00:21According to the Philippine National Police Public Information Office Chief,

00:25the Philippine National Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo,

00:2718,802 police officers will be deployed nationwide for the long vacation.

00:33The Philippine National Police will guard bus terminals, seaports, airports, vital installations, and cemeteries.

00:41Brigadier General Fajardo also said that it is at the discretion of the regional directors

00:46to raise the alert in their respective areas depending on the peace and order situation in their area.

00:53Normally, when there are major events like this, our field commanders are given discretion,

01:00particularly the regional directors, to adjust their alert levels,

01:05particularly in those affected areas that are currently undergoing retrieval and relief operations.

01:14If they think it is wise to maintain a heightened alert level,
