00:00The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, or CIDG, has reopened the investigation into
00:06the murder of retired General Wesley Barayuga, following directives from PNP Chief General
00:12Romel Marbil, after new revelations emerged in a QUADCOM hearing.
00:17Police Colonel Nestor Grijaldo has been removed from his position due to the said case, and
00:23Police Lieutenant Colonel Santi Mendoza has admitted to facilitating the search for those
00:28responsible for the murder.
00:30The investigation will also review previous investigators' actions to identify any irregularities
00:36and clarify Barayuga's alleged connections to drug personalities.
00:41There is only one thing that is clear from the statements of our Chief PNP.
00:46No matter where and who will reach this investigation, he doesn't care.
00:53We will proceed where the evidence will point us.
