00:00As-salamu alaykum nazareen, Sheikh Zaid Islamic Center, Jamia Punjab, Lahore say, ARYQ
00:26We are honored to have Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mustafa with us for a special program on Rabi-ul-Awwal
00:34TV.
00:35Ladies and gentlemen, there is one thing called knowledge, and the other thing is information.
00:43We say that who was the first Prophet?
00:49Prophet Adam.
00:50Who is the last Prophet?
00:53Prophet Muhammad.
00:54And when we say that how many Prophets were there?
01:00124,000.
01:01And when we say that how many Surahs are there in the Holy Quran?
01:08114 Surahs.
01:09Ladies and gentlemen, all these questions and answers are not related to knowledge,
01:15they are information.
01:16Now the question arises, what is knowledge?
01:19Now the question arises, what is knowledge?
01:50So what was the concept of knowledge in the life of the Prophet in the Prophet's society?
01:58We are sitting in the depths of knowledge.
02:00Ladies and gentlemen, we have started a special discussion on this today.
02:03And to have a discussion, in the program Islam and Naujawan, who are our guests today,
02:09Ladies and gentlemen, when I mention them, I remember that moment
02:16when the Prophet was born,
02:21Arab and Meccan women were coming to take him in their arms.
02:29And when it was the turn of Hazrat Halima,
02:32Hazrat Abdul Muttalib, who was the grandfather of the Prophet,
02:37he used to ask everyone, which tribe you have come from?
02:41When Hazrat Halima came, Hazrat Abdul Muttalib asked, which tribe you have come from?
02:46So he said, I have come from the tribe of Banu Saad.
02:51So Hazrat Abdul Muttalib said, okay, the tribe of Saad.
02:56So he gave him in his arms.
02:58So today my guest, ladies and gentlemen,
03:01I think he has a spiritual connection with the tribe of Banu Saad.
03:06Dr. Muhammad Saad Siddiqui.
03:09You are a Mufassir Ibn Mufassir.
03:13Aalim Ibn Aalim.
03:15And in this department, you are the former director of Uloom-e-Islamia Jamia Punjab.
03:21And today you are our guest.
03:23We will discuss, what was the concept of knowledge in the life of the Prophet?
03:28Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
03:33All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His chosen servants.
03:39After this, I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
03:42In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
03:46Allah blessed the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from among themselves.
03:52He recites to them His verses and purifies them.
03:56And He teaches them the Book and wisdom.
03:59I am thankful to my dear brother, Dr. Tahir Mustafa.
04:13From the ARY TV channel.
04:16He gave me the opportunity to attend the gathering in which the Prophet was mentioned.
04:26Surely, those moments are the best moments of a believer's and a Muslim's life.
04:35And consider the moments of happiness as the moments of success and perfection.
04:41In which he is mentioning the Prophet.
04:46Or he is listening to the Prophet.
04:51And then the most important aspect of the Prophet's blessed life and his blessed example.
05:01And what is that most important aspect?
05:04That most important aspect is to be a teacher.
05:08What is your concept of knowledge?
05:11What is your concept of education?
05:13What is your objective of education?
05:16What is your scope of education?
05:18Understanding this is the purpose and objective of this gathering today.
05:28In this short time, I cannot cover all these things.
05:34I would like to mention some basic and fundamental things.
05:40And that is, first of all, understand this.
05:46When we read the list of beliefs.
05:50And try to understand the Islamic beliefs.
05:55We come to know that the belief of monotheism is the biggest, the most important and the first belief.
06:02Without this belief, a person cannot enter the circle of Islam.
06:09In view of the importance of this belief.
06:12It should have been that such a blessed verse should have been chosen as the first revelation.
06:20Which was describing the belief of monotheism very clearly and clearly.
06:26There are many such verses.
06:28There are many such verses.
06:38There are many such verses in the Holy Quran.
06:41Which are describing the monotheism and monotheism of Allah.
06:47But Allah did not reveal any of these verses as the first revelation.
