00:15in the last 24 hours.
00:21In Lebanon, Israeli occupation forces increased their attacks on the nation's southern border,
00:25killing several targets.
00:32And South America has broken a record with over 50,000 fire outbreaks so far this year
00:37as the region faces its worst drought in 121 years.
00:50Hello and welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Delezuz Studios in Havana,
00:54Cuba.
00:55We begin with the news.
01:13Palestinian-Israeli troops committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip
01:17during the last 24 hours.
01:18Health authorities reported at least 40 people killed and 58 injured during the attack on
01:23residential areas.
01:24Emergency services continue searching for bodies trapped under rubble or scattered on
01:28the roads.
01:29The Israeli regime has killed over 41,431 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 95,818 others
01:37since the onset of its genocidal war last October.
01:44In this context, the Palestinian government condemned the killing of at least five health
01:47workers as a result of Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
01:50The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the constant violations by the Tel Aviv regime
01:54of international and humanitarian laws which prohibit the targeting of health workers.
01:59Over the past 11 months, Israeli troops have killed more than 990 health workers in Gaza,
02:05including doctors, specialists, nurses and paramedics.
02:08Occupational forces have also arrested more than 300 others and destroyed numerous hospitals
02:12and more than 100 ambulances.
02:21Israeli forces raided al-Jazeera's office in Ramallah on Saturday, arbitrarily closing
02:25the media outlet for 45 days.
02:28According to local media, Saudi troops violently stormed the office with rifles in hand and
02:32masks, presenting a military order signed by Israel to close al-Jazeera without giving
02:37any explanation.
02:38The Tel Aviv regime's soldiers on site handed the document to the head of the agency, Walid
02:42al-Omari, and then told the staff to evacuate within 10 minutes and to leave all the equipment
02:48behind.
02:49This event follows the recent attack carried out by the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah
02:52with a barrage of missiles against the Hamas-David Israeli air defense base.
03:00This is a cowardly attack on the Arab and Palestinian press and freedom of expression
03:08and an attack on the al-Jazeera network in the first place.
03:12The occupation forces arrived here and stormed this office at around 3 in the morning.
03:20Large forces stormed the city of Ramallah, the Manara area and the surrounding streets,
03:26closed the streets and prevented anyone from approaching.
03:30Large forces stormed the office here and then handed us an order to close it for 45 days,
03:36on the pretext that it supports terrorism and works on incitement and that they will
03:43confiscate all the content inside.
03:47On Saturday, thousands of Israeli citizens gathered again on the streets of Tel Aviv
03:51to pressure the government for a truce agreement to free the hostages in Gaza.
03:55Attacks in the Israeli capital have become more critical towards the government of Benjamin
03:58Netanyahu since the army announced the recovery of six Israeli soldiers killed in the southern
04:03Palestinian enclave.
04:04Since October 7, 2023, nearly 250 hostages have been under Hamas custody, while the Netanyahu
04:09cabinet has prioritized the political interests of the lives of prisoners.
04:17We are very frustrated about this situation because we want to be democratic and we believe
04:25in people and in good relationship with the Arabic in the area.
04:30We don't want to be influenced from this government who just want to part to make war and we want
04:42to live the best quality life for everyone in the Middle East and we want a democratic
04:50and a modern, developed place to live in the Middle East, all of us together.
04:58Meanwhile in Germany, thousands of citizens demonstrated in Bremen city in support of
05:03the Palestinian cause while condemning the aggressions carried out by the Zionist regime
05:06in the Gaza Strip.
05:08Protesters marched through the streets of the city carrying Palestinian and Lebanese
05:11flags and raising slogans to demand that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
05:16be held accountable for the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
05:20They also demanded an end to the genocidal war the Israeli regime has been waging in
05:24Gaza for the past 11 months.
05:31Also in Sweden, thousands of people participated in demonstrations organized in Uppsala and
05:35Stockholm in support of the Palestinian people and demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
05:41Demonstrators took the streets of these Swedish cities to denounce the constant aggressions
05:45perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the enclave.
05:47During the demonstrations, participants raised Palestinian flags in rejection of the Israeli
05:52genocide which since its beginning has left more than 42,000 Palestinian civilians killed
05:58and more than 92,000 wounded.
06:00For her part, the Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg condemned the genocide and
06:04affirmed that silence regarding this situation means complicity.
06:13Moving on, in southern Lebanon, new Israeli attacks against several Hezbollah resistance
06:16military centers are reported in the last hours as part of the escalation of hostilities
06:21between the two countries.
06:22During Sunday morning, the Israeli Air Force fighter jets bombed dozens of targets, including
06:26military structures of the resistance movement.
06:29In this context, they are being threatened to intensify attacks against Hezbollah in
06:32the coming days.
06:34Meanwhile, Lebanon answers to the Zionist offensive by firing more than 100 rockets
06:38at Israeli military installations in Ramat David.
06:46Following up the situation in the area, the number of dead in the bombing perpetrated
06:49by Israel against a neighborhood in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, has risen to 50.
06:54Authorities also confirmed that the number of wounded has risen to 66, while another
06:5811 people are still missing.
07:00In this sense, the rescue groups emphasize that search-and-rescue operations are continuing
07:04in the areas attacked by Israel.
07:07Bombing took place on Friday, September 20, after a wave of coordinated explosions in
07:10communication devices.
07:13In Lebanon, Hezbollah's resistance movement launched its most far-reaching attack on Israeli
07:21military bases in the occupied Palestinian territories.
07:24The Lebanese group, claiming a post on its Telegram channel that, in response to repeated
07:28Israeli attacks, it carried out an operation for the first time against the Israeli air
07:32base Ramat David, Haifa and Afula, with dozens of missiles.
07:36The Israeli Ramat David air base is located in the northern part of the Israeli-occupied
07:40Palestinian territories, just 20 kilometers southeast of Haifa.
07:44Since October 7, Hezbollah has been carrying out numerous similar attacks against the occupied
07:49territories after the Zionist regime significantly intensified its aggressions against Lebanon.
07:59In Iran, police forces dismantled a terrorist cell attempting to infiltrate the country
08:03from the southeast border to commit acts of sabotage.
08:06Iranian Border Police Commander Ahmad Ali reported that his forces repelled the attempt
08:11of a terrorist group to enter the country through the circumborder zone, wanting to
08:15carry out destructive operations in the country.
08:18The military high command recognized the vigilance of the Iranian border guards and detailed
08:22that its troops inflicted a severe strike to the terrorists.
08:25He also detailed that a large amount of weapons and ammunitions were confiscated from the
08:29cell, including portable wireless devices and an improvised explosive device.

