00:00Previously, on The Apprentice...
00:10You're going to create a new image for English sparkling wine.
00:14Action!
00:15..both teams got a taste for the bubbles business.
00:18Can you smell Christmas cake?
00:20Tom left half his team...
00:21Have you guys got time to do the props and model?
00:23..to do the work.
00:24We're literally going straight into wine tasting.
00:26We can't do it. I won't. If we just do it.
00:28..their campaign fell flat.
00:31Do you think that really reflects the Englishness
00:33of what you're asked to do?
00:35On Ricky's team...
00:36Hey, guys.
00:37..his sparkling vision...
00:38I just don't want it to be too cheesy.
00:40No, it won't bake.
00:41..got blurred...
00:42Less fizz and more sparkle.
00:44Great.
00:45..by Jenna and Stephen's video.
00:47That's horrible!
00:49With the experts, it left a bad taste.
00:54In the boardroom...
00:56You've won.
00:57..Tom scraped through.
00:59Didn't tell you to make a carry-on boozing movie.
01:02Ricky got it in the neck.
01:04I don't know what you were thinking.
01:06Stephen managed another round.
01:08If I was project manager again,
01:10I would definitely deliver another victory.
01:12You are the project manager next, and I expect you to win.
01:16But for Jenna...
01:17You should not have been making a humorous video.
01:21..the party was over.
01:22Jenna, you're fired.
01:25And she became the ninth casualty of the boardroom.
01:30Now, seven remain to fight for the chance
01:33to become Lord Sugar's business partner.
01:446am.
01:55PHONE RINGS
01:58Hello?
01:59Good morning, this is Lord Sugar's office.
02:01Lord Sugar would like you to meet him in the city.
02:04The cast will be outside in 30 minutes.
02:09Guys, in 30 minutes, we're meeting Lord Sugar in the city.
02:13All right, see you in half an hour, boys.
02:16I'm so positive today. I'm so motivated.
02:19I can't wait to get out. I really can't.
02:26We've got no other option but to win this.
02:30I was on the edge of a cliff, one foot over the edge,
02:34pulled back in, so I'm going to give 110%.
02:40No-one wants to lose.
02:41You know, it's home straight now, isn't it?
02:43The final's around the corner.
02:48The city.
02:50One of the world's great finals.
02:54One of the world's great financial centres.
03:04High above the early-morning rush...
03:09..Lord Sugar.
03:13Good morning. Good morning, Lord Sugar.
03:15Well, here we are looking out over the great city of London.
03:19Now, Londoners like to work hard and play hard.
03:24But with the economic climate as it is at the moment,
03:28people are looking out for a real deal.
03:31And that's what your next task is all about.
03:34It's all about the new fashionable Daily Deal website.
03:40You will go and seek out suppliers like restaurants, hotels, shops,
03:47and you've got to negotiate with those people to get the best discounts.
03:52You've got to present your deals to the Daily Deals company tonight,
03:57and if they like them, they'll put them online
04:00and they'll go live for 24 hours.
04:03The team that takes the most amount of money will win,
04:08and in the losing team, one of you will be fired.
04:13Stephen, you already know that you're going to be the project manager...
04:17Yes, Lord Sugar. ..of Sterling.
04:20As far as Phoenix are concerned, you best sort it out amongst yourself.
04:25Everything clear? Yes, Lord Sugar.
04:27OK, I'll see you back in the boardroom in a couple of days' time.
04:30Good luck.
04:32Today, the teams must act as agents for an online Daily Deal company.
04:38Daily Deal websites offer discounts on almost anything,
04:43from high-end restaurants and hotels to health and beauty treatments.
04:49It's a fast-growing business worth millions.
04:55It's very simple, this task, actually.
04:57It's about negotiation and persuasion, fundamentally.
04:59Losing's not an option now. There's no defeatist in this.
05:02We're going to win this. It's just how much we're going to win it by
05:05is all I'm thinking about.
05:08MUSIC SWELLS
05:139.30am.
05:15Base for both teams, Daily Deal company, Quinoa.
05:20My name's Graham Walker, and I'm their CEO.
05:23Before they get started, some expert advice.
05:26Today, you guys are going to be acting on behalf of Quinoa,
05:29negotiating the most compelling offer for our audience.
05:32You can buy pretty much anything on a Daily Deal site these days.
05:36We're aiming for the higher end of the market, the top end.
05:39So, as you go about and negotiate deals with respective merchants,
05:42is the discount that you're negotiating sufficient to entice the customer
05:46to actually want to buy this deal?
05:48So, good luck, and we'll see you at seven
05:50with hopefully lots of deals to choose from.
05:54One day to get knock-down prices on luxury services.
06:00But only deals approved by the company will go live on its website.
06:05Keen to run her team...
06:07I'd like to be project manager because I do email marketing.
06:10This is what they do. Jade.
06:12I think I'd do well on this. It's about having a good offer, good pictures.
06:15Mm-hm. I'll go Jade. Yeah, I'm behind you 100%, yeah.
06:18I'm definitely the best person for the job in this case.
06:21I work with companies like this, and I know what offers work well.
06:24OK, I'd like to book the ones we want, cos they're all in London,
06:27then we'll plan who's going to go to which one.
06:29The key to winning this task, potentially, for me,
06:31is actually in the small detail about the number of deals
06:34you're getting at each place you're going to.
06:36Instructed to run the other team, Stephen.
06:39So hopefully we can go in and get maybe five or six premium deals
06:42from these locations that we choose.
06:44Obviously the pressure's on.
06:46My strategy is to get as many deals as possible.
06:48Ricky, you're going to go off on your own. OK.
06:50You're obviously a very, very good negotiator,
06:52and I trust you to do that.
06:53So me and Gabriella are going to be in London
06:55going to as many places as possible.
06:57I've positioned myself with Gabriella.
06:59I just feel that some things are a little bit beyond her,
07:01so I think I have to really keep her under a short leash today,
07:03but really get the best out of her.
07:05Both teams get a map of London...
07:07I would say central as possible.
07:09..and a list of likely businesses.
07:11Logistically, we might not be able to get round
07:13to as many as we would like,
07:15but what we can do is when we're at the locations,
07:17we can negotiate on a number of deals.
07:19Ricky, you're clear what you're doing, yeah? Yes.
07:21Crystal? Yep, sorted.
07:23Keen to get cracking...
07:24Come here, come on.
07:26..Stephen's team sets out in search of multiple deals.