06:55The blessed verses which were revealed as the first revelation.
07:00Which are,
07:13The religion of Islam that is going to come.
07:16And the Holy Quran that is going to be revealed in the next 23 years.
07:24Its concept of knowledge and its concept of education was also made clear.
07:30And it was said that until this concept of knowledge is not created in a person.
07:37That every work should begin in the name of Allah.
07:41Therefore, the beginning of knowledge, the beginning of reading, the beginning of teaching.
07:47Whatever should begin in the name of Allah.
07:51In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
07:55There is no limit to His Mercy.
07:57There is no end to His Benevolence.
08:00If it begins in the name of Allah.
08:02Then every work will continue.
08:05Today, the first foundation of the concept of knowledge.
08:09And the first foundation of the concept of education.
08:14It is being given that it should begin in the name of Allah.
08:18Then Allama bin Qalam said this.
08:22And he also said that this knowledge should be understood as Allah has given it to you.
08:30And when Allah gives you knowledge, then keep yourself balanced in front of this knowledge.
08:37Don't think that this knowledge is the result of my efforts.
08:41Don't think that this knowledge is the result of my efforts.
08:46But understand this knowledge as Allah has given it to you.
08:49And understand it as Allah has given it to you.
08:51If Allah had not given it to you.
08:53Then we would never have gained this knowledge.
08:56And we would not have been successful in conquering this field of knowledge.
09:00Therefore, when we look at the concept of knowledge or the concept of education of the Prophet.
09:09First of all, we should look at what is the concept of knowledge that the Prophet has chosen.
09:17Or what is the concept of knowledge that Allah has given it to you.
09:24The concept of knowledge is the recitation of the verses of Allah.
09:29The teaching of the Book and Wisdom.
09:32And the purification of the soul.
09:34These three are the foundations.
09:38And the first and the most basic subject is the recitation of the verses of Allah.
09:45That reciting the verses of the Holy Qur'an.
09:48The words of the Holy Qur'an.
09:50The interpretations of the Holy Qur'an.
09:53Reciting it with the correct pronunciation.
09:56Reciting it with the correct pronunciation.
09:58And keeping in mind its meaning.
10:01And keeping in mind its meaning while reciting it.
10:06This is the first subject and the first subject.
10:14And the second subject is the teaching of the Book and Wisdom.
10:22It is worth noting here that we have not only talked about the teaching of the Book.
10:28We have also talked about the Wisdom along with the teaching of the Book.
10:32That when you read the Book of Allah.
10:35And that Book of Allah is present with you in two forms.
10:39One is the Book of Allah which is present with you in the form of a book.
10:43Which you call the Holy Qur'an.
10:45And the other is the Book of Allah which is present with you in the form of a human life.
10:51That is the blessed life of the Prophet.
10:55Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa was asked.
10:59What was your character?
11:01He replied.
11:02What is your character?
11:06It was the practical interpretation of the Qur'an.
11:09So the Qur'an is a book.
11:12It is a knowledge.
11:14And the practical form of that knowledge,
11:17The practical form,
11:18The practical example which is in front of us.
11:21That is the personality of the Prophet.
11:24And not only is it the practical form of the Qur'an.
11:28Rather, you cannot understand the Qur'an.
11:32You cannot acquire the Qur'an.
11:36You cannot get the correct meaning of the Qur'an.
11:39Until you include the blessed life of the Prophet.
11:44Your pure character.
11:46Your pure Sunnah.
11:48Your blessed character.
11:50Do not include them.
11:52This is the wisdom.
11:54And then the purification of the soul.
11:57That a person becomes bound by those moral values.
12:01Becomes the bearer of those moral values.
12:04The moral values which the Qur'an brought.
12:07The moral values which we are getting from the life of the Prophet.
12:13Which includes love.
12:14Which includes compassion.
12:16If he is a teacher, he should show compassion to the younger ones.
12:24If he is a student and a teacher, he should respect and honor his teacher.
