00:00In English, bancheto is banquet, and in Tagalog, salo-salo.

00:05But the bancheto led by a community in Fairview, Quezon City,

00:10is not just a gathering of residents,

00:13but also a help and opportunity for small businesses there

00:19to introduce their services and products.

00:23Let's find out their business story here in Negosyo Tayo.

00:30This is our initial bancheto for the village.

00:38So today marks our anniversary, 11th anniversary of Brittany.

00:43But more than that, we're also celebrating more than 11 years of friendship within the community.

00:51So the best way to celebrate that is to break bread with our neighbors.

00:56This is our first, and hopefully it will not be the last.

00:59So our main goal is not just for business, but also for camaraderie,

01:04for community enhancing, and also to get to know all the neighbors.

01:08And mainly to enjoy.

01:10For start-ups, you have reservations to start up a business.

01:15So this is an opportunity for them to start with the community within the village,

01:21and hopefully it will grow beyond that.

01:24Mostly we have food items here out of the moment,

01:28but also we have accessories, clothing.

01:32We have 16 merchants right now,

01:36and we're hoping for 100 next time with the help of the homeowners.

01:40Not just the homeowners, but outsiders as well.

01:43Actually, it's very useful because I can showcase my products.

01:47I started my hobby because I have anxiety.

01:51And beading and wire art has helped me combat this.

01:56So to have an opportunity to sell my craft and profit from it,

02:01it's a good thing for me.

02:03There's an opportunity for a banchetto like this,

02:06so I have a chance to have my own pop-up shop.

02:11So it's a big help because at least they can see me physically, not only through online.

02:16It's good to mingle with your customers.

02:19Not just in social media.

02:21And actually explaining to them what is your product, what's the use of your product.

02:25So that's the main goal.

02:27And they get to do better again in terms of their service, their products.

02:32So because they already have ideas, they can use this as an opportunity to improve.

02:38It promotes actually a community-based program,

02:42which is basically being as a one family.

02:45So I hope I'll see you again on our next banchetto.

02:48For business owners, especially crafters, just express yourself.

02:52Just make stuff.

02:54Don't get distracted.

02:57Just be yourself.

02:59Whatever you want to do, just express it.
