00:00I can't imagine there was any transitional period.
00:02How much fun did you have jumping back in with John?
00:05Well, we really did.
00:05And you know, you kind of forget.
00:08Then it took about two seconds.
00:10No, John was great.
00:11He was all, you know what they used to say about Billy?
00:13He's tanned and rested.
00:14Every time George brought him back, yeah.
00:16No, he was, he hadn't missed it, you could tell.
00:19And I thought it was great.
00:20There is something about it, Susan.
00:22As I was driving home listening to you and John,
00:24it just felt whole and complete.
00:28I know, you know, maybe it sounds crazy,
00:30or maybe you being that you're the person who's
00:32providing the entertainment for so many.
00:36But it just felt like everything is normal.
00:38Ah, OK, John and Susan together.
00:39Do you realize the impact that you and John
00:42have had together for 20 years?
00:45How it makes just people feel complete listening to you guys?
00:49I've seen it this year.
00:51I never really thought about it a lot,
00:52because when it involves you, you don't really
00:55think about it like that.
00:56But I remember when, you know, growing up and listening
00:59to certain pairs of people that were on for 30 years,
01:02it means summer.
01:03It means when you were a kid.
01:06It means when you first fell in love with Yankees baseball.
01:09It's all of that.
01:10It's all very, very personal.
01:13And I think you just said it by now,
01:15we're totally John and Susan, wherever we go.
01:18And I was telling John when we were in Oakland,
01:22I've seen the same people in Oakland for all the years
01:25I've gone there.
01:26And that's a really long time.
01:28And everybody had said, you know,
01:30it's always John and Susan.
01:32And one family actually said to me,
01:34oh, we're so glad you're here to say goodbye.
01:37Didn't John want to come and say goodbye?
01:40And it really struck me when that family told me
01:43I'd watch their kids grow up, because the same people
01:45sat in that stadium for all those years.
01:48And it used to be quite the place.
01:50But when they say John and Susan,
01:51it's always John and Susan.
01:53It's not John Sterling, Susan Waldman.
01:54It's always John and Susan.
01:56And it's very, very personal to people.
01:58And think back when you're a kid.
02:00You know, think back when Bill White and Phil Razuto were on.
02:02That was many, many years of those people being your summer.
