can
07:22see that the frame will move with me. This is a great way to make sure that you have good framing
07:28when you're recording stuff on this phone. So, one thing that I've heard people complain about
07:34when doing Instagram stories on Android is how some filters seem to not work well with some
07:40Android devices. Let's see how filters look on the S24 Ultra. So, let's see where on my Instagram
07:46story is right now. First of all, let's check out what stuff we can do on here. So, you can do hands
07:51free. You can do like, oh, dual shot. Can we tap and split? How does this work? Oh, there you go. That's
07:58pretty cool. And then, what else do we have? Can we zoom in? Oh, oh, oh. That is way more, way more,
08:06way a lot zoom. I don't know why you'd want to zoom in that much and I get the millennial zoom
08:12isn't a thing anymore. So, it's quite funny how much you can zoom on stories. Whoa. Okay. Yeah.
08:22This is a sample of a filter. This one is one of my favorite filters and you guys would know this
08:28if you watch any previous social media test I've done because I always use this filter.

15:033x this time and this is 5x, 10x. Now, remember, according to Samsung, up until 10x, that's optical
15:14quality zoom and that can zoom up until 20x. You can still read what's on the sign and 1x wide.

15:30so don't mind that as well. Everything's in shambles but at least you get an idea of
15:35how much it can zoom. Again, this is 10x. Let me find that sign for you and you can zoom up
15:41until 20x. You can zoom further on photos but I mean, we're testing videos so let's show you guys
15:49this instead. Now, on Instagram, let's focus on that sign and let's zoom in. Let's see how far
15:56we can go. I'm also on hands-free by the way. That's why I can zoom with like two fingers and
16:02easier. This is as far as it can go. It's not nearly as zoomed in as you can on camera but it's not
16:08bad. Zoom out just to show you how it looks. On TikTok now, let's see.
16:20This is how far it goes. I think it goes farther than Instagram but not as far in as the original
16:27camera app. Okay, so finally on Snapchat, it does say that this is a wide shot. Now, historically,
16:32we've gotten like better performance on Snapchat when it comes to the zoom so let's see.
16:38Wait, where is it? There we go. See? See? What? That's crazy. It's zooming in further in than the
16:46camera app. Not the best zoom because after all, it can't zoom more than the camera app technically
16:52but yeah, that's further in. Nice. We're testing out stabilization on this phone now and right now,
17:03we're shooting with the native camera app of the Samsung S24. This is a selfie video and we're
17:08gonna simulate me walking and talking only in the studio because nobody got time to go out and shoot.
17:15I'm flying out tomorrow, okay you guys? And I really wanted to get this video out as soon as
17:20possible so we're simulating a walk and talk in this little space I have. Do not judge the mess.
17:25Okay, so front-facing video of the Samsung S24. This is what that looks like walking and talking.

17:39the obstacle to see just how the stabilization works. So walking and talking with the Samsung S24

19:08So the S24 Ultra is supposedly very good at low-light photos. But does that low-light
19:13capability translate to social media? Let's see. Right. Time for some low-light testing. This is
19:19the front-facing camera of the S24 Ultra shot in the camera app. And this is our only light source.
19:26This, on the other hand, is how low-light looks on the rear camera of this phone. We're going to
19:32compare how this looks to how the cameras perform when you shoot stuff in-app on social media apps.
19:42Okay. I gotta be honest. The fact that it looks like this right now. And this and the samples,
19:49I just showed you, looked way better. That's indicative of how good camera
19:53performance is in low-light with this phone.
20:02Oh, the rear camera did so much better. This is being shot in on the Instagram app.
20:11TikTok this time. Front-facing camera. And now shooting with the rear cameras.
20:19Snapchat this time. And this is what that looks like. Rear cameras. But what's so cool about
20:30Snapchat is that there's a night mode for photos. It doesn't work on videos, but it works on photos.
