00:00The Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, had the 49th National Advisory Council meet
00:05to improve support for the Filipino youth. DOLE Secretary Bienvenido La Guesma emphasized the need
00:11for government collaboration to address youth challenges from the Youth in Nation Building Act
00:16of 1995. Key outcomes included signing the rules for National Youth Day on August 12th
00:22and discussing the Philippine Youth Development Plan 2023 to 2028. The meeting was attended by
00:29representatives from several government agencies where they focus on enhancing youth programs and
00:34policies nationwide.
