Liza Colón-Zayas chats with THR at the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet and reveals how 'The Bear' connects with everyone and dishes on the fan response to the show. Plus, she says she cannot choose her favorite guest star on the show.

00:21because the show is just that amazing. Why do you think it connects with people
00:25in the way that it does? I mean we
00:26rarely see storytelling like this. Why do you think the Bear connects in this way?
00:30Because everybody has, is trying to
00:33get through the day from their past trauma
00:37and so it doesn't matter what the
00:40occupation is. It doesn't matter what level of success you reach.
00:44If that stuff isn't dealt with, it just re-emerges in different ways
00:49and I love that the community is, we have a community that is lifting each
00:54other up
00:54through it all. The Bear fans are
00:58some of the loudest and they're some of the most vocal because they
01:02absolutely love the show in that way and I think that's amazing and we've seen that
01:05in season three
01:06because it's been pretty divisive. The reactions have been, you know, very, very
01:10interesting as someone who's a part of the show. Did you expect that? What's your
01:15reaction to
01:16the reaction? You know, I think that every, every season has got
01:20It Triggers People. You know, I love season three. I think
01:25it's cinematic. It makes us
01:28just have a, take a moment to really observe
01:32and sit with the feelings.
01:35I mean, and it's true. It's true that every season brings out a different
01:40side of these people. Like literally, I love watching all of the characters go
01:45through
01:45each experience, each heartbreak. I won't spoil too much
01:49but there's also been some amazing guest stars who have been your favorite guest
01:52stars of the season and if you could choose
01:55to have a guest star in the future, who would you want to see? That's a tough one.
02:00I cannot, I cannot choose my favorite guest star. They're all amazing. I mean,
02:05you know, Jamie Lee Curtis. You got, you got Olivia Colman.
02:10These people, I'm just in awe. Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson,
02:15John Mulaney, phenomenal artists. So
02:18it's hard to pick one. Who would I love to see? I don't know, surprise me
02:22every season I'm, I'm shocked. So
02:25I like that.