07:30Staying put with a more selective approach...
07:33I'd rather have quality over quantity.
07:36Jade? Yeah, OK.
07:37This restaurant is an amazing place, absolutely amazing,
07:40and they will be keen to get people in.
07:42The menu's by Marcus Waring, who's a Michelin-starred chef.
07:45I think you've got Sanctuary Bar, 100%.
07:47I think we should look at teeth whitening as the second one in the area.
07:50My reservation with that is teeth whitening,
07:52you can get them at any deal site you want to go to.
07:54It's not that very exclusive. Yeah.
07:5711am.
08:00We're in the area.
08:01I was going to pop by and just take a moment of your time
08:04to talk through how we can benefit you.
08:06Making appointments on the move, Gabrielle and Stephen.
08:10OK, perfect. Great. So I look forward to seeing you then.
08:13First on the list, a dentist's appointment.
08:18Hi, I'm Gabrielle. Lovely to meet you. Nice to see you.
08:21Stephen, very pleased to meet you. How are you?
08:24Well, I guess, yeah, so in terms of what you provide,
08:26we'd be really encouraged just to find out a little bit more about that,
08:29first and foremost.
08:30The product we use is a power whitening system.
08:32We found the best way to do it is to do what we call a deluxe-type system,
08:36where you have a power whitening hour surgery session
08:39and you get a home kit.
08:40We do it for £475.
08:42Our reduction, based on the retail price, you mentioned £475,
08:45would typically be about a 40% reduction.
08:48Well, 40% sounds like a lot to me.
08:50I would say that I wouldn't necessarily go all the way to 40%.
08:53Probably about, I'd be willing to knock £100 off.
08:57With the dentist's offer on the table,
08:59a chance for Stephen to test his multi-deal strategy.
09:03So you've got your deluxe option with the home care kit,
09:05then we could perhaps have a deal without the home care kit,
09:08so you've got two options there.
09:09Is that something that sounds quite good for you in terms of the platform?
09:12Yeah, I mean, you know, we're a practice,
09:14but at the end of the day, we're also a business,
09:16so, yeah, absolutely.
09:18Stephen's strategy is to get as many deals as he can in each place.
09:22That means they have to be very professional and very efficient.
09:25So that's £75 for the price of £279 and £75 for the price of £199.
09:30Perfect. That's correct. Lovely.
09:32Two deals done here, so, so far, so good.
09:36In Mayfair...
09:38I'm slightly behind because of timing.
09:40..outside his first appointment, a call to Stephen from Ricky.
09:44So my movement, so when I come out of here...
09:46You're going to Champneys, this is the hotel in Tring, Hertfordshire.
09:49That will take you, Ricky, about an hour to get there.
09:51I'm more than happy to do that, guys.
09:53There's a possibility they don't want to give discounts and any commissions
09:56and I could go all the way there for an hour and an hour back and I've done nothing.
10:00I'm very, very sure that if you go and pitch that correctly,
10:02you could do maybe eight or nine, maybe even ten deals with them.
10:05No problem. I'll speak to you guys in a bit.
10:07Ricky, really, really important, questions, don't forget the questions to ask
10:09about the discount, what their period is,
10:11and, again, how many people are they getting...
10:13Gabby, Gabby, Gabby, you don't have to teach me how to suck eggs,
10:16I know how to ask all that, I'm in a rush.
10:18Before taking the trip to Tring, up 28 floors...
10:22Fred. Hello, Ricky. How you doing?
10:24..to a high-class hotel restaurant.
10:26Let me show you... Excellent, thank you.
10:28..one of the best spots.
10:29We get a lot of... Fabulous.
10:31..very important people, actors and actresses.
10:34And this is, look, this is what they get here.
10:36I haven't got too much time, it's obvious.
10:38I want to show you something else.
10:40The restaurant you see has been designed in a very, very nice way,
10:43with this raised elevation here, which means that everybody gets a view.
10:46I hope you don't mind. I want to show you something else.
10:49So, our kitchen. It's one of our signature dishes.
10:52I've got a nice scallop dish for you.
10:59Absolutely fantastic. Right, I am conscious of your time,
11:02so if we have a final conversation... Let's go.
11:04Thank you very much, Andre. Thank you. See you later.
11:06I want to show you something I'm sure you have never seen before.
11:10So, I'm going to phone up now.
11:11Do you want to keep having a look at the experiences? Yeah.
11:14At the website office... Jade, do you want...?
11:16Hold on, let me just phone first before you ask me questions,
11:19and then we can talk.
11:20..still sitting tight, chasing high-quality clients, Jade.
11:24Ideally, you're top of our list, really, to come and see,
11:27so as soon as you can, when are you available, Mary?
11:30Appointments fixed.
11:32Cheers, bye-bye. Adam, you're going to go with Tom.
11:35It's off to knock-down prices on some top-class service.
11:40Heading for an exclusive female-only spa, Jade and Nick.
11:46I think this one's absolutely vital, we get the sanctuary.
11:49Yeah, no, 100%.
11:50In terms of, like, leading the pitch for it... I'm going to do it.
11:53You're definitely going to do it? Yeah.
11:55I would like to do it too.
11:57This is a very important one, isn't it? I'm sure I'll be fine.
12:04Hello, Michelle Feeney, CEO. Michelle. Hi.
12:07Nick, I'm the spa director. Nice to meet you.
12:09We are representing a luxury daily deals site.
12:14We want to work with you guys
12:16and come together with some kind of package.
12:19One of our most popular packages is our spa indulgence package.
12:22It gives you full access to the spa facilities,
12:25a 25-minute treatment, and that is £110.
12:29Really, we want to offer something, you know, really good at a discount.
12:34We do, at Sanctuary, do deals, but not really highly discounted.
12:42The site generally works, but there's a 50% discount.
12:47The 50% rate is a far higher discount than we have ever, ever done.
12:5612.30pm.
12:5812.30pm.
13:02Another view again.
13:04Still being swept along by the restaurant manager...
13:07Look at that. Spectacular.
13:09..recruitment manager, Ricky.
13:11Excellent. Shall we have a sit down inside and...?
13:14OK, let's go. Fantastic.
13:16After five-star views and sautéed scallops,
13:19time to squeeze in some business.
13:22The website we're representing, it's a high-end daily deals website,
13:25so ideally to bring a new base of customers to you,
13:28a three-course meal which might be £100 in a restaurant,
13:31we'd be offering that for £50.
