00:09Instead of asking for a budget of 2 billion pesos, there is not even a half that the office wants to give.

00:18Instead of asking for a budget of 2 billion pesos from the office of Vice President Sara Duterte,

00:25only 733 million pesos was included in the plenary budget proposal for the OVP by its sponsor, Silano del Sur Representative Zia Alonto Adjong.

00:35This is based on the recommendation of the Committee on Appropriations.

00:38After the budget was removed from some programs of the OVP that are duplicating or being done by other agencies,

00:45this should not be considered as a breach.

00:48These agencies whose mandate, really, part of their inherent mandate, power, duty is the private services,

00:57will be the one to implement this program according, Mr. Chair, to the arrangement and the mechanism that the Office of the Vice President would enter into.

01:06According to ACT Teacher's Party List Representative Franz Castro, more than 700 million pesos is still high.

01:12Her proposal is that there should be enough funds so that the budget of the OVP members will not be affected.

01:18Because Hanijo is not here, we do not know where to use the funds.

01:26That is why, Mr. Speaker, my proposal, my proposed budget in the Office of the Vice President is 529,593,700.

01:55Because the OVP has no power to decide how to use the previous budget and how to spend the requested budget,

02:18Why didn't the OVP show up?
