00:14Good morning sa inyong lahat. Welcome sa RSVP.
00:18Okay, pakilala muna tayo.
00:21Good morning.
00:22Go ahead.
00:23Ako pa si Austin Gabriel.
00:26Representing?
00:28Sorry, ako pa si Austin Gabriel, representing Filipino community of Nigeria.
00:33Nice!
00:34Hi, hello, good morning. I'm John Christopher Lagos, representing Manila.
00:41Good morning, everyone. This is Aaron Reyes, your Mr. Grand Philippines Filipino community of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
00:48Good morning. I am Joe Marzon Dunuan, representing Cordillera region.
00:57What's up? Good morning, everyone. Good morning, Rise and Shine. This is Kim Senya, your Mr. Grand Philippines Cebu.
01:04Thank you, gentlemen.
01:06Let's get to know more ang ating mga candidates and also itong Mr. Grand Philippines to Austin and John.
01:12Ano ba ang layunin ng Mr. Grand Philippines?
01:17For me, it's more like it teaches masculinity, brotherhood, friendship and everything like that.
02:12Tsaka I wanna know what makes you stand out among the other candidates. Kay A-Rod.
02:17Hello. Pageantry has evolved in many ways. I mean pageantry nowadays is not just about having beautiful face or perfectly sick.
02:25It is about a person who have advocacy. We have this kind of tagline, masculinity with responsibility.
02:31I mean we need to be sensible being masculine. All of us, different candidates, the 31 candidates of Mr. Grand have its different advocacy.
02:42Some of us are fighting for physical and mental health. Some of us are fighting for OFW like me. Some are for education.
02:51So now, to be a Mr. Grand, you need to have this kind of passion and compassion to what you are fighting for.
02:58Very nice.
03:01Okay, let's go to Joe and Kim. What are the advocacy that you are fighting for or supporting in joining Mr. Grand Philippines?
03:11Well, for me as an educator, I want to educate the people about our culture and heritage.
03:19And as an Ifugao, I want to educate the people about Icordilleras also.
03:28Because some misconception about us that we have tail at the back, may ipos daw kami sa likod.
03:39And also about our heritage that Ifugao are from Ifugao and not from Baguio City.
03:47And also, I am here to inspire the younger generation to value education also.
03:57Mr. Grand Cebu, what is your advocacy?
04:03Well, my advocacy is about our environment, the preservation of our land.
04:09Then we experience for the drastic effect of global warming.
04:13And it gives us a warning that we should not be a passive bystander.
04:17But instead, working so hard to listen this phenomena.
04:21Because I believe that we have the responsibility to deal and take care of it since it is our home.
04:28And that is for the next generations to come.
04:30The messages are so beautiful.
04:32Yes, their advocacies are so good.
04:35So, by heart, you know, the advocacies should have action and projects.
04:46Your advocacy should be experienced.
04:50I wonder Mr. Nigeria, how are you preparing for this competition?
04:55So far, so good.
04:57I feel like I am now going into a mental preparation this time.
05:02Because you can't get fitness so fast as early as this.
05:08So, mental preparation that regardless of the outcome of everything,
05:13just going through this pageant has made me a different person entirely.
05:17And that I am a winner regardless of not winning.
05:20As a human being that I am.
05:22So, that's it. Just mental preparation.
05:24That's what I am doing so far.
05:25Mr. Manila, how is your experience so far in this competition?
05:29Is it your first time or have you participated before?
05:32This is my first national pageant.
05:34So, I am overwhelmed.
05:36I am so happy because I tried it.
05:42I am so happy because this is my first national and it is also an experience.
05:49Good luck.
05:50As they say, maybe it is your first time but you will definitely win.
05:56I am more curious about Mr. Nigeria and KSA.
06:00Is this your first time in the Philippines? Are you an OFW in KSA?
06:04Yes, I have been working in KSA for 7 years now.
06:07But I am a blood Filipino.
06:09Oh, alright.
06:11So, your advocacy is also about OFWs.
06:14I wonder, what is the plight of OFWs that you want to give a solution
06:17or what are your recommendations for us to make our OFWs' lives better?
06:23Well, I am fighting for those OFWs who are experiencing negative things
06:29like depression, anxiety, as well as those who are deprived OFWs
06:34who are experiencing abuse physically and mentally.
06:37I am also fighting for those people who should have a quality education,
06:44especially the children of our OFWs.
06:48I have been connected to a lot of agencies, government agencies,
06:52to help them on providing such support to those people who are experiencing such.
06:58I experienced and witnessed a lot of people who are experiencing unfortunate things
07:05and I think all of us deserve some support and hug.
07:08You know what, Ms. Tia?
07:10It's true.
07:12According to the Department of Migrant Workers,
07:14one of the challenges for those OFWs who are living with their families
07:17is that they are experiencing depression.
07:20They say that depression is the number one challenge for OFWs.
07:23It's the social cost.
07:25Correct.
