00:00As-salamu alaykum, dear viewers.
00:04From Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center, Jamia Punjab, Lahore,
00:08on ARYQ TV,
00:10in the special transmission of Rabi-ul-Awwal,
00:14a special program with Islam and youth,
00:17Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mustafa is present at your service.
00:21Dear viewers,
00:23from the Prophet, peace be upon him,
00:26Divine love, faith, affection,
00:30and familiarity is a part of our faith.
00:33In fact, it is the foundation of our faith.
00:36But dear viewers, we have pondered
00:39that the one we love,
00:41we want to know
00:45how that person gets up,
00:48how he sits, how he walks,
00:51how he eats, how he drinks.
00:53What is his preference?
00:55We try to know about each and every thing.
00:59We are curious.
01:01And here, dear viewers,
01:03when we claim that
01:05we have deep love for the Prophet, peace be upon him,
01:09intense love,
01:11and we are proud of this love,
01:14but have we ever found out
01:17what were the daily activities of the Prophet, peace be upon him?
01:21Have we ever thought about
01:23how he used to wake up?
01:27And what were his daily activities after waking up?
01:31How did he spend the whole day?
01:33How did he sleep at night?
01:35Do you know that
01:37the way the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to sleep
01:39was that he would put his right hand
01:41under his right cheek
01:43and sleep like this.
01:45Have we ever slept like this?
01:47If for a moment, we also put our right hand
01:49under our right cheek,
01:51and try to sleep like this,
01:53then this will become a Sunnah.
01:55And the whole night will be spent in worship.
01:57Dear viewers,
01:59this is the topic of our today's program.
02:03What are the daily activities of the Prophet, peace be upon him?
02:07I have mentioned one of them before you.
02:10Our guest for today is
02:12Dr. Muhammad Abdullah.
02:15He is the director of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center,
02:17Jamia Punjab, Lahore.
02:19And I have said that
02:21on this topic today,
02:23the audience sitting in front of us,
02:25including Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center, Jamia Punjab,
02:27students and students,
02:29researchers,
02:31and those who are eager for knowledge,
02:35through them,
02:37tell us all
02:39what were the daily activities
02:41of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
02:43for at least one day?
02:45So I will request Dr. Muhammad Abdullah
02:47to tell us about the daily activities
02:49of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
02:51for one day.
02:53Dr. Muhammad Abdullah.
02:55All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
02:57And peace and blessings be upon the Master of Prophets and Messengers.
02:59And upon his family and all his companions.
03:01After this,
03:03I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
03:05In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
03:07Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah was a good example for you.
03:11Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
03:13First of all,
03:15I am thankful to the ARY
03:17for this special transmission,
03:19that
03:21this program is being broadcast
03:23in the Islamic Center of Punjab
03:25for the youth and the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
03:29Doctor,
03:31the topic you have given us,
03:33that
03:35the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
03:37and especially
03:39how did he spend
03:41one day?
03:43Obviously,
03:45the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
03:47is a perfect example,
03:49as I have read in the verse.
03:51And
03:53that life
03:55is called
03:57that which is destroyed.
03:59And that which
04:01is seen to us.
04:03That is,
04:05it is not a book or a vision,
04:07but a practical life,
04:09which can be followed,
04:11which is called an example.
04:13So, the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
04:15has been declared as an example in the Quran.
04:17And obviously,
04:19the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
04:21is very difficult for us
04:23to comprehend.
04:25And
04:27someone had said that
04:29the great and perfect example of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
04:31was taught
04:33to the whole world.
04:35The spring of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
04:37burst from his feet.
04:39His life was turned into a gulista.
04:41So, the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
04:43if we present to you
04:45one day,
04:47it is that
04:49he used to wake up
04:51at the time of tahajjud.
04:53And
04:55he used to rest in one part of the night,
04:57and in the other part,
04:59he used to wake up and do qiyam-ul-layl.
05:01For him,
05:03qiyam-ul-layl was an obligation.