13:33It's a lot and we have 50% discounts with our partners.
13:36Sorry, can't do it.
13:38So you wouldn't be able to do any discount whatsoever?
13:40No. I wouldn't even give you 10%. OK. Can't do it.
13:42If we could bring in, say, a couple, for example,
13:45it's £65 for a three-course, which is £130 for the pair.
13:48Would you be prepared to let us do something
13:50if the two of them were sitting down together?
13:53No. So it's £50 each? No. We couldn't do it.
13:56Not even, say, £115? Not even £1. Not even £1.
13:59OK. Just wanted to clarify that crystal clear.
14:04Having eaten up his morning...
14:06Thank you very much. See you later.
14:08..no meal deal for Ricky.
14:10I'm very frustrated about this meeting.
14:12Honestly, that was a bit of a waste of time.
14:14I've learnt a lot of lessons.
14:16I'm going to use this to motivate me for the rest of the day.
14:19Central London.
14:22In terms of what you're requesting,
14:24it would be full access to the day spa,
14:26a 25-minute treatment, a glass of bubbly,
14:29two-course lunch and a product for £99 each.
14:33After an hour massaging figures,
14:35last chance for Jade to smooth out a deal with the spa.
14:39That's a high discount. Yeah.
14:41And is there any movement on that? Because that is at the top end.
14:44I think we...
14:46We're confident that we are going to push for you.
14:49You are our number one people to come and see.
14:51You're the people we want to push.
14:53We think that you've got the right brand and the right product.
14:56You're the people we're confident.
14:58If you could work with us, we'll get the best response.
15:02Right, OK.
15:04So we could potentially offer the 50% discount.
15:07That sounds really good. You have got such a high discount on.
15:10You've given us a great deal. Fantastic.
15:12We would love to work with you
15:14and we're very happy that you've done this special package for us.
15:17Thank you very much. We know this is a great deal.
15:20Hopefully it will work really well. It will work for all of us.
15:23I'm really, really happy.
15:25We've got a great deal which should cost £200.
15:28We've got it for £99.
15:30That was worth spending the time over because that is an amazing deal.
15:34West London.
15:37Hi, good afternoon.
15:39A luxury boutique hotel.
15:41This is gorgeous. Love all this.
15:43It's the sweatiest reception we've had in a minute.
15:45Dispatched by Jade to get a deal on a classy supper for two, Tom and Adam.
15:51That's absolutely delicious.
15:53Typically, when we work with our partners,
15:55we work with a kind of 50% on the typical RRP.
15:58Is that somewhere we could start off with this offer with you guys
16:01and see how it goes and maybe develop the business going forward?
16:0450% is a lot.
16:06You know, 30, 35% is kind of where we would typically find
16:09there's an acceptable level to us.
16:11If there's any way maybe we could push that, yeah?
16:15Is that something that would be...?
16:17I'll be honest, I think 35% discount is as much as we can offer.
16:21Yeah.
16:24Is there no way possible at all we could do the 35% off
16:27plus a complimentary tea and coffee?
16:29I mean, that's...
16:30That would be fantastic if we could.
16:32I mean, tea and coffee.
16:37It'd be fantastic and it's low cost.
16:39I know you've got margins to meet on the menu
16:41and I completely respect that, you know?
16:45If we could throw in a tea and coffee, it'd be great.
16:47OK, guys, listen, you drove a hard bargain, we'll give it a go.
16:50It's a 24-hour sale, we'll do tea and coffee.
16:52Fantastic. That's great. Thank you very much.
16:54Thanks a lot for that. No worries.
16:56OK, we'll do you, pal.
16:58Not a fantastic start, but I'm pretty pleased, mate.
17:01Across town...
17:04..and having second thoughts about his trip to Tring...
17:08Hi, mate. ..Ricky.
17:10I'll be upfront and honest with you now and I'll be as blunt as I can,
17:13I really don't think going to this hotel in Tring's a good idea.
17:16Why? I feel like if I'm doing that, I'm spending three hours
17:20and I could go to two other hotels
17:22and another restaurant in London in that time.
17:24I believe that you can get more deals out of that Tring place.
17:28If we don't get anything out of it, you're prepared to take that risk?
17:31I'm going to put my neck on the line here,
17:33but I say go for it 100% because that's my decision.
17:36That's fine, guys. Appreciate the help. I'll speak to you after.
17:39Today I just feel like everything I'm saying to Stephen and Gabby
17:42doesn't seem to make sense to them.
17:44They didn't want to send me halfway across the country to go to a hotel.
17:47Logic says the more meetings you go to, the more people you see,
17:50the more deals you'll make.
17:52And Steve is a salesman, he should know that.
17:55This is a huge decision, Gabrielle, here. Do I send him to Tring?
18:02You don't have to make a... No, no, no.
18:05Only thing is, if you do send him there, he needs to go,
18:08he needs to come out of there with more than one deal.
18:11His journey there will take approximately an hour, let's say, to Tring.
18:16Actually, wait a second, Tring. Bloody hell.
18:26Ricky.
18:27I've taken your feedback on board.
18:29Now, in terms of your movements,
18:31I would like you to try to book additional appointments.
18:33That will be the rest of your day. That will be my day, right?
18:36Sure, mate.
18:38With Tring binned, it's off to his next appointment.
18:45Cold calling from their car, Jade and Nick.
18:48We've got a daily deals website that we're representing today.
18:51What are you selling?
18:53We're looking to partner on a daily deal with yourself.
18:57No, we're not interested, but thank you very much.
19:00With just two deals in the bag, they keep working the phone.
19:05Hello, is that Thai Massage and Steam?
19:08It is.
19:09I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind talking to me
19:12about potentially setting up a meeting.
19:16OK, thank you.
19:18Bye.
19:19I think that was a massage.
19:21You know what you just... I think that was a...
19:24I think that was a whorehouse!
19:26SHE LAUGHS
19:31Right, Mayhem Paintball.
19:35I quite like the boat ride. I quite like that.
19:37You're checking a boat ride? It's high end, isn't it?
19:40Well, it's not even a speedboat, is it?
19:42If it was a speedboat, it would be different,
19:44but it's like a dinghy, isn't it?
19:46Go-karting or temping bowling, I mean,
19:48you know, these are boys who like to think they're living the life,
19:51you know what I mean?
19:52Living the dream isn't exactly going temping bowling with your mates,
19:55is it?
19:572pm.
19:59What would you do, Gabriel?
