00:00The arrest of Alice Guo in the illegal operation of Pogo in the country is now being planned.

00:31for the various cases that were filed in the country related to the illegal operation of Pogo.

00:44and the person who was in charge of the operation of Pogo in the country,

00:50According to Justice Undersecretary Nicolas Pia,

00:52they see it as important to prove that Guo was involved in the illegal operation of Pogo.

01:00The evidence against Alice Guo and her accomplices will be heavier.

01:08this new witness will add to the strength of our investigation on Alice Guo.

01:20Aljo, Guo's witness was called Madam Wah,

01:24also known as Tauhan sa Pogo in Purak, Pampanga, Laki, South 99.

01:29According to DOJ, the name Madam Wah has long been forgotten in their investigation.

01:35They are still investigating Pogo in Pampantarlak.

01:38According to DOJ, because of the new witness' statements,

01:43she may be included in the witness protection program.

01:46But it still depends on the case file of the prosecutors and the authorities.

01:53The witness protection program, she may be included in it.

01:57It depends on the law enforcement and prosecutors who are interviewing her.

02:02The importance of the case, as I said earlier, this is just additional evidence.

02:07But for now, for us, the evidence against Alice Guo is already strong.

02:13Aljo, you will remember that Alice Guo is facing a case in court,

02:18like the Qualified Human Trafficking case in Pasig City Regional Trial Court

02:24and it is related to the illegal operation of Pogo in Pampantarlak.

02:28DOJ has already said that they may have another complaint against Guo.

02:34As of now, DOJ still has operations against the illegal Pogo,

02:39but it is not as big as Porak and Parlak,

02:42like the one that was raised in Pasig City and other places.

02:45DOJ has seen that most of their operations are not spreading to Pogo in the provinces.

02:53Meanwhile, Aljo, aside from the illegal Pogo,

02:56DOJ has also been targeted in the case of trafficking of Filipinos who are doing sorority mother in other countries.

03:03DOJ said last Friday that they have listed new victims who were prevented from going to Palipara

03:11and they were put under the Inquest Proceedings.

03:14As for the 20 Filipinos who were victims of the Soroga case in Cambodia,

03:19they are expected to be able to return to the Philippines

03:22while the 13 are still monitoring the situation and their contacts.

03:28They will also be able to receive assistance from the government.

03:33And because they are victims of human trafficking,

03:35they will be able to receive from the government other benefits provided by human trafficking,

03:40including psychosocial support,

03:42assistance,

03:44and efforts to reintegrate them into society and provide a better life.

03:49And most importantly, non-criminality is also included.

03:53If they are committing a crime as a trafficking victim,

03:59they should not be held accountable for this crime.

04:01DOJ and the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Philippines in Cambodia

04:09will not punish the Filipinos who were victims of the Soroga case in Cambodia.

04:14According to USETC, there is a criminal case in Cambodia of being a sorority mother.

04:19Therefore, they should continue their talks with the government of Cambodia.