05:05And
05:07he used to read azkar-e-masnuna,
05:09prayers,
05:11and after that,
05:13after doing tahajjud,
05:15he used to do qiyam-ul-layl.
05:17He used to perform tahajjud prayer.
05:19And
05:21after performing tahajjud prayer,
05:23he used to
05:25rest a little bit.
05:27You can say that
05:29he used to rest a little bit.
05:31But rest was not something
05:33in which one could sleep.
05:35He used to perform tahajjud prayer.
05:37And
05:39after that, he used to come to the mosque.
05:41In the mosque,
05:43he used to perform tahajjud prayer.
05:45And after performing tahajjud prayer,
05:47there are a lot of details
05:49about what he used to read
05:51in the first rakat,
05:53and what he used to read in the second rakat.
05:55We will not go into all these details.
05:57So, after the fajr prayer,
05:59he used to come to his place.
06:01And
06:03he used to talk
06:05to the audience
06:07and especially
06:09if any of you had a dream
06:11at night,
06:13he used to narrate his dream.
06:15And if anyone
06:17narrated his dream,
06:19he used to talk about it.
06:21Otherwise, the Holy Prophet
06:23used to narrate his dream.
06:25If a revelation had been revealed
06:27in that part of the night,
06:29he used to talk about it.
06:31In the same way,
06:33he used to talk about poetry
06:35or about the time of Jahiliyyah.
06:37He used to talk about it.
06:39So,
06:41it was not a serious
06:43gathering.
06:45In fact,
06:47he used to talk about everything.
06:49And then,
06:51after that,
06:53he used to
06:55perform the fajr prayer.
06:57There are two rakats
06:59and four rakats.
07:01So,
07:03he used to perform the fajr prayer
07:05and the ishraq prayer.
07:07And after that,
07:09he used to come to his place.
07:11Obviously,
07:13a person's family life
07:15is very ordinary.
07:17And it is known that
07:19the Holy Prophet
07:21chose his family life.
07:23He got married.
07:25He lived a luxurious life.
07:27He did not get married.
07:29He did not settle down.
07:31And then,
07:33he used to do the household chores.
07:35The Holy Prophet
07:37used to do the household chores.
07:39And
07:41this impression
07:43that a man
07:45has no connection with household chores.
07:47No. He used to help out
07:49in the household chores.
07:51For example, he used to wash the milk.
07:53And in the household chores,
07:55he used to help out
07:57in the household chores.
07:59So, this tells us that
08:01the life of the Holy Prophet
08:03was a rich life.
08:05And the Holy Prophet
08:07said something very basic.
08:09The best of you
08:11is for his family.
08:13And the best of you is for his family.
08:15The best of you is the one
08:17who is better for his family.
08:19And look at me.
08:21I am better for my family.
08:23So, the Holy Prophet
08:25presented himself as a model.
08:27So,
08:29a man should not be
08:31seen as a ruler
08:33or a ruler
08:35in the household.
08:37He should not have children
08:39or wives.
08:41The Holy Prophet used to enter the house
08:43with a smile.
08:45Obviously, he had a connection with the household chores.
08:47And in the household chores,
08:49there were not only the household chores,
08:51but also the servants,
08:53and other people
08:55who used to come to meet him.
08:57The relationship of the Holy Prophet
08:59with all of them was very kind
09:01and respectful.
09:03He respected the children,
09:05respected the elders,
09:07and used to train them.
09:09He used to teach them
09:11how to eat and drink.
09:13After that,
09:15the life of the household chores
09:17used to start.
09:19So, there are many details
09:21about this.
09:23I don't want to go into the details.
09:25You used to go to the market.
09:27You used to guard the market.
09:29You used to buy and sell.
09:31Our concept is that
09:33religion is not only
09:35a name of worship
09:37or a name of mosque
09:39to say Allah Allah.
09:41The life of the Holy Prophet
09:43is a full life.
09:45He has a livelihood,
09:47he has a business,
09:49he has an economy.
09:51So, it is a full life.
09:53Similarly, the Wafood used to come to him.
09:55He used to meet them,
09:57he used to greet them.
