00:00Good morning to all of us. Today is September 22, 2024 and here is the update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:09The tropical depression that we are monitoring outside our area of responsibility is the last to pass in the 535 kilometers north-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes.
00:20This is the former storm Igme and it has no direct effect on any part of our country.
00:26At the moment, the southwest monsoon or tropical depression is still being enhanced.
00:31But here in our country, the effect of the tropical depression has already diminished.
00:39But we are still experiencing widespread rains, landslides and landslides in the area of Northern Luzon,
00:47which is the tip of the tropical depression.
00:49Meanwhile, in most parts of our country, we are already in improving weather conditions,
00:54except for the chances of isolated rains and localized thunderstorms.
01:01At the moment, we are not monitoring any other bad weather that could affect our country.
01:09For the time being, today is Sunday.
01:12The skies are cloudy and it is still raining heavily here in Ilocos Region,
01:17even in parts of Batanes and Babuyan Islands, the tip of the tropical depression.
01:21Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila, even in most parts of Luzon,
01:26we are only experiencing isolated or sudden and temporary rains,
01:31landslides and landslides of the tropical depression and localized thunderstorms.
01:36Our regional offices are still issuing thunderstorm advisories or warnings
01:41regarding these rains.
01:43The average temperature in Metro Manila is from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.
01:50Meanwhile, the whole part of Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy,
01:56even the skies will be cloudy.
01:58We will only experience isolated rains,
02:01especially in the afternoon and evening, the tip of the localized thunderstorms.
02:06During severe thunderstorms, the rains that we are experiencing
02:10will be moderate to severe.
02:14During severe thunderstorms, landslides and landslides can still occur.
02:19So be careful for our countrymen.
02:22The average temperature in Cebu is from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:26Meanwhile, in Davao, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:31And for the coastal areas of our country,
02:34we are still issuing gale warnings for the coastal areas of Batanes,
02:39Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Urdulot of Habagat.
02:44So we are still not allowing our fishermen and small fishing boats to sail.
02:52Here in Metro Manila, the sun will rise later at 5.45 in the morning
02:57and set later at 5.52 in the afternoon.