12:29If the relationship between a teacher and a student is like this,
12:33Then certainly there will be progress in the knowledge of the teacher.
12:37And there will be progress in the knowledge of the student.
12:40And what should be the result of this purification of the soul?
12:44The Qur'an says,
12:45Before this, they were entangled in open misguidance.
12:53The concept of knowledge is,
12:56The concept of knowledge is,
12:58Knowledge is that,
13:00Knowledge is that,
13:02Which brings a person out of misguidance and leads him on the path of guidance and good deeds.
13:09Which brings a person out of immorality and immorality,
13:13Which brings a person out of immorality and immorality,
13:16Which brings out the light of knowledge and enlightens the knowledge of knowledge.
13:22That is knowledge.
13:23And that knowledge was given to us by the Prophet.
13:27And this is also a historical fact.
13:31That the Prophet said,
13:35My Companions, like the stars, whoever you follow, you will find guidance.
13:44No teacher in the world,
13:47No teacher in the history of humanity,
13:51The greatest teacher,
13:52Can claim about all his students,
13:56That they have excellence in their knowledge and their art.
14:00He will talk about the selected students.
14:04He is the only teacher,
14:06Who is saying about all his students, without any exception,
14:13That whoever you follow, you will find guidance.
14:17He is the only teacher.
14:19And even today we will learn,
14:22Our knowledge will bring us out of the darkness and darkness of ignorance.
14:27This is the concept of knowledge and the concept of education of the Prophet.
14:33May Allah grant us the strength and ability to be attached to this concept.
14:39And our last supplication is,
14:40All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
14:42Respected viewers,
14:43Dr. Muhammad Saad Siddiqui,
14:45Was speaking in the program of ARYQ TV, Islam and the youth.
14:51And the topic of his speech was,
14:53The prophetic concept of knowledge.
14:56I will request the audience,
14:58If you have any questions,
15:00Dr. Muhammad Saad Siddiqui will answer them.
15:04In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.
15:06Sheikh, my name is Hassan.
15:08And MashaAllah, very beautifully,
15:10Dr. Saad Siddiqui, you have spoken on the importance of knowledge.
15:12Alhamdulillah.
15:13The question is that,
15:14The Prophet is the minaret of guidance.
15:16He is the one who brings light to darkness.
15:20But when today's people talk about enlightenment,
15:25They go against the Seerah.
15:27Yes.
15:29Because,
15:31Enlightenment is their own concept.
15:36If the name of darkness is light,
15:40And a person gets entangled in that darkness,
15:43And keeps wandering in it,
15:45And keeps saying that I am spreading light,
15:48Then it does not mean that he is spreading light.
15:50He is actually wandering in darkness.
15:53Enlightenment is only in the blessed life of the Prophet.
15:58And today,
16:00Not in our world,
16:02Look at that world,
16:04Which we do not call the Islamic world.
16:08Today, look at that non-Islamic world,
16:11Which you call the non-Islamic world.
16:14If you see light there,
16:18Then it comes because of accepting the fate of the Prophet.
16:23Even if those people do not believe you,
16:26But they have accepted your fate.
16:29So think about it,
16:30They are getting so much light,
16:32If we accept the fate of the Prophet,
16:34Who are the followers of the Prophet,
16:37Who are the ones who sacrifice their lives for him,
16:39How much light will we get?
16:41Think about it yourself.
16:44My name is Muhammad Ishtiaq.
16:46And my department is Islamic Studies.
16:48So my question is,
16:50The teachings that the Prophet gave,
16:54They were of a specific group of people.
16:56So can those teachings,
16:58For the whole of humanity,
17:00Who are the people who will come to the Day of Judgment,
17:02And are related to different tribes and areas,
17:06For them too,
17:07Light and guidance can be proven.
17:09This is a very important thing and an important question.
17:14And in today's world,
17:18Which we call the world of information,
17:22As the Doctor has pointed out,
17:25It is generally said,
17:28That the followers of the Prophet,
17:32And his first addressees,
17:35Had a specific culture.
