00:00He had more time yesterday, the offensive line felt better, not great, just better.
00:05I don't think anybody got hurt, was it the first week that everybody that started played the whole game?
00:09Healthy offensive line, intact, they moved on Wenu back to guard, it felt like it was better, again not great, better.
00:16And so that to me would be the reason to make the switch because they can't defend Jacoby Brissett anymore.
00:23If you want to look at the offensive line and look at the weapons and look at the roster they have, it's a bad team, the coaching around them is bad.
00:29But as much as you can separate out the quarterback play and make it just about the way Brissett played yesterday, you can't defend it anymore.
00:36And that's why they're not going to, they're going to make a change.
00:38That's why they need to do something and save the season comes across as what, a playoff appearance?
00:44No, no, no, just having the guys play hard the rest of the way and not sort of, if guys are already playing for themselves on defense is what we heard.
00:54Or if guys on offense are starting to kind of question the decision making, you make this change, maybe it sparks them a little bit.
01:01No one's saying you're going to rip off 5-6 wins, but maybe you just start to play better.
01:05And for a lot of these guys that come back next year, you're in a much better position.
01:10So that's kind of I think what you're hoping for.
01:12But I still go back to Brissett, like he has played really poorly, but I think his play caller hasn't helped him at all.
01:19So this is where I would start because they were running the ball great yesterday, whether it was Gibson or Romandre.
01:25Romandre obviously had the long run.
01:27Gibson had a long run.
01:28Go ahead.
01:29Can I give you a couple of numbers?
01:30Yeah, please.
01:31I was reading Bedard after the game.
01:32He says despite leading for nearly the entire game, Van Pelt called 36 dropbacks that produced 160 yards.
01:38That's insane.
01:39He called just 18 running plays despite 141 yards.
01:43Romandre averaged 7.4 and Gibson averaged 8.7.
01:47It was a Patriots record.
01:49Not even exaggerating.
01:50It was a Patriots record in terms of yards per carry per game.
01:53And they dropped back 36 times for 160 yards.
01:56They ran 18 times for 141 yards.
01:58Meanwhile, Miami figured it out.
02:00McDaniel, who I ripped all last week, McDaniel figured it out.
02:04They ran all second half and the Patriots couldn't stop them.
02:0656 yards, field goal.
02:0857 yards, field goal.
02:0980 yards, touchdown.
02:11Their whole final game-winning drive.
02:13Run, run, run, run, run.
02:14The whole drive they ran down the field.
02:16And the Patriots, despite being arguably the better running team, got away from it.
02:20Tried to throw.
02:21And yeah, Van Pelt's a huge person.
