00:00What are we to make about what's happened to Kahlil Herbert, the forgotten running back?
00:05Yeah, I just think it's kind of caught in a numbers game there where they obviously
00:12want to get the ball to DeAndre Swift.
00:14They've had a lot of success with Swift here lately, not only in the running game, but
00:20him making some explosive plays as a receiver out of the backfield.
00:24Roshan Johnson's fit in nicely with what they've asked him to do.
00:29I was talking to a front office guy with another team the other day, and he just out of the
00:35blue started telling me how much he liked Roshan when he was coming out of Texas.
00:39So the Bears are getting him involved.
00:42There's just not enough touches, and you got to walk a fine line there to get people opportunities
00:48because what's the one thing you hear running backs talk about, and I think you've heard
00:53people like Olin talk about it before also, you need to get that back lathered up a little
00:58bit.
00:59You got to get them going a little bit so you can get a feel for the game, and you can
01:04start turning those three-yard gains into fives and the fives into sevens and things
01:10of that nature.
01:11So I don't think there's a market for Kahlil Herbert if the Bears wanted to trade him.
01:17Like I'm looking at that, and I get all kinds of suggestions in that regard.
01:20Do you folks see how replaceable that position is?
01:24And if there was, you're talking about maybe a pick-swap, right?
01:29I mean, he's at a contract after this season.
01:32It just doesn't add up to me, and he serves a value for them on the roster.
01:36He's involved in the kickoff return game, and God forbid DeAndre Swift has something
01:42happen, you know, Swift or Roshan goes down with a high ankle sprain, then what are you
01:48going to do?
01:49Like, what's your answer then?
01:51He's got some depth now.
01:54There's nothing wrong with that.
