00:00How are you feeling about hosting Toadie on tour?
00:12I'm really excited.
00:13I'm really excited to, you know, to kind of share my history on Neighbours and, you know,
00:20to meet the fans as well and to kind of put on a different type of show than hopefully
00:25what most will expect, I think.
00:29And what can people expect then?
00:31Well, obviously there's going to be, you know, talking about, you know, our storylines and
00:36behind the scenes stories, but we're also kind of, I'm going to attempt to bring television
00:44to theatre and kind of engross the audience in being on set.
00:50So you know, we've got kind of lots of behind the scenes footage and, you know, we'll do
00:55a recording of a scene.
01:00And obviously you're talking about Toadie, but do you talk about Ryan in this as well?
01:04Oh, absolutely.
01:05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:06Yeah.
01:07So that's part of the, that's probably a big part of the show is that, you know, I don't
01:13know that a lot of people actually really kind of know me.
01:15So it's certainly kind of, you know, pulling back the curtain and allowing people to get
01:23to know me and what makes me tick.
01:25So why have you decided to host this tour now?
01:28Well, I mean, the company asked me to do it like back in November and that was kind of
01:35when I knew I was finishing up.
01:36So it was like, all right, yeah, cool.
01:38I don't have anything on, so, you know, that sounds like a pretty good time to do it.
01:42So off we go.
01:45And Toadie, is this, I don't want to be morbid, but is it almost like a funeral to Toadie's
01:50character in Neighbours or is it a tease that he may return one day if the audience
01:55like it?
01:56Well, no, I think it's certainly, you know, a kind of like an acknowledgement of my time
02:06on Neighbours and, you know, kind of a thank you to Toadie and thank you to the audience,
02:12I think.
02:13Were you surprised at how warmly received Toadie was by not just the Neighbours fans
02:18but everyone else who ever tuned in and then got hooked by it?
02:22Yeah, absolutely.
02:23I mean, he's had a bit of a tough trot over the last year, but yeah, certainly I'm very
02:29grateful that he's been so loved over the years and I'm certainly hoping that a lot
02:35of the fans come out and say good day and, you know, say goodbye at the same time.
02:39And you yourself, have you ever been to Blackpool or Lancashire in general?
02:45I don't know.
02:46I've done lots of kind of like touring around of stuff.
02:49I mean, like certainly the Celebration Tour, I can't quite remember.
02:53I don't know quite where I go.
02:55I just kind of turn up and, you know, enjoy myself.
03:01Have you heard of it though?
03:02Do you have any preconceptions about what to expect?
03:06In Blackpool?
03:07Yeah.
03:08Just incredibly welcoming and friendly people.
03:12That's what I've heard.
03:14Are you going to be tempted to see what the nightlife in Blackpool is like after the show?
03:19Oh, look, why not?
03:21Why not?
03:22If everyone wants to go out for a drink afterwards, why not?
03:24Yeah.
03:25And for readers then who haven't got tickets, why should they buy some of those last remaining
03:30ones?
03:31Because, I mean, this is kind of like, this is a one off.
03:35This will, you know, this will never happen again.
03:38And obviously I'm finishing up on Neighbours.
03:40So it's a good chance to, you know, to say goodbye to everyone and to have a good time
03:46doing it, I think.
03:47It's a big theatre in Blackpool, so, you know, I certainly, I hope we get some big numbers
03:52coming out.
03:53So, you know, jump on board and get some tickets.