20:00Tell me, cos I need to book two merchants now
20:02in addition to the ones we've already got.
20:04Five hours to go before both teams must present their deals.
20:12It's going to be touch and go to fit another appointment in.
20:15Only offers that meet the website's luxury standards
20:18will get accepted.
20:23Oh, no!
20:25Fulham.
20:28Out to hook a deal with a fish spa...
20:30That is very popular, I know, at the moment,
20:32and I know in all the daily deal sites,
20:34they're always repeating it every couple of days.
20:38..Gabriel and Stephen.
20:41Oh, Jesus, that is...
20:43It's tickly. Oh, my God.
20:45Oh, Jesus, that's horrible.
20:50So, if you were to summarise in a word, or in a sentence,
20:53exactly what this is...
20:55I'd say it's nature's...
20:58..pedicure.
20:59Tiddler's nibbling, Gabriel casts around for a deal.
21:03What is your most popular package that you do right now?
21:07Fish combined with the pedicure.
21:09OK.
21:10Although I'm not sure if the fish is what you...
21:12You know, with the high-end market.
21:14I think there's a lot on the market that does the fish.
21:16Yes.
21:17I think you maybe want to try something different.
21:19Yeah, I think so.
21:20Gabriel really pushed for the fish pedicure,
21:23but the CEO of the website was really clear this morning
21:26that they only want luxury experiences.
21:29Would you be willing to go up to 50% discount?
21:33At a stretch, I could probably push it to 50%.
21:36OK, perfect.
21:37Thank you very much, Ben.
21:38Netted, three packages for flaky feet,
21:41making a total of five deals for Stephen.
21:46St Pancras.
21:48Unfortunately, we've only got about half an hour,
21:50so hopefully we might get you interested in the deal we've got.
21:54For Jade and Nick,
21:55a meeting with restaurant owner and chef Marcus Waring.
21:59What are you looking for?
22:00Well... I mean, you can put a deal to me.
22:02Really, it would be lovely for us to be able to do
22:05some kind of two-course meal with a glass of bubbly.
22:10Magical experience in a historic building with, you know,
22:13lovely food and, you know, where you can relax.
22:16But show me in numbers for two people.
22:20Erm...
22:23Times one, 0.2.
22:27Is this calculator a bit strange?
22:29Yeah, have you got a phone?
22:30Sorry, this calculator's a bit weird.
22:35Let's just second.
22:38Erm...
22:40It's about 40...
22:43I can work it out if it's round numbers.
22:46Well, just, just, just...
22:48If you're going to come and do these deals,
22:50I'll be honest with you guys,
22:51you've got to have done the homework.
22:53We apologise for not coming here with a plan,
22:55but to really use your experience...
22:57You have to come to the table with a sense of intelligence
23:00and a sense of understanding.
23:07I'm going to leave you for five minutes.
23:09I need more accuracy.
23:10I can't run a business like this.
23:12OK, guys, we'll see you in a minute. Thank you.
23:16OK.
23:21The West End.
23:23Still without a deal,
23:25next stop for Ricky, Michelin-starred restaurant Rhodes.
23:29Pressure for this meeting right now is on.
23:31For the time that we've got today,
23:33I need to make sure these people are going to buy
23:35before I waste any time.
23:36I would be looking at the set menu,
23:38so if it's a three-course meal for two,
23:40it would be 50% of that is the price that we'd offer it to them.
23:43It needs to be attractive enough in a 24-hour period.
23:46If we were to do a deal... Yeah.
23:48..it's out for one day, 24 hours.
23:50How many do you think we'd be able to sell?
23:52I mean, this would probably go against how I should come in.
23:55I should say, give me as many as you want,
23:57but probably a number about 50 or 100 at the top.
24:00So what if we were interested in maybe doing a lunch offer?
24:03Absolutely. Could we do that alongside it?
24:05We can build in more than one deal.
24:07Well, I must say, Ricky, I mean, it is very appealing
24:10and I think we'd be silly not to go with it.
24:12OK. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
24:14I'll take a lot of your time. Thank you so much.
24:16It's a deal.
24:17Discounted luxury lunches and dinners.
24:20Fantastic.
24:21Sealed with a second plate of scallops.
24:315pm.
24:33Where's seven hours gone?
24:36With just one deal in the bag.
24:38Let's call Jade.
24:39Adam and Tom.
24:41Welcome to the O2...
24:42Oh, it's so annoying, we need to call Jade.
24:44We haven't been given any sort of...
24:46What did she say she wants to do afterwards?
24:48Just book another.
24:50Photography, jewellers or personal training?
24:54Jewellers.
24:55Problem is, though, it's after five as well,
24:57so we've got to think of places that will still be open,
25:00so restaurants, takeaways...
25:02But it's high end, we can't put a takeaway off, can we?
25:06Not hairdressers?
25:07No.
25:13Back at the brasserie.
25:14Right, guys.
25:15Serving up the numbers, Jade and Nick.
25:18If we were to go down something like 30%,
25:20wouldn't work as well as 50%, but may work,
25:22we should actually leave you, at the end of everything,
25:24£55.44 from the £99.
25:26What you've just said we should have said earlier.
25:28Yeah.
25:29You know, it would have been a lot more attractive
25:31by coming in to me like that.
25:32We've got that in the end.
25:33I'll keep that.
25:34You have a look at that.
25:35Plucked from the jaws of defeat, dinner for two.
25:3730% off.
25:40As is always the case, it seems to me,
25:43they haven't got their eye on the clock.
25:45The deadline is rushing towards them,
25:48like a steam train at 100 miles an hour,
25:51and they don't look up and see it coming.
25:57One hour to go.
26:01Before both teams must be back at the Daily Deal website...
26:04Click, click.
26:06..to submit their offers.
26:08There's awards, there's credibility here.
26:14Mate, we're, like, in the poshest part of London,
26:16trying to flog them coupons.
26:18What?!
26:20For Ricky, a third restaurant deal.
26:22Excellent. Thank you very much. Thank you.
26:24And on the house...
26:26Did you know what our head chef is cooking up for us?
26:29Yes. I'm having a nice scallop dish.
26:31Oh, fantastic.
26:33Pan-fried to perfection.
26:43I'm Nick. David? Yes. Nice to meet you.
26:45Hi, David, Jade. Nice to meet you.
26:50I guess, to cut to the chase,
26:52would there ever be an opportunity to do test drives, I guess, Stuart?
26:56I can't see you doing anything that we're not already doing.
