00:00This furniture flip is a doozy. So the previous owner did let me know that it was a failed DIY
00:05But I knew immediately we could save it as you can see
00:08There's this weird stone inlay that we're gonna get rid of and modernize it and we are gonna save this girl
00:13Give her some new life. I first started by taking off the tack detailing
00:16I knew immediately what I wanted to do with this door. So I'm removing the door taking out the frosted glass
00:21There's just a rubber strip that peels back and then you can remove the glass and this is the first time that I'm using
00:27Citrus strip so unpopular opinion
00:29I didn't love it
00:30But I smeared it on just like I was supposed to let it sit in the Sun for a little bit keep it wet
00:35And in the meantime, I would filled so this was a little chippy. I had to make it worse to make it better
00:40You know, it's sometimes just be like that and then filled in the rest of the spots along the face of it. This is me
00:47Peeling off the paint you would think this is super satisfying but actually just made it really sticky
00:51I had to sand down the whole thing anyway
00:53So in the end, I just spent money that I didn't really need to and then this is what we're doing with the door
00:58so my dad helped me cut a
00:59Inlay for us to spray adhesive on and cover the whole thing. Then we put burlap on the top and just rolled it out
01:06I wasn't super concerned about measuring it because we were just gonna cut off the edges and make them super sharp
01:11So the door looks good from the inside and then we had to cut a new shelf
01:15This is actually an old coffee table that I just took apart and used the wood for is good quality wood
01:21Then I tried to whitewash the top of it
01:24I really wanted it to work out but it just was too spotty
01:27I actually had sanded through the veneer and I didn't realize it. So we had to paint it
01:31Anyways, this is great Barrington green by Benjamin Moore. We sprayed down the whole thing. I love this color
01:38I've used it on other pieces. It's just a really deep sage and it looks so good with the burlap
01:44So here's the finished piece
01:45I did not mention that we took out the stone inlay the brick inlay whatever it was and put a
01:49Just a piece of wood on the top to make it clean and it looks so good
01:53I also sprayed the hardware gold so it looked good with the burlap. Ah, I could eat it
