'Star Wars,' 'Batman' and Bond memorabilia for sale at Propstore auction
From Yoda's cane to Clint Eastwood's duster coat in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," hundreds of items will go under the hammer next month in a sale of movie and television memorabilia.
Entertainment memorabilia auctioneer Propstore is selling more than 1,800 items at its annual live auction, which this year runs from Nov. 14 to 17, and which it estimates could fetch more than 10 million pounds ($13.1 million).
Items worn or used by some of Hollywood's biggest names are up for grabs, with plenty of lots from some of cinema's biggest franchises including the James Bond and Harry Potter films.
Leading the sale is a Sandtrooper helmet from the "Move Along" scene in "Star Wars: A New Hope", which has a price estimate of 250,000 pounds to 500,000 pounds ($326,900 to$654,000).

00:00and then like, this is my phone number, this is my schedule for the day, and this is my pack of food.
00:18I think a lot of Star Wars fans, in fact every Star Wars fan, will remember the moment when
00:47Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi pull up at Mos Eisley spaceport and they're stopped by the Stormtroopers
00:54and of course we see Obi-Wan Kenobi use his Jedi mind trick, saying these aren't the droids that you're looking for
01:01and then the Stormtrooper that tells them to move along, that's this Stormtrooper helmet.
01:06In the world of Stormtroopers there were only about 30 complete Stormtrooper costumes made for the original Star Wars film.
01:14From that you can distill it down to Sandtroopers and this is actually a Sandtrooper helmet
01:18and there were only half a dozen of those made and so it's an incredibly rare artefact as well.
01:43Well I think if you're a James Bond fan we have pretty much anything and everything that's going to suit your personal tastes.
02:07Everything from Daniel Craig costumes to the Bond girl costumes, we've got gadgets, we've got weapons, we've even got the number plate J80ND
02:16so if you're a James Bond fan and you've got an Aston Martin and you want to plonk it on the front, you could drive round dressed as Mr James Bond
02:22with the number plate James Bond as well.
02:52I think one of the most exciting costume pieces we have has come in to us from a costume house in Italy.
03:16It's never before been offered at market, it was in fact discovered after Propstal went to visit them hunting for some of these artefacts
03:23and it's Clint Eastwood's Duster from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
03:27Now the Duster is a synonymous attire for most Western films, this is deemed to be one of the best Western films perhaps of all times
03:36and Clint Eastwood costume pieces from those films virtually never ever turn up so we're super excited to have that.
04:17So from Harry Potter we have a really comprehensive collection of items coming up to go under the hammer
04:24and that ranges from small hand props and set deck pieces right the way up to Harry's wand from the first film and even the Marauders map
04:32so if you're a Harry Potter fan you've really got to check out the catalogue.
04:46I think the buyers for props and costumes just is incredibly mixed and diverse to be honest with you.
05:15We see some pieces go to museums, they go into institutions, they go to exhibitions for events
05:21but we also see very passionate collectors who want to acquire these and own them personally.
05:28They are much harder to display though of course, costumes take up a lot of space
05:32so generally speaking I think a lot of costume collectors have the costumes they have perhaps in storage for a period of time
05:38and they might rotate them out.
05:40Props are a little bit easier to display perhaps on a shelf or on a pedestal.
06:10.