26:59Split and headache.
27:01Perfect. Nice to meet you. Thank you very much.
27:05That looks like a potential option there.
27:10Oh, my God.
27:13James? Yes, that's me.
27:15All right, great. Hi, I'm Gabrielle, nice to meet you.
27:17Good to meet you. James has spoken the phone.
27:20Where's he gone?
27:23Mayfair.
27:25Good evening, I was wondering if it would be possible
27:27to speak with whoever's in charge of marketing?
27:29We don't have a marketing department.
27:32Still trying to sniff out another deal, Tom and Adam.
27:37Perfumes? That'd be a good one.
27:39Miller Harris. Are they famous? I don't know.
27:41No idea, I've never heard of it.
27:43Yeah, they're all London clients.
27:45They like the high life, they like top-end products,
27:47like yourselves, you know.
27:49As soon as we saw you, you jumped out at us, really.
27:51Do you know Miller Harris? Yeah, yeah.
27:53Tom's a lot more familiar with it than me.
27:55His girlfriend shops here and she's bought perfume and so on and so on.
27:59I'm not local, but, yeah, Tom's very familiar with it,
28:02very familiar with it.
28:04So would you be able to do a 50 cent offer on the candle set,
28:07as the offer?
28:09I think we should try it. OK.
28:11To get this signed off and ready for 12,
28:13we need to get a contract signed in the next four minutes.
28:16I know I wouldn't like to put that kind of pressure on you.
28:2215 minutes before both teams must be back at the Daily Deal company.
28:27Oh, I'm feeling a bit of pressure, I've got to be honest with you, Ricky.
28:30I'm feeling a bit of pressure here.
28:32I mean, all I'm seeing is red lights in front of me in the cars.
28:35It's an absolute nightmare.
28:37What we need to remember, I know you're going to feel the pressure,
28:40is we have got some good deals out there which I think are going to be popular.
28:44Lads.
28:48We've got a deal.
28:50We've got a deal.
28:52We've got a deal.
28:54We've got a deal.
29:01This way.
29:037pm.
29:06Come on, guys.
29:07Time to hand in their paperwork.
29:10Hi, Graham.
29:12On Jade's team, six deals.
29:14Thank you very much. Lovely. Thank you.
29:17I feel that the deals have definitely been on brand.
29:20It's really hard to know whether we've smashed it or not.
29:24For Stephen, nine deals.
29:26All things considered, I can look myself in the mirror,
29:29I genuinely can say I gave 100%.
29:31Whether we've won or not, it's down to what happens tomorrow on that website.
29:37Next, which offers to go with.
29:39OK, which we start.
29:41The company will decide.
29:43Something new, and the other thing that really I like about it
29:46is it hasn't been on any other website.
29:48Yeah, that's a good one.
29:50The deals they pick will go live at midnight.
29:55It's way off brand.
29:57It's been everywhere.
29:58For me, it's definitely a no.
30:04I think we should present both deals.
30:06Yeah, I agree with you. I think you've got to run both, yeah.
30:09Good.
30:11After 24 hours online, sales will be counted.
30:15The team with the deals that make the most money will win.
30:20Results in the boardroom.
30:46MUSIC CONTINUES
30:58We can go through to the boardroom now.
31:16MUSIC CONTINUES
31:29Good afternoon. Good afternoon.
31:34These tasks were all designed to try and replicate a business start-up.
31:40And this one was a classic example.
31:42We're going to go out and find some deals and offer it to the website
31:47and we'll see how much stuff got sold, yeah?
31:52Sterling.
31:54Stephen, you threw the gauntlet down to me at the end of last week.
31:58You said, make me the team leader.
32:01So I did. So how was he then?
32:04I think the pressure definitely showed in the day.
32:06I think the pressure was on all of our shoulders.
32:08I did say that certainly we do need to maintain focus
32:10and really listen to that and try to keep pushing forward.
32:13Tell me what you'd done.
32:15I wanted to get the team out on the road as quickly as possible.
32:17We did a fish spa, which is quite in at the moment.
32:19For what?
32:21It was like a fish... Guararafa fish, I believe they were.
32:23So they basically nibble your feet and give you a massage.
32:26So Ricky went to two high-end restaurants and...
32:29What happened there, Ricky, at the high-end restaurant?
32:32We had a very in-detail conversation about the restaurant
32:35and when we sat down to discuss business,
32:38they weren't prepared to give any discounts whatsoever
32:41or pay any commissions whatsoever.
32:43So let me understand, how much time did you spend there at this gaff?
32:46I spent a good 30 minutes before I sat down to business
32:49and wasted a lot of time.
32:51So the point is, as you walk in there,
32:53hello, I'm from a daily deals website,
32:55and if you give me a good discount,
32:57I'll put your product up on the website
32:59and I'll bring you business, OK?
33:01Are you interested, yes or no?
33:03Yeah.
33:05Now, from what I've just gleaned from you there,
33:08it's as if they're saying,
33:10you know what, we don't want to be associated with this type of selling.
33:14Yes, Lord Sugar.
33:15Why didn't you establish that early?
33:17I made, and I'll put my hands up,
33:19I made a bad assumption that they should know how it worked,
33:22but one thing I did do... Timeless money, isn't it?
33:24Yes, Lord Sugar.
33:25What did you end up, restaurant-wise,
33:28putting forward to the website?
33:30I went to a famous restaurant.
33:32I signed a seven-course evening dinner.
33:34I signed up a lunchtime menu from the Ms Wilde's.
33:36You done two deals in one place?
33:38Two deals immediately in one place.
33:39That's good. That is good. That's clever.
33:41How many deals was he prepared to offer?
33:43In the evening, I made 100 deals for the seven-course dinner,
33:46and for the lunchtime menu, I made 200 deals.
33:48Did they put them forward or did you suggest those numbers?
33:50The numbers I discussed with them, and they really asked me my advice
33:53on what would be the right number.
33:54You might as well, it's your advantage,
33:56get them to give you as many offers as you can.
33:59So what else did you do then?
34:01Well, a strategy all day, actually, we sent the guys out,
34:03when I sent rookies, to focus on multiple deals, if possible.
34:05I think that would potentially win the task.
34:07It was, was it? Yes.
34:08So did you do any multiple deals?
34:09Well, we did.
34:10We've done two in the tooth whitening, in the fish clinic, spa.
34:14We agreed on three separate deals as well.
34:16So, overall, I think you dealt with five vendors...
34:20Yes.
