00:00At the start of the inaugural season of the Sharks Billiard Association,

00:04the Quezon City Dragons and Taguig Stallions faced off in the opening game.

00:08This is Bernadette Pinoy's report.

00:14The very first billiard league in the Philippines, the Sharks Billiard Association, officially started.

00:21In the opening game, the Quezon City Dragons faced off against Jericho Baniares' first overall pick,

00:27and the Taguig Stallions' first opponent.

00:29The Stallions were the first to score a 1-0, but the Dragons were able to recover in the following wraps.

00:34Here, Alexis Ferrer also made history as a Dragon Star,

00:38after scoring a golden break in the middle of the game match.

00:42In the last pitch of the Dragons, the league's first win was in the score of 15-6.

00:48Last night, the two teams battled again,

00:51in which the Stallions managed to score the winning goal of the Dragons in the score of 13-9.

00:56According to the founder and CEO of the SBA, Hadley Mariano,

01:00the games will be even more exciting next Sunday,

01:03and it is estimated that they are already preparing for the possible season 2 of the tournament.

01:08We will pave the way for season 2,

01:10and I'm excited for next week,

01:12because the two teams will play against each other next week.

01:16So, it's very exciting.

01:18We're allowing sharking, but the players are still quiet.

01:21They're still adjusting.

01:23They're not used to it yet. They're still shy.

01:25The main goal now is, we want to look for new team owners.

01:29We hope that once this concept is proven to the country,

01:32we'll get more interest from other team owners in other regions,

01:35so we can expand the league, and eventually grow it to maybe 10, 15, 20 teams.
