00:03Here is our weather update for today, Monday, December 16, 2024.

00:10Three weather systems are affected in the country.

00:14Amihan or Northeast Monsoon, Shirline, and Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.

00:21In the next three days, the Northeast Monsoon will continue to affect a large part of the nation.

00:29Meanwhile, the Shirline is expected to continue to affect a large part of the Southern Luzon.

00:36The Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ has been affected so far,

00:42but in the next few days, it will also affect a large part of Visayas.

00:50Currently, there is no LPA or typhoon in the Philippine Area of Responsibility,

00:59as well as in the Pacific Ocean.

01:05In our forecast for today,

01:08the sky will be cloudy with rain in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and Aurora.

01:16The sky will also be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in Marinduque, Quezon, and Bicol Regions.

01:26In the southern part of Luzon, Metro Manila will be good and clear today,

01:35but there is still a chance of isolated rain.

01:39Let's go to Visayas and Mindanao.

01:44The sky will also be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Caraga, and Sok Sarjet.

02:00Meanwhile, in the southern part of Visayas and Mindanao,

02:08the sky will be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and Aurora.

02:23Because of the strong wind,

02:27we expect high waves in the nearby seas,

02:32in Batanes, Cagayan, along with the Baboyan Islands, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Union, and also in Pangasinan.

02:44Because of the high waves,

02:47we expect to have a high tide of 5 meters.

02:50Our people are advised to avoid crossing this area for our safety.

02:59The sun will rise later at 6.14 in the morning.

03:03The sun will set later at 5.30 in the afternoon.