34:21..but you came up with nine deals, is that right?
34:23Yes, Lord Sugar.
34:24That's quite smart. I've got to tell you, that's smart.
34:29All right, Phoenix.
34:31Jade, I believe you were the project manager.
34:34Yeah.
34:35Did you get any multiple deals?
34:37We didn't do multiple deals.
34:39That wasn't my strategy.
34:41I was very much focused on the fact we needed quality rather than quantity.
34:46We wanted to go for one very exclusive deal.
34:50I mean, they went to five places, got nine deals.
34:53I don't know how many got accepted, I'll find out soon.
34:56But, you know, while you're there, how about a deal on this,
34:59how about a deal on that?
35:02So who did you send out going where and when?
35:04Well, Nick and I went to the spa, first of all.
35:07It was originally £200, the overall package price,
35:10and they reduced it to £99 for us.
35:13And then after that, we went to the restaurant at St Pancras.
35:17I heard from Nick that there was, the guy got a little bit heated.
35:21He said, you should have come to the table with intelligence.
35:24We did a deal at the end of the day.
35:26You'd done a deal with him?
35:27Yep.
35:28You signed a contract?
35:29We did a deal with every single person we saw.
35:31Yeah? Yeah.
35:32And so you're done, you've done two restaurants?
35:34No, we did another one.
35:35We went to a French restaurant and got another deal there, and a great deal.
35:39So that leaves Adam and Tom.
35:43We visited the hotel, they were happy to do a five-course tasting menu,
35:47a 35% reduction.
35:49Are you sure you got a good deal?
35:50We negotiated very hard and we actually got the tea and coffee.
35:53How did you two come in?
35:54I feel it was a really good deal.
35:56Mm, all right.
35:57Late on in the day, we visited the perfumer
35:59and we agreed a deal on a 50% reduction on their candle set,
36:03and you could choose one or two candle sets.
36:05I'm a bit worried about your assessment of a good deal, quite frankly, you two.
36:10I mean, it's got to be a bloody good candle.
36:14So anyway, look, how was Jade as a project manager?
36:17Yes, it was good in the morning, but I think as the day wore on,
36:22there wasn't a lot of communication.
36:24Right, well, I'm going to ask Nick and Karen to read through
36:31A, what was accepted, and B, how you got on.
36:36You do realise that all the deals you put forward
36:39had to be assessed by the website people,
36:44so they might reject them all.
36:49So, starting with Phoenix, Nick,
36:53how many deals were accepted by the website?
36:56Yeah, well, of the six deals offered by Phoenix,
37:00only two were accepted.
37:02Two? Mm.
37:04And Karen, Sterling, how many of theirs were accepted?
37:09Of the nine deals that you offered, they accepted three.
37:14Of the deals that Stephen and Gabrielle put forward,
37:18the website took the golf deal and they sold seven units of that,
37:23which made a total sales of £350.
37:27Well, Ricky got two deals, and the 100 dinners sold out.
37:32Completely sold out. Completely sold out.
37:35And 90 lunches were also taken up,
37:38so that was total sales of £6,090.
37:43For Phoenix, Tom and Adam, how did they get on?
37:49They drew a blank. No deals accepted at all.
37:55Lunch deal brought in 70 sales,
37:58giving total sales of £5,950.
38:02Mm-hm.
38:04Jade's spa deal achieved 87 sales,
38:09total revenue £8,613.
38:14So that makes the Phoenix overall total £14,563
38:23and Sterling, £6,440.
38:28So Phoenix win by over £8,000.
38:34It just goes to show that there's a lot of people
38:38It just goes to show you, overnight, like that, you know,
38:41£14,000 was spent for your day's work out there as a sales team.
38:46Well, look, your treat is I'm sending you off to Cliveden,
38:50a world-famous hotel where you're going to have afternoon tea, all right?
38:55So well done, and I'll see you on the next task.
39:08So, Stephen, you know, when I sent you back the last time,
39:12well, you all witnessed this, really,
39:14there may have been some kind of implication here
39:17that his neck is on the line.
39:19I'm always very fair, and I'm going to evaluate this process
39:25on the basis of who is responsible for the failure of this task.
39:30OK, so off you go, and I'll speak to you later on.
39:35Watch it up.
39:43Oh, wow, look at this.
39:48It says here the world's most expensive...
39:52Yes. ..afternoon tea.
39:54Normally, for a normal guest, we would, for a couple, charge £500.
39:58And then you can always make it more expensive if you like,
40:01whatever champagne you want to go for.
40:03Who would have thought about doing a kind of a discount
40:06at a daily deals website on that?
40:13I really love winning.
40:15It's so much better than going to the cab.
40:17I love winning. That tastes amazing.
40:19It's the truffle, isn't it, that makes it...
40:21Gives it that extra... Smokiness, yeah.
40:23This is my perfect treat, eating.
40:27It's Team Phoenix.
40:29Cheers, everyone. Well done, guys.
40:31Cheers.
40:46So where did we go wrong, guys?
40:48It's pretty simple, really. We didn't sell enough.
40:50And the strategy was multiple deals, maybe.
40:52That was fundamentally flawed.
40:54Maybe I should have just slowed down a bit.
40:56I think Stephen is to blame for us losing this task.
40:58He buckled under the pressure.
41:00We had bad direction from our project manager.
41:02Look at it, we should have chosen smarter places to go to.
41:05Maybe our other options were just too common at the end of the day.
41:08If I was in Lord Sugar's seat, I'd be sending home Gabrielle.
41:11Contribution-wise, nothing coming.
41:13I could have easily worked alone on that particular day.
41:15Let's be honest, I've got it.
41:17Project manager, don't like losing, we've lost.
41:20I think Stephen should be fired.
41:23At the end of the day, he just lost the plot.
41:43Can you send the three of them in, please?
41:46You can go through to the boardroom now.
42:01Right, well, just to recap again,
42:04we had nine items,
42:08which I thought was rather good at the time.
42:12The only one that kind of came off well was the dinner deal
42:14and the lunch deal,
42:16but the point I wanted to ask you about, Ricky,
42:19was I've heard that it was your suggestion
42:23that he only offer 100.
42:26Is that right?
42:28I'll be upfront and honest with you,
42:30I didn't know what a reasonable number might be,
42:32and they were very much, well, what do you think, Ricky,
42:34what is the number?
42:36You have a one-time opportunity here,
42:39and you only pushed them for 100.
42:41They sold out.
