00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, continues to provide assistance through various programs.
00:10According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,
00:13assistance to individuals in crisis situations, or AICS, and assistance for those in need is included in the programs.
00:23In the middle of the day, social workers of their agencies are always moving around to provide assistance to the vulnerable,
00:31marginalized, and those living under the crisis of their fellow citizens.
00:35Under the AICS program, individuals who are vulnerable or belong to the informal sector are assisted
00:43to face the crisis after being assessed by social workers.
00:47Under the ACAP program, DSWD provides financial assistance to minimum wage earners who are severely affected by rising inflation
00:57and to fishermen and fishermen affected by the El Niño and oil spill.
