Luke Kaye, 56, from Swindon, UK, once held a Guinness World Record for amassing the UK’s largest Star Wars memorabilia collection - once valued at £1million.

Over the years since the age of 13 he has amassed a huge collection of Star Wars toys and collectibles - enough to fill a warehouse.

The first set is now being sold on Friday with one Jedi lightsaber set to fetch at least £7,000 on its own.

Another auction of over 16,000 items will be held in January. His collection was previously reported to be worth £1million.

00:00Hi, my name's Luke, second name's officially Kay, but everybody calls me Skywalker.
00:05When I was 13, we was in Weymouth with mum and dad in Star Wars Come Out.
00:09We went and seen it as part of our holiday.
00:11And then straight after that, I had to go to the toy shop and buy some figures.
00:14And that was it, basically.
00:15I just collected toys up until the age of 16, 17.
00:20And then I started moving in bigger stuff, and then bigger stuff, and then real big stuff.
00:24And then now the big boys toys.
00:26I'd become David Prowse's manager when I had a shop.
00:29I was probably one of his first managers.
00:31So we got him work up and down the country.
00:33And you bump into all the real famous people.
00:36And we started chatting, and I started opening a shop supplying movie costumes.
00:42And I just bought costumes, costumes, really authentic costumes and film studio costumes.
00:49I was hiring them out to the film industry.
00:51I'd become some really big clients.
00:54Yeah, really big clients.
00:56And that's how I started doing it.
00:57So the stuff I'm selling, I've got like five or six life-size droids, including 3PO and R2-D2.
01:02I've got a Star Wars number plate, which is probably absolutely amazing for a Star Wars
01:06collector, which is Star W.
01:08There's Ron Perlman's movie costume from Howlboy.
01:10There's Ninja Turtle heads.
01:12There's an alien Sigourney Weaver's alien pulse rifle sign.
01:15These are all signed by the cast.
01:17You've got to see the list of, I mean, Quadrophenia coat signed by the cast.
01:21I've got Luke Skywalker's X-Wing helmet signed by the cast.
01:24So I've got a lightsaber, which Norman Harrison actually made for the film.
01:29And he signed it to me and he presented that to me.
01:32I have them all stashed in a warehouse.
01:33And I just, these guys, these things need to be on display.
01:36So that's why I really want to give somebody the opportunity to go for them.
01:40Plus I need a new car.
01:41The issue that I've got is I've got the memories with all the actors.
01:45Some of the actors, including Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher was a very good friend of mine.
01:50And I've got all the photos, you know, and I've got the memories.
01:53And at the end of the day, I can't take this stuff with me, can I?
01:55So I've kept a little bit back.
01:57But the issue that we've got is I've got so much stuff.
02:01There's not going to be just one auction.
02:02There's going to be two and maybe even three.
02:04So look out for all the sign posters and all the sign, you know, toys coming up in January.
02:10And I've got all my costume collection as well coming up in January.
02:13So this is just the start of it.
02:14There's some amazing pieces here.
02:16So if you want a full-size Luke Skywalker mannequin with a full outfit,
02:20which is accurate, then Friday's, you know what I mean?
02:24I've got the full-size bike from Battlestar Galactica.
02:26I've got the rocket cycle signed by Flash Gordon in Dale Arden.
02:30The full-size one, you know?
02:31You can bring some stuff this home.
02:33I'm sure the wife would like one in the garage.
