00:00We have so many highlights in this sale,
00:21from iconic golden era Wizard of Oz to more modern day films,
00:25Thelma and Louise, other icons, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley.
00:30But what's really unique about this sale is having the collection of Colonel Tom
00:34Parker directly from his estate, which is kind of uncanny.
00:45As far as something more rare that I think we've not seen hit the market,
00:50and this is another piece that I'm really excited about,
00:53is the telegram that was sent by Colonel Parker and All Star Shows,
00:58which was the management company that the colonel ran to take care of all of
01:02Elvis' appearances, shows, everything he did basically.
01:06It's really special because I've never seen anything like this where the colonel
01:10and the team, the next day, Lisa Marie was born February 1st, 1968.
01:15This was actually sent on the 2nd of February, the very next day,
01:20from the colonel and the team directly to Elvis and Priscilla.
01:24Do you mind if I use your phone?
01:28Oh, that's good.
01:31Yeah, that'll be a good cut.
01:35I was going to say, what?
01:36If he wants to take credit, he was trashy.
01:46We have a traveling clock from Movado.
01:49It's a mid-century piece that's beautifully inscribed on the back
01:52to the Admiral Love Elvis.
01:54And what's neat about that is, so Elvis called the colonel Admiral and the colonel.
01:59So he had kind of little pet names for him that the colonel obviously earned along the way.
02:04And the inscriptions on the back are just so unbelievable.
02:07But I think one of my personal favorites and one of the more rare and quirky,
02:11unique items of the sale is definitely the business contacts book.
02:16So the colonel has this beautiful business contacts book
02:21that literally has pretty much every major notable celebrity
02:24that Elvis was friends with or that the colonel had contact with.
02:41But I think another highlight of the sale for sure that's going to shock everybody
02:45is the handwritten lyrics for Heartbreak Hotel.
02:48That was the song in 1955 that Elvis wrote with Mae Axton that really kicked off everything
02:54and created rock and roll as we know it today.
03:04As far as auction value, I would estimate this between $200,000 to $300,000.
03:09As far as appraised value, this could be appraised for easily around a million dollars.
03:14It's just an iconic piece of history and there is not another one.
03:23So we expect this to sell somewhere in the $125,000 to $150,000 range
03:28just because of the rarity and importance of this piece.
03:31And the fact that it has the dual celebrity ties
03:34makes it really an exceptional find and great investment piece.
03:38Another fun fact is that it actually, when it was gifted by Elvis,
03:42the TCB did not have diamonds on it.
03:44Elvis jewelry is so unique because there's so many different asset classes within the asset class.
03:51So you have 50s jewelry, you have 60s jewelry, you have 70s jewelry,
03:55you have personal jewelry, you have gifted jewelry, you have stage worn jewelry.
03:59So there's so many different tiers of Elvis jewelry.
04:02In my opinion, the most valuable jewelry is definitely the 1950s era
04:06and also pieces that are photographed clearly on stage
04:10that have that connection and that provenance.
04:12But it doesn't make any of the other pieces less valuable.
04:24So these unbelievably rare glasses were actually worn by Elvis
04:29in multiple publicity shoots on multiple occasions.
04:33He later gifted them to his ranch hand.
04:35This phenomenal piece was actually gifted from Elvis Presley to Barbara Crosby.
04:40She admired it one day and Elvis ended up giving it to her.
04:43And according to her letter of provenance,
04:45it hung in the billiard room at Graceland between 64 and 65.
04:59A lot of our buyers and collectors, whether they're museums, public companies,
05:03private individuals, we found, because we've been watching this space for almost 20 years,
05:08every single year Elvis artifacts outperform the S&P 500.
05:13They have proven to be the best investments that you can make
05:16as far as anything that he ever touched, owned, gifted.
05:19It's just unbelievable.
05:26So what we have here is a pill bottle from 1962 that belonged to Marilyn Monroe.
05:32This particular prescription, we believe, was probably one of the last that she ever had filled
05:37because it was filled six months right before she passed.
05:40And it was for second all.
05:44This piece actually came off of the decking when they filmed Titanic,
05:48which was the 1997 blockbuster film by James Cameron.
05:52This is an original piece of the decking as they were doing the filming in Mexico.
05:57Another important piece of history we have in the auction
06:00is this is a real piece of coal that was on the Titanic that tragically sank April 15th in 1912,
06:06where 1,500 people lost their lives.
06:10What's interesting is someone had to travel down, I believe, over...
06:21We actually have the full ensemble.
06:24So the denim jacket and her outfit that she was seen wearing in the beginning of the film
06:29when she was the doting, obedient housewife.
06:32And as soon as they take off and get going on their epic journey,
06:35that was actually the outfit she was wearing in the beginning of the film.
06:46What's interesting about the Tin Man is all of his wardrobe and props were lost.
06:51We were told that there were three oil cans.
06:54This particular one came directly from Jack Haley's estate
06:57and was at the opening day for the Academy Motion Pictures Museum.
07:01So it was part of the opening exhibit that they had, which is pretty iconic.
07:05It does have that paperwork, full provenance.
07:08It is just an unbelievable piece because it's the only known artifact from the Tin Man.
07:14So the Academy actually valued it at a million dollars,
07:17but our client actually later had it appraised.
07:20It appraised for $3.2 million.
07:23So somebody stands to get a great deal and a great investment
07:26because that's another one we expect to just continue to go up in value.
07:30There's never going to be another Wizard of Oz.
07:32I think it's a great piece because it's the only known artifact from the Tin Man.
07:37So somebody stands to get a great deal and a great investment
07:40because that's another one we expect to just continue to go up in value.
07:44There's never going to be another Wizard of Oz.
