00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has issued an Administrative Order and Executive Order
00:05to reorganize some government agencies.
00:08Administrative Order No. 25 reorganizes the National Economic Development Authority,
00:13or NEDA Board, which has the primary role in formulating, continuing, coordinated,
00:19and fully integrated socioeconomic policies and programs.
00:23Under the AO 25, the Department of Agriculture, or DA, and the Department of Education,
00:30are now included as members.
00:32They are tasked to integrate agriculture and education into broader socioeconomic policies
00:38and provide opportunities for discussion and cooperation towards attaining food security
00:43and improved education.
00:45Meanwhile, the Chief Executive also ordered the reorganization of the National Irrigation
00:51Administration, or NIA, and transferring it back to the Office of the President.
00:57Executive Order No. 69 underscored the importance of streamlining functional relationships of
01:03agencies to promote efficiency, coordination, and coherence within the bureaucracy.
01:09NIA is also tasked to provide policy and program coordination.