08:55Welcome back.
09:17South America has broken a record with over 50,000 fire outbreaks so far this year as
09:21the region faces its worst drought in 121 years.
09:25The Burning Program of the Brazilian National Research Institute has confirmed that from
09:29January to September 2024, over 345,000 fires have been reported in South America, surpassing
09:36the figures for 2007.
09:38Meanwhile, the government of Bolivia has declared a national emergency due to the forest fires
09:42reported at at least 3,000 outbreaks in several areas of the country.
09:47In Ecuador so far this year, the Quito Fire Department has tackled 325 forest fires.
09:51Argentina and Paraguay are in a similar situation.
09:54According to official reports, this year wildfires have devastated a large part of the Amazon.
10:04And the Electra air tanker from Canada and an Airbus helicopter equipped with a Bambi
10:09pocket to transport water arrived in Bolivia to reinforce rescue and salvage efforts in
10:15the fight against forest fires.
10:16President Luis Arce confirmed the arrival of the air tanker in the city of Santa Cruz
10:20at a press conference, stating that fulfilling their commitment to the Bolivian people, they
10:24received the Electra air tanker in Santa Cruz.
10:27The Canadian tanker, which is expected to operate in Bolivia for 15 days, has a capacity
10:31to transport 11,500 liters of water, while the helicopter, with a capacity of 1,000 liters
10:36of water, is part of the incorporation of the Airbus Foundation of France.
10:41And in Peru, authorities reported at least 18 deaths and thousands of hectares of forest
10:50burned due to the recent forest fires affecting the national territory.
10:54The National Institute of Civil Defense, INDESI, stated that the latest deaths were registered
10:59in the San Martín region, while a third died in the Department of Junín.
11:03In this sense, INDESI declared before the Congressional Climate Change Specialization
11:07Commission that the fires have also left at least 165 people injured by burns and burned
11:13some 2,000 hectares of crops.
11:15The fact occurs after the authorities stated that 83% of the fires in the country had already
11:20been controlled and extinguished.
11:27In Brazil, investigations of forest fires in the country point to signs of environmental
11:32crime.
11:33After 85 investigations, the Delegate of the Federal Police in charge of the procedures,
11:37Humberto Freire, indicated that there are different hypotheses about the reasons that
11:42led the population to attack the planet's lungs.
11:44For her part, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, also sees
11:48a scenario of resistance to the resumption of an environmental public policy and that
11:53these fires are the product of a combination of an extreme climatic event that is devastating
11:56the planet and criminals who set the country on fire.
12:00Since early 2024, Brazil has recorded almost 200,000 outbreaks of fires and more than half
12:06of them started in the Amazon.
12:12In Ecuador, authorities decided to suspend electricity service for nine hours this September

