चुनाव आयोग ने महाराष्ट्र और झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव के साथ उपचुनाव का शेड्यूल भी जारी कर दिया है। यूपी की 9 सीटों पर 13 नवंबर को मतदान होगा। चुनावों की घोषणा पर यूपी के डिप्टी सीएम केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने प्रतिक्रिया दी है। उन्होंने कहा, "हम इसका स्वागत करते हैं और हमें पूरा विश्वास है कि हरियाणा में जिस प्रकार जनता ने विकास को समर्थन दिया है, भ्रष्टाचार मुक्त हरियाणा के लिए हमें समर्थन दिया, उसी प्रकार महाराष्ट्र और झारखंड में भी हमें समर्थन मिलेगा...।" ईवीएम पर उठ रहे सवालों पर उन्होंने कहा, "विपक्ष अपनी पराजय का ठीकरा ईवीएम और चुनाव आयोग पर न फोड़े। लोकसभा चुनाव में उनके नंबर बढ़ गए तब ईवीएम अच्छी थी...।"
