00:00Performance coaching, optimal wellness, well-being, performance, leadership,
00:07capacity, endurance, performing at a high level daily requires sensitivity to
00:15your own body so you know what you're capable of given your diet, your sleep
00:20patterns, your current stress levels and what you're capable of. Some days your
00:26body feels like you can give it a hundred percent and other days your body
00:29feels like you're only at 60-70 percent. So high-performance athletes, pro
00:33athletes, they know sometimes they feel injured, they got pain in a joint or a
00:37muscle or a bone, they sit the game out. Why? Because it's better to miss one game
00:41than miss the entire season. So intelligence, wisdom will tell you to
00:46pace yourself and be alert and aware to your body and what it's speaking and
00:51saying to you and it's no different with emotional and mental health and wellness
00:57and managing your own internal well-being, whether you're an educator
01:01or a professional, an executive, a manager, a leader of a company. If you're
01:06having an off day or you're not there, you're out of sync, out of sorts, out of
01:10mind, maybe just a little agitated or irritated, that may be the best day to
01:15call in for a mental health day or take time for yourself and skip that morning
01:20meeting lest you say something or rub someone the wrong way and cause an
01:23offense, alienate people and have to put the fires out for a whole month because
01:28of a little relational friction on the job. So being wise, being alert, being
01:34aware of when it's time to take time for yourself and take time to recover and
01:40heal and make sure you come back 100% ready to go and not work prematurely or
01:46haphazardly.