09:59He used to send the Jihadi
10:01caravans from there.
10:03So, it is a full life,
10:05a life of gathering,
10:07where he used to meet people
10:09in the market.
10:11If someone was sick,
10:13he used to go to his home.
10:15We get the guidance
10:17and example of the Holy Prophet
10:19from this reference.
10:21After lunch,
10:23he used to sing a song.
10:25This song was not
10:27a long song.
10:29It was only to
10:31wake up people
10:33in the night.
10:35So, he used to sing a song.
10:37You can say that
10:39it can be of 10 minutes
10:41or half an hour.
10:43It is not a long song.
10:45But it has a freshness
10:47in worship and life.
10:49It has a freshness.
10:51After reciting the Qaylulah,
10:53it was time for Zuhr prayer.
10:55He used to come for prayer.
10:57He used to lead
10:59the prayer in congregation.
11:01After that,
11:03the life of society
11:05continued.
11:07So, in all matters,
11:09we get the mention of the Holy Prophet.
11:11We get the mention of the prayers
11:13that he used to pray
11:15when he used to wake up in the morning,
11:17when he used to sleep,
11:19when he used to go out,
11:21when he used to go to the mosque,
11:23when he used to go out of the mosque,
11:25when he used to go to the market.
11:27We get all these mention
11:29in the books of Hadith.
11:31Similarly,
11:33there is Zuhr prayer,
11:35Asr prayer,
11:37and after Asr prayer,
11:39mosques.
11:41So,
11:43if we divide your life,
11:45then it is divided into
11:47three parts.
11:49One is your personal life,
11:51in which you used to worship,
11:53remember Allah.
11:55Second is your family life,
11:57which was spent in your house
11:59with your wives.
12:01And the third is
12:03your congregational life,
12:05which was spent in your society
12:07and in it,
12:09obviously, you used to
12:11perform religious missions
12:13and other things.
12:17After Isha,
12:19you did not wake up much.
12:21In our society,
12:23it has become a tradition
12:25that all women wake up,
12:27and Fajr prayer
12:29becomes a goal,
12:31and Fajr prayer becomes a
12:33victim of heedlessness,
12:35So,
12:37we should take care of this,
12:39and the Prophet has arranged
12:41that after Isha,
12:43you should not wake up much,
12:45but you should sleep on the bed,
12:47and then you should wake up
12:49for Qiyamul Lail.
12:51And the Prophet used to like
12:53to use the time of Fajr.
12:55During Fajr,
12:57there is a blessing.
12:59In business,
13:01whatever work you have to do,
13:03should be done during Fajr.
13:05In this,
13:07there is a blessing from Allah.
13:09So,
13:11these were the things,
13:13that I said,
13:15that cannot be explained.
13:17And at the end,
13:19I will say the couplet of Hafiz Ta'ib,
13:21that there is fragrance in both worlds.
13:23Yours is the flower of life.
13:25From which mouth should I express
13:27your noble qualities?
13:29You are the soul of the earth,
13:31you are the master of literature,
13:33you are the poet,
13:35you are the best of the world.
13:37This is my belief.
13:39Thank you very much.
13:41Ladies and gentlemen,
13:43we are in Jamia Punjab, Lahore,
13:45in Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center.
13:47This is an event of Islam and youth.
13:49If it is Jamia Punjab,
13:51then how is it possible
13:53that we don't have
13:55researchers here?
13:57Ladies and gentlemen,
13:59the audience in front of us
14:01are researchers
14:03of Jamia Punjab's
14:05Department of Islamic Studies,
14:07Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center.
14:09There are students as well,
14:11teachers are also present.
14:13I would request them,
14:15if anyone has any questions
14:17about Dr. Zaid's speech,
14:19or if you would like to know
14:21more about his biography,
14:23then you can ask.
14:25My name is Atiq-ur-Rehman Saqi
14:27My question is that
14:29while speaking,
14:31the Prophet, peace be upon him,
14:33after Fajr prayer,
14:35used to ask the companions
14:37if they had a dream
14:39at night.
