00:09on the opening day of the National Kickboxing Championship
00:11at the Tagaytay Combat Sports Center in Tagaytay City.

00:21in order to discover free athletes
00:23who have a chance to make their country proud one day.

00:33It's a pleasure for Sam to notice the competition
00:36in order to join the national team.
00:38For me, I just want to continue my father's legacy.
00:43Our dream is to join the national team
00:46so that we can help our family.
00:49One of the national kickboxing team aspirants
00:52is the Filipino and international player
00:54Wushu Sanda Gold Medalist
00:56and 15-year-old from Team Baguio, Zerian Basa.
01:00Since I was a kid, my dream is to play in combat sports.
01:04Samang Kickboxing was delighted
01:06by the successful start of the competition
01:09by the Philippine Tournament Director, Roslyn Hung.

01:14Because we are the Blue Zone Visayas Mindanao.
01:16We have participants as far as Basilan
01:19and Mindanao who came here to Tagaytay.
01:24This is just Day 1 of the elimination matches
01:26and it's just about to end on Saturday
01:29where the finalists of the competition will face off.
