00:00Hey, it's weekend weather time. Here's five things you need to know.
00:04It's going to turn cold. There will be a frost through the night.
00:07Some wintry showers are likely. There will be windy conditions for some.
00:12And there will be some rain or showers. So let's take a look at that in more detail.
00:16For Saturday morning, there will be rain or showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
00:19Some heavy downpours moving southwards through the day towards Northern England on brisk
00:24northerly winds. So it's going to be a windy day across parts of the north.
00:27The wind's coming from the north, so it will be feeling cold as well.
00:30In fact, some wintry showers are likely across the tops of the Scottish mountains
00:33and perhaps for low levels of Shetland.
00:35Meanwhile, the rest of England and Wales will see some bright or sunny spells,
00:38but there will be a line of showers moving southeastwards from central parts of England.
00:43It will be less cold across parts of the south.
00:45Moving on into the night, winds will ease and the rain or showers will clear.
00:48So it's going to be a mainly dry night with long clear spells and a frost forming for most places.
00:54That leads to a sunny start on Sunday, but a chilly and frosty one.
00:57Into the afternoon, cloudier skies will develop from the west
01:00and the winds will pick up in strength there as well.
01:02And by the end of the day, some rain is likely across the far southwest.
01:06Otherwise, a cold, bright and mainly dry day.