12:28and Amazonian provinces.
12:29According to the report, the country is facing so far 71 days of hydrological drought and
12:34is considered the most intense in the last 61 years.
12:37The official press release added that the situation will be evaluated and that necessary
12:42complementary measures will be announced.
12:45As a consequence of the drought, 1,330 fires have been registered with around 7,600 hectares
12:51affected.
12:57The United Nations Children's Fund reported that at least 6 million children were affected
13:01by Typhoon Yagi in several Asian countries.
13:04The organization indicated that the countries most affected by the typhoon are Vietnam,
13:08Thailand and Myanmar.
13:10In this regard, on September 18th, the Thai authorities reported three deaths, bringing
13:13the total number of victims of the meteorological phenomenon to 18, while in Myanmar, almost
13:18400,000 residents have fled their homes due to the floods.
13:22Also in Laos, heavy flooding has devastated 8 provinces, affecting 60,000 children, while
13:28the typhoon has damaged essential infrastructure and threatened communities' living conditions.

13:44the passage of storm Boris on the European continent.
13:47According to the head of the Polish Prime Minister's office, Jan Gabryek, the natural
13:51phenomenon also left severe damage to more than 11,000 residential houses and some 6,000
13:57non-residential homes.
13:58He also specified that the natural disaster regime is enforced in 749 localities and currently
14:06affects around 2.31 million inhabitants.
14:09It is important to note that to date, the storm in Europe has caused human losses in
14:13Romania, Austria and the Czech Republic.

15:01received the highest number of votes, 42.31%, and Sajith Rimadasa, with the second highest
15:07number of votes, 32.76%.
15:09It is important to note that the elections are governed by a preferential voting model
15:14in which voters can choose up to three candidates in order of preference.
15:19If at the end of the recount none of the candidates obtains more than 50% of the votes, the votes
15:24in which they were second and third choices will be added.

15:44of the fourth day of protests, while villagers denounced that the authorities are perpetrating
15:48colonial methods of repression.
15:50Martinique's population also denounced that food is 40% more expensive than in mainland
15:54France, a discontent that is expressed by several dozen people blocking two supermarkets
15:59in the city of Le Francois, despite Bouvier's orders to deploy more security forces to increase
16:04the number of arrests.
16:06The protests have not been quelled.
16:13We are simple and concise.
16:15Today, we have speed cameras like in France, the same fines, the same prisons, the same
16:20taxes if not more.
16:22We have the octre de mer tax, the same roads, the same ID cards, the same passports.
16:28So why should it be different when it comes to food?
16:30Why do they insist on showing us that we are not French when it comes to food prices?
16:35Either we are 100% French, or we are not.
16:39We believe we are French, so we are asking that food prices be aligned with those in
16:43mainland France.
16:45The United Nations called for support to the ceasefire in the Democratic Republic of the
16:49Congo.
16:50The head of the United Nations Department of Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix,

16:57between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda in order to restore peace in the
17:02country.
17:03Lacroix also urged all armed groups to disarm, unconditionally, to give a chance to the ongoing
17:08political process.

18:00of the existence of a new strain which can be transmitted by close contact with skin.
18:11Venezuela presented before China's Council for the Promotion of International Trade its
18:15intention to host the China-Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit in 2026.
18:20This forum is part of the initiatives of the China-CELAC Forum, crucial to promote economic
18:24and commercial cooperation between both regions, so that edition 2026 promises to be a significant
18:30milestone for further strengthening the ties between Asia and Latin America.
18:35For his part, Ren Hongbin, the CECP president, praised the sustained growth of Venezuela
18:41in the last 13 quarters, and pledged to submit the proposal to the competent institutions
18:46and free and fair CCP-IT willingness to strengthen cooperation ties with Venezuela, considered
18:51as a strategic partner of China and Latin America.