42:43Sickening, that is to me, sickening.
42:45And I heard back from the website people that very rarely,
42:48very rarely do they allow their salesmen to sell out.
42:52Yeah.
42:53You should have negotiated for more.
42:55To be honest with you, it was a grave, grave mistake.
42:57The feedback from the website was that at least 250...
43:01Yeah. ..would have been the number for you.
43:03You two, the dentist,
43:07the dentist and the fish thing,
43:09did you not understand the need for something special on this website?
43:14In all seriousness, I've never been to a fish bar in my life.
43:17Gabrielle very much gave the advice that that would be a good seller.
43:20Assured by Gabrielle, that was a good thing.
43:22It's a well-popularised thing.
43:24Every Tom, Dick and Harry is selling it.
43:26And the thing about this website is
43:28is that they don't want to be classified as any Tom, Dick and Harry.
43:33You saw that the other team came home
43:35with a load of money from the health spa.
43:37These are the type of things that sell very well on there.
43:40You had a health spa out in the countryside,
43:42but I heard that you thought it was too far to go.
43:45I did, Lord Chibbering. We had the deadline.
43:47And I could spend the time more wisely in and around London.
43:50I was very much in favour, and I got resistance on both sides
43:53that it was not a good idea.
43:54And the words I said was,
43:55I'm going to take this risk, the decision's completely on me, guys.
43:58I'm going to go with it, and that's the bottom line.
44:00But the resistance was it's an absolute shocking decision
44:03and you shouldn't go with it.
44:04I think you're fine. I did say it was a bad decision.
44:06I raised that to you at 12 o'clock and I said,
44:08when I come out of the restaurant, we'll have that conversation again.
44:11You were really against it. I was against it.
44:13A big mistake, that is, because it's a famous place,
44:15if not more famous than the one that they represent.
44:18Ricky doesn't know London very well,
44:20so I thought I'd send him out to the countryside.
44:22One visit, I thought we could actually...
44:24If he felt that strong about it, why didn't you go?
44:26I just thought, logistically, me and Gabrielle would know London very well.
44:29You knew London that well, but from what I can hear,
44:32you were running around like a couple of headless chickens.
44:34He made a couple of cock-ups, right?
44:36Yeah.
44:37But other than that, he brought in most of the money, right?
44:40Mm-hm.
44:41You two, the stronger team, so to speak,
44:43bring in £350 of a business, a golf place.
44:47I mean, look, you know, seven units.
44:49In terms of the product selection, that was obviously a huge mistake.
44:52So whose fault was that huge mistake?
44:54Well, in terms of the fish spot, I went with Gabrielle's opinion on that.
44:57I did, you know, personally, I know I've got...
45:00That was your idea, the fish spot?
45:02Yeah, we got three packages from one place,
45:04with the hope that one of them would work.
45:06No matter how many offers you got there,
45:08the whole fish thing was flawed in the beginning.
45:12Look, I think we've gone far enough.
45:16Here we are in the tenth week,
45:18and I have really got to decide who's staying in this process, OK?
45:23What I'm going to ask now is that all three of you step outside,
45:27and I'm going to have a final chat with Nick and Karen,
45:32and then we're going to come back in here
45:34and I'm going to decide who's leaving and who's staying, OK?
45:37Thank you. Off you go.
45:48Well, Stephen and Gabrielle,
45:50I don't know what is going on there with those two.
45:53They were equally as bad as each other throughout the task.
45:57It was unstructured, it was chaotic, and it lacked any sort of direction.
46:01I mean, Gabrielle, when she came into the process,
46:04she started off, you know, quite fiery.
46:06She had a bit of a spark about her.
46:08I'm just wondering, as we crank up the complexity of this thing,
46:12whether she's under a lot of pressure and just can't hack it, you know?
46:17Ricky, he...
46:19He might have brought in the most amount of money here,
46:22but actually this is the fourth time he will be in the final three.
46:30Could you send the three of them in, please?
46:32Yes, absolutely.
46:34Lord Sugar, we'll see you now.
46:47Right, well, um...
46:49On this particular task, Ricky,
46:52give me your honest opinion of who should go.
46:56On this particular task, I put responsibility to both Gabrielle and Stephen.
47:00I think they both are hugely at fault.
47:02I think, although I did make mistakes on the way and I'm man enough to admit them,
47:06I brought in over £6,000.
47:08If there were three of me, we'd have beaten the upper team.
47:11Stephen buckled under the pressure that he put on himself last week.
47:14Absolutely buckled. Gabrielle, unfortunately, didn't support Stephen.
47:17I can tell you, I got a telephone call from you saying,
47:20Ricky, I really feel the pressure, the stress is on me.
47:23It's hard for me to have to motivate my project manager.
47:26I'm not a one-man band, but on this occasion, I was a one-man band.
47:29I think to say me and Gabrielle are both responsible,
47:32for your standards, Ricky, that's a really weak answer.
47:35In your honest opinion, which of us is more culpable?
47:38Just give me an answer at least.
47:40I'll give you an honest answer.
47:42If you ask me a question, I'll give you an honest answer.
47:46I think both of you are at fault.
47:48If I had to say who's stronger at fault, yourself.
47:50You buckled, you're saying you're as good at negotiating as me,
47:53you made £350 between two of you.
47:55How good is that negotiation skill? Terrible.
47:57You've totally taken yourself away from the possibility of blame
48:00in regards to the Hertfordshire spa.
48:02I did say quite explicitly to both of you, my neck's in a block here,
48:05but I'm totally one to go with this, I think it's a winner.
48:08My point is, if you felt so strongly about this, Stephen, about this spa,
48:11you should have gone to that spa.
48:13I made one mistake there and the rest of the mistakes in the day
48:16were negotiating, rubbish negotiating, no money.
48:18I'm going to put something out here.
48:20May I, Ricky? You've been talking non-stop.
48:22You asked me a question and I'm saying no, you just said may I.
48:25May I actually speak here? No, you may not.
48:27Look, look, Ricky, you've made yourself clear.
48:30OK.
48:31Stephen, without opening up the same old can of worms again,
48:36try and explain to me then why you don't feel you are responsible
48:40for the failure of this task.
48:42Blood sugar.
48:43On all previous tasks, all, bar none, I've went with a gut feeling
48:47and influenced somebody within the team to run with it,
48:50whether it be a pitch, whether it be a name of a source,
48:52whether it be a product selection, whatever it is,
48:54I'm a fighter and I'm going with it.