14:41Whereas Islamic teachings
14:43tell us not to tell
14:45our dreams to everyone.
14:47We understand that
14:49the Prophet is not an ordinary person,
14:51he is a Prophet of Allah,
14:53a special person.
14:55He used to say,
14:57you can ask,
14:59but this means that
15:01the dream is gone.
15:03What is the reason for this?
15:05You have asked a very good question,
15:07Atiq-ur-Rehman.
15:09The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:11used to say that
15:13after Fajr prayer,
15:15he would sit at his place
15:17and talk to the companions.
15:19This conversation
15:21was not on one topic,
15:23but on two topics.
15:25One of them was that
15:27the Prophet would ask
15:29if any of the companions
15:31had a dream.
15:33The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:35used to talk about his dream
15:37or his revelation.
15:39It is obvious that
15:41the Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:43was more important than
15:45the Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:47the Prophet of the end of times.
15:49The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:51used to talk about his dream.
15:53The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:55used to talk about his dream.
15:57The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:59used to talk about his dream.
16:01There are some things
16:03that are of a personal nature.
16:05These things will be
16:07mentioned separately,
16:09but there are some things
16:11that are related to the gathering.
16:13Others also learn
16:15how to ask a question
16:17and how the Prophet
16:19used to talk about his dream.
16:21The Prophet, peace be upon him,
16:23used to talk about his dream.
16:25This is the knowledge
16:27of the interpretation of the dream.
16:29The Prophet, peace be upon him,
16:31used to talk about his dream.
16:33He used to talk about
16:35many dreams of his.
16:37For example,
16:39the Prophet described
16:41the Miraj in the same way.
16:43He described the Miraj in the same way.
16:45Similarly,
16:47If such a revelation had been revealed, then you would have stated it.
16:50Obviously, a dream is a special matter of a human being.
16:56And it should be stated in front of an intellectual person only.
17:01Who can be more intellectual than the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him?
17:06Peace be upon you, Sir. My name is Bisma Zaheer.
17:09I am a student of Jamia Punjab Sheikh Zahid Islamic Centre.
17:11I am in the 7th semester of B.Sc.
17:13Sir, my question is that the guidance of Seerat-e-Tayyiba
17:17is limited to the personality only,
17:20or will it have an effect on the entire structure of Millat-e-Islamia?
17:25Yes, yes. This is a very good question.
17:27They have asked the question that
17:29does Seerat only guide the personal life,
17:32or does it also guide the national and social life?
17:36So, the thing is that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,
17:41and your example is a perfect example.
17:45It is a good example.
17:47And both aspects are included in it.
17:50And the verse of Surah Baqarah,
17:52Arabic
18:00That is, where you have focused on the personal life,
18:04you have focused on the personal structure,
18:06you have purified the soul,
18:08you have purified the human soul,
18:11there, for the prosperity of the society,
18:15for the community,
18:17obviously, as I have told you,
18:19one is your personal life,
18:20one is your family life,
18:22and one is your community life.
18:24You used to go to the market,
18:26you used to see in the market
18:28how the trade was going on,
18:30how the trade was going on,
18:31you used to come back,
18:33you used to come back when you were ill,
18:36you used to come back when someone passed away,
18:38you used to go to their funeral.
18:40So, this is a society.
18:42In the same way, most of all,
18:44the state is a reform of a system.
18:48So, the Prophet established a state,
18:51and in that state there were Muslims,
18:54there were non-Muslims,
18:55there were Jews,
18:56there were Christians.
18:57So, he gave a system.
18:59He established a state.
19:02In that state, there was Jihad,
19:04there was the system of prayer,
19:06there was the whole system.
19:07So, the life of the Prophet,
19:09and his biography,
19:11also guides us in the society.
19:14Whether it is trade,
19:16whether it is livelihood,
19:17whether it is morals,
19:19whether it is politics,
19:20in every way,
19:21the biography of the Prophet,
19:23guides us.
19:25Yes, any other question?
19:27Peace be upon you.
