00:00whatever the number is, it's it's phenomenal and unprecedented and so fun to watch. I think
00:06the thing that I've really enjoyed is just the brand of baseball. The number of players
00:11who have said in the last week, Joey Cora really got on us in Seattle. Like, what? Because
00:20he, they say he never talks in the meetings, but he just lit them up one day. And they
00:26all kind of, this was after the roster had changed, had gotten younger, more athletic,
00:29but they weren't running the bases any better. And Joey Cora made it clear with some very
00:34colorful language, apparently that, Hey guys, let's start running the bases. I want to see
00:40you over at third. And Zachary Kinstry said, we just looked at each other and said, okay.
00:48But that brand of baseball of putting pressure on opposing outfielders by running and making
00:53them make a mistake or hesitate on a throw. We've seen that more than a few times. That's
00:57a good brand of baseball. And then just, even though the defense hasn't been perfect,
01:02the big plays of the defense is making have been amazing. And it's all been led by the
01:07pitching, which that, that plan that Scott Harris and AJ put together is, you know, one
01:11of the more creative things I've ever seen. If you'd asked anybody, if they thought it
01:15would work like this, I'm not sure that anybody would have said, yeah, but a two 70 ERA, the
01:21last 51 games, uh, because of the plan that they put together, the best user pitching
01:27phenomenal.
01:28Yeah. Some people might've said it could have worked for a week or two, but seven weeks.
01:33Yeah. But to close the season, he's Dan Dickerson. He joins us this morning, the matchup with
01:38the Astros, like the Tigers shouldn't win the series. They also shouldn't be here. How
01:43do you think they match up with the Astros?
01:45Yeah, it's, it's daunting on paper. Uh, and then, then you think, okay, how, how could
01:53they, anybody can win two out of three. Seriously. That's an absolute fact. All right. So the
01:59key is Tarek Scruble on the mound from Raval does have a very good start against the Tigers.
02:05Scruble had one good start and another start where he gave up four against the Astros,
02:08but he pitched him tough. So he's got to be tough. Tigers had to figure out a way to scratch
02:14out a couple of runs in this start today. When, what will likely be, you would think
02:21a tight, low scoring game. Then A.J. Hinch gets to unload his bullpen in game two with
02:31all the arms that he needs, fresh, ready to go. Someone's going to be used today after
02:36Scruble, uh, assuming he doesn't go nine. And I think that's, that's the advantage of
02:43what the Tigers have. They've been doing it for two months. Uh, they'll, they'll use
02:47the entire bullpen if they have to, to get through nine innings to win a game too. But
02:53that, that to me is the whole, you know, if they don't win game one, it'll still be the
02:57same thing, just in a little bit different way. But I do think that to hold down this
03:02Houston offense, A.J. is big on, don't ever let them see the same guy three times. And
03:08really with a bullpen, this rested in this deep, they might not see in the same picture
03:13twice in a game. And that's a big advantage to the Tigers.