48:56Now, Gabrielle, for me, you're not demonstrating for me a fight.
48:58I want to hear from you on the task, Stephen.
49:00I totally disagree with that.
49:01No, no, no, you always bring up this thing about I don't do anything.
49:04Maybe I'm not as articulate as the other two boys,
49:07but at the end of the day, my idea is I do try and put them across
49:10and, to be honest, out of all three of us,
49:12I think I'm a more rounded candidate.
49:14I've excelled at selling,
49:16something I don't do on a normal day-to-day basis.
49:18Design, I've done, you know, in the briefs,
49:21I always give analysis of what I think should be, you know,
49:24should be done.
49:25So who's responsible for the failure of this task?
49:27I would say it is Stephen.
49:29I don't... I think he lost the plot.
49:32At the end of the day, what did you do apart from go along with me?
49:35Gabrielle, come on, come on.
49:36This is the most passionate, and I like it, honest to God,
49:39this is the most passionate I've seen you throughout the whole process.
49:42If you were like this on the day, we would have got a better result,
49:45and that's the truth.
49:46Stephen, why should you stay in this process?
49:48The simple reason why I should stay, Lord Sugar,
49:50is that from me, you are going to get somebody who will make mistakes
49:54but will come up the next day with a fresh mind,
49:56a fighting spirit and do the same thing again.
49:58I can guarantee you that.
49:59From a business partner's point of view,
50:01I'll always be straight down the line,
50:02always highlight my weaknesses and strengths.
50:04That's what I'm like.
50:05Nick, why should you be my business partner?
50:10I am not only fantastic at what I do in my industry,
50:13I've learned so many tremendous lessons from what you've showed so far,
50:16I've implemented them in every task once you've taught me a lesson.
50:19I'm such a great prospect for the future.
50:21I would really like to think that you see that in me.
50:24Hmm.
50:25And, Gabrielle, you are a nice girl,
50:28but I'm looking for a business partner here,
50:30not looking, you know, for a friend, yeah?
50:33I've got enough friends, I don't need any more friends, OK?
50:37So I remember at the very, very early stages of this process
50:41that you actually had a kind of a fighting spirit about you
50:45and I'm wondering whether you've still got it.
50:47I do have a fight in me and I do really, really want to win this.
50:52I still do contribute and I still do try my hardest.
50:55You know, you may not think I did well,
50:57but, you know, it was such an exciting moment when we were doing this,
50:59when we were doing that, shopping and changing.
51:02No, no, can you let me finish, please?
51:05Of course, but think about you.
51:07Yes, can you let me finish?
51:08Please stop being so condescending.
51:10All right, and in every task I do try and adapt myself
51:13to the person I'm dealing with.
51:15Yeah, OK.
51:17Listen, we can go on and on and on and on here
51:20and I'm going to summarise how I see things,
51:23which are really going to take into account this task here
51:27and the past ten weeks.
51:29Ricky, I must admit, you did sell some stuff here,
51:33but also you made what I consider to be a belligerent decision
51:38not to go to the spa,
51:40which I think was a very, very serious mistake.
51:47Stephen, you leapt across that table there, virtually,
51:52saying, please make me the project manager.
51:56I will win, right? And you haven't won.
51:58No.
51:59It's as simple as that.
52:01There was an air of panic that I can detect
52:04and I heard that from Karen
52:06and I've heard it from your colleague also.
52:11Gabrielle, I don't think you contributed much in this task at all,
52:16to be honest with you.
52:18Over the course of the ten weeks, I've observed you,
52:22I've observed you in this boardroom
52:24and I've got to weigh up
52:26who has a chance of being my business partner.
52:31I'd just like to reiterate that it is the person whom I feel
52:35is most responsible for the lack of contribution
52:38in the task that leaves.
52:46And on that basis, I've got to say that...
52:50Gabrielle, as nice a person as you are,
52:53it is with regret that you are fired.
52:57And I'd like to thank you very much for the opportunity
53:00and well done, boys, and thank you very much.
53:12Right, well, um...
53:15There's no smoke without fire.
53:19Stephen, you asked me for the chance to be the project manager,
53:23I gave you the chance.
53:24You told me you were going to win, you didn't win.
53:27You lost.
53:29And I think, on that basis, I've made a decision
53:32and that is that you're also fired.
53:36Nick, Karen, thank you very, very much for watching.
53:38I appreciate everything you've done.
53:41Come on, then.
53:47Ricky, you are quite precise in what you do and what you say.
53:53You present yourself well.
53:55You didn't win when you were project manager.
53:58And, you know, again, more mistakes on this occasion.
54:05And I have to go from my gut instinct.
54:08So I think that I'm going to say to you on this last occasion...
54:16..go back to the house and I'll see you on the next task.
54:19Thank you, Richard.
54:20On those warm, honest days.
54:28OK. Good luck.
54:32Well, look, ten weeks into this process
54:35and it really boils down to the calibre of the people.
54:39Stephen, well, he obviously made a right mess of this anyway.
54:43The figures tell me that.
54:45And I'm not sure that Gabrielle has been in her comfort zone
54:50for the last few weeks.
54:56The plan to me now is really just to get to groups of businesses
54:59I already have and just make them a success
55:02and show everyone that behind the smile there is a brain
55:05and I'm going to go far in life.
55:09I only wish I could turn back time.
55:11If I could, I would have stuck to my gut feeling.
55:13My gut feeling wants to send Ricky to the hotel retreat.
55:16Bit frustrating. Bit gutted about that.
55:21Guaranteed gone, Stephen.
55:23The question is, is there a second gone?
55:25I mean, imagine if just Stephen came back, we'd all be shocked.
55:28And Gabby, if she's fought a corner, she'll be coming back as well.
55:32Who is it?
55:33Ricky.
55:34Ricky!
55:35Hey!
55:36What are you, pal?
55:37Are you joking?
55:38Double.
55:39Yes!
55:40I'm a lonesome guy.
55:41Well done, mate.
55:42There's a peppermint tea there.
55:44Congratulations, mate.
55:45Lord Sugar did come out and said, I'm not looking for friends.
55:47The smallest man in the world sat there opposite Lord Sugar, Nick and Karen
55:50on that big boardroom.
55:51It just felt like about that big.
55:53My track record doesn't look good, so I had to fight.
55:55I learnt a lot of things. I could have done things a lot better.
56:02In the fight for Lord Sugar's quarter million pound investment,
56:06five candidates remain.
