00:28According to NEDA, even though it increased by 2.3% in October
00:33from 1.9% in September, it is still considered stable
00:37if it is based on the target of the government of 2.0% to 4.0% of the inflation rate.
00:42The Philippine Statistics Authority or PSA has explained that
00:44the main cause of the fast pace of inflation
00:47is the increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, especially rice.
00:51According to National Statistician Dr. Dennis Mapa,
00:54it is also a source of calamities and it can still be experienced
00:58until the next few weeks, this November.
01:23According to the PSA, even though the price of some foods like vegetables
01:27seafood, chicken, and bananas are still high, the prices of rice and corn are still high.
01:34Our expectation is that this is just a blip,
01:40and we expect that it will go down.
01:43Again, inflation rate and of course the price level per kilo
01:48in the coming months, November and December.
