02:01NFF President, Ibrahim Ghusal said though Nigeria defeated Libya 1-0 in the Friday
02:07encounter in the southern city of Uyu, Akwa Ibom, the incident has cast a shadow on the
02:13Super Eagles' victory. Yes, we won the match against Libya and took three points,
02:19but the fact that three lives were lost created a situation in which we were unable to celebrate
02:25properly and it holds seriously to even think back at the unfortunate incident, Ghusal said.

08:32Peter Obiwale reacting to the killing of the journalists described gunman killing in Nigeria
08:38as never-ending incident that is getting worse by the day. He said and in quote,
08:43The never-ending incidents of killings, kidnappings and other violent crimes across
08:49the country have continued to be of concern to many. The situation has continued unabated and
08:56is worse by the day. Non-state actors have continued to inflict pain and sorrow on families
09:02whose loved ones are often kidnapped and sometimes killed in gruesome manners. In particular,
09:08I condemn, in totality, the unfortunate killing of some crew members of Super Sports TV
09:15who were attacked in a tragic ambush along the Ihila Olu Road, Anambra State, a few days ago.
09:22These media practitioners were on their way to Rio to perform official duty for their medium end,
09:28indeed, the nation when the tragic incident happened, resulting in their death and the
09:33kidnap of others. Two days ago, a few persons were also reportedly killed while some others
09:40were injured in a terror attack carried out by criminals in the Agatu Local Government
09:45area of Benue State. These violent attacks, many of which go unreported, have now continued to
09:53define our daily existence in our once-secured nation. We are gradually losing count of the
09:59people who have lost their lives to insecurity in our nation. How much longer do we allow our
10:06people to die before we decide enough is enough? I condone with the families who have lost their
10:12ones to these recent attacks while praying for eternal rest on the dead and quick recovery for
10:17the injured. We are all in this together as a nation and will continue to demand for the security
10:23of lives and property of every Nigerian.
