02:14I walked up to somebody that I knew, took shahada, you know, they've been Muslim for
02:20two years and I saw him on the street and I was like, hey man, assalamu alaikum.
02:24And his reply was, his reply was, bro, I'm not a Muslim anymore.
02:41He went on to tell me that the Muslims were just too harsh with him.
02:48They were always telling him that he was wrong when he came inside of the masjid.
02:55They didn't like him when he wore his American clothes.
03:00They didn't like it that he didn't acclimate to the Islamic lifestyle right away.

03:13It started out by me avoiding Muslims and not going to the masjid because he said I
03:18could never just go to the masjid and pray without somebody reminding me how wrong I
03:27was pointing out a mistake here and a mistake there with bad manners, with harshness.
03:39And so it began with me avoiding Muslims and avoiding going to the masjid.
03:44Imagine, imagine some of us are the cause of why people don't want to go to the masjid,
03:53why people want to stay away from Muslims.

04:04I've heard sisters from, I've heard stories from the sisters too.

04:11I didn't wear hijab quick enough.

04:19I tried to reach out and talk to the sisters that sister said, but nobody really welcomed

04:48when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala ask you, why were you harsh with my, the one that I guided

04:57Because only Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala guides to Islam, right?
05:02And you are pushing away somebody.
05:04You are being some, you are being harsh with somebody that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chose

05:34Why couldn't you have been just patient with him?
05:37Why didn't you talk to this sister that I guided to Islam?
05:45Why couldn't you just accept her, say a good word with her, buy her a hijab, encourage
05:52her, inspire her?
05:55But you were harsh with them.
05:58Trust me, we are so keen to bring people to Islam, but we chase them away even quicker.

06:34And like Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, we follow that man, right?

06:44He sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, he who believes in Allah in the last day, let them