19:28My name is Ameer Muawiyah,
19:30and I am a 7th semester student
19:32at the Islamic Center.
19:34Sir, my question is,
19:35regarding sports,
19:36what guidance do we get
19:38about the biography of the Prophet?
19:40Yes, dear,
19:42this is a very important question of yours,
19:44that sports,
19:45that is, regarding entertainment,
19:47what guidance does the biography of the Prophet
19:49give us?
19:51Usually, our impression is that
19:53people who are related to religion,
19:56people who are related to religion,
19:58people who are related to religion,

20:22The Qur'an has mentioned about a perfect human being,
20:28that he possesses strength and majesty in both knowledge and body.
20:37Similarly, in the mention of Prophet Yusuf,
20:41the brothers say that we will take him with us so that he can play with us.
20:46There is a saying of Prophet Yusuf,
20:50in which he says that a strong believer is better than a weak believer.
20:56So who will be a strong believer?
20:58A strong believer will be the one who will work hard physically,
21:02who will play,
21:05who will participate in entertainment.
21:07His body will be strong.
21:09And we get such signs from the life of Prophet Yusuf.
21:14For example, we get an incident,
21:16that Prophet Yusuf competed with Hazrat Aisha.
21:20And once Hazrat Aisha advanced,
21:23and then at some point Prophet Yusuf competed and he advanced.
21:27So Prophet Yusuf said that this is the revenge of that day.
21:30Similarly, all the activities in that society,
21:35like spear fighting, horse riding, archery,
21:40all these activities were part of it.
21:44Arabs also took part in it.
21:46Prophet Yusuf also took part in it.
21:48There is a principle in it,
21:51that such things which make a person heedless of the remembrance of Allah,
21:59are not allowed.
22:01Or if a person forgets the remembrance of Allah,
22:04and goes away from such activities,
22:08Islam has set such limits and restrictions.
22:12But these activities have been allowed.
22:16These are healthy activities.
22:18And our daughters are also sitting here.
22:22So for them also,
22:24to compete with Hazrat Aisha.
22:27So in the four walls of the house,
22:30in the limits and restrictions,
22:31they are also allowed.
22:33And it is obvious that in this era,
22:35many such games have come up,
22:37that it is necessary for their health,
22:41and it is also necessary for the mental health of a person.
22:44Thank you very much.
22:46Thank you very much Dr. Abdullah.
22:48Ladies and gentlemen, this is ARYQ TV,
22:50a special transmission of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
22:53And our special program is Islam and the youth.
22:57When Dr. Abdullah was narrating the events of the Holy Prophet,
23:02then the topic of Qailoola came up.
23:05The Holy Prophet used to rest a little in the afternoon.
23:10He used to do Qailoola.
23:12And especially,
23:14Hazrat Umm-e-Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with her,
23:17who was like your aunt from a distance,
23:19he used to go to her house,
23:21and he used to bless her,
23:23that he used to go to her house and do Qailoola.
23:25Ladies and gentlemen,
23:26when Dr. Abdullah was talking about Qailoola,
23:29I remembered Hazrat Umm-e-Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with her.
23:32With this reference,
23:33I have started addressing my daughters,
23:35my students,
23:38that we all loved the Holy Prophet,
23:43but Hazrat Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with him,
23:46his style of love was that
23:48when you used to go to his house to do Qailoola,
23:50he would not give you a warm bed.
23:54In fact, he used to give you a sheet of leather.
23:57And one day she started saying,
23:59O Prophet, may Allah be pleased with her,
24:01Do you know why I don't give you a bed?
24:05Why do I give you a sheet of leather?
24:08So he said, Why?
24:10She said, O Prophet, when you get up after doing Qailoola,
24:12the drops of your sweat come on this sheet of leather.
24:17So I fold it and put it in the mirror.
24:20And then I use it as perfume.
24:23This was a style of love for the Holy Prophet,
24:27of Hazrat Umm-e-Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with her.
24:30Ladies and gentlemen,
24:31with this, today's program
24:33ends with the special transmission
24:35of Islam and the youth,
24:37ARY-QTV.
