00:06where the best sellers of coffee are the stars.

00:16Marikina City is known for its high quality shoes.

00:20But did you know that the city is slowly becoming known for its coffee shops?

00:24The news team asked, why do they like to drink coffee?

00:28It's delicious to taste and it wakes me up when I do my schoolwork.

00:34I was just encouraged.

00:38Marikina LGU invited the first-ever Marikina Coffee Festival

00:44to be held by the SK Federation and Marikina Tourism Office.

00:47This is where the various coffee shops in the city are located

00:49where the best sellers of coffee are the stars.

00:53According to Marikina City Mayor, Marcy Teodoro,

00:55the activity of many visitors in the city,

00:59plus the mayor,

01:00will also help in the production of coffee in the country.

01:03Many of these coffee shops were established during the pandemic

01:11as an alternative livelihood.

01:14So the entrepreneurial spirit of our coffee shop owners

01:21can be significantly felt at this point.

01:26I'm very happy that we have this opportunity.

01:30According to the Marikina Business Processing and Licensing Office,

01:34there are 220 coffee shops in the city.

01:37The coffee shop owner, Shelly,

01:39is happy that more customers are coming to her place.

01:43I think we haven't started yet,

01:45but there are already a lot of people coming

01:47because of the design.

01:48The lineup of our drinks is our signature drinks,

01:53so it's unique for the taste of others.

01:56Marikina LGU and SK Federation hope

01:59that more coffee booths will be held at the coffee festival