17:39And the teachings that he gave to that specific culture,
17:43For the whole of humanity,
17:46And for the people who will come to the Day of Judgment,
17:48How can it be a guide?
17:51The thing is,
17:53It would have been right at that time,
17:55When it would have been proven,
17:59That the day the Prophet was born,
18:05Just like that day,
18:08Just like that day,
18:11The day you were revealed to the world.
18:13Your 63 years of life,
18:17Or your 23 years of life,
18:21Your teachings,
18:24Which you called your greatest,
18:27That,
18:30He did not change even a bit in that culture.
18:36Then it would have been proven right.
18:39And it would have been said,
18:41That whatever you said,
18:43You did it keeping that culture in mind.
18:45Whatever you said,
18:47And whatever teachings you gave,
18:49Was the revelation of Allah.
18:51And Allah is the Lord of all.
18:56He is the Lord of the worlds.
18:59And that Lord of the worlds,
19:01Sent you as a mercy for the worlds.
19:04He said to you,
19:06He gave you the commandment,
19:08Say, O people, I am the Messenger of Allah to all of you.
19:11Announce to the world,
19:13O people, I am the Messenger of Allah to all of you.
19:18Therefore, your teachings,
19:21Teach man the fundamental principles.
19:25Such fundamental principles,
19:27That for the individual life of every person,
19:30Till the Day of Resurrection,
19:33And for the collective life as well.
19:35And in the collective life,
19:37Whatever life it may be,
19:38Whether it is a moral life,
19:39Or a social life,
19:40Or a political life,
19:41Or a social life,
19:43For all the life forms,
19:46They are miracles,
19:47And will remain miracles.
19:49And even today,
19:50This is proven.
19:52This is proven.
19:53The societies,
19:54As I was saying earlier,
19:56The societies that have adopted the character of the Messenger of Allah,
20:01Today, they are advanced.
20:03And the societies that have abandoned them,
20:06Today, they are in decline.
20:08My name is Moiz Bilal.
20:10I am a 7th semester student at Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center.
20:14My question to you is,
20:16In the light of Seerat-e-Tayyaba,
20:19What is the real concept and purpose of religion?
20:22In the light of Seerat-e-Tayyaba,
20:24Religion is the same concept,
20:26That the Quran has given.
20:29And what is the concept that the Quran has given?
20:32The Quran has given a concept that goes beyond religion,
20:37And that is the concept of religion.
20:39I have chosen Islam as my religion for you.
20:48Because when we talk about religion,
20:51Religion is the name of a few worships,
20:55Or a few morals.
20:57But when we talk about religion,
21:00Religion is the name of the whole system of life.
21:03The Messenger of Allah has given us religion.
21:07And the religion that Allah has announced its completion,
21:15That blessing has been completed for us.
21:18A Jew, Hazrat Omar Farooq, said to him,
21:22If such a verse had been revealed about our religion,
21:26We would have celebrated that day as Eid.
21:30So Hazrat Omar said,
21:32You would have celebrated one Eid,
21:34The day this verse was revealed, there were two Eids.
21:37It was the day of Jummah and the day of Arafah.
21:40There were two Eids that day.
21:42So the concept of religion is that,
21:45The name of a few worships is not just religion.
21:49But this religion, the religion of Islam,
21:51Is a complete system of life.
21:54It is a complete system of life.
21:56And such fundamental principles have been given to us,
21:59Which provide education for every part of our life,
22:02And for every department.
22:05The need is that,
22:07We adopt the good character of the Messenger of Allah.
22:12And adopt it in every department of life.
22:15Try to adopt it in every department of life.
22:19Whether it is a department of individual life,
22:21Or a department of collective life.
22:23Viewers, ARYQ TV,
22:25A special transmission of Rebuilable,
22:27Our program was,
22:29A discussion between Islam and the youth,
22:31And Dr. Mohammad Sa Siddiqui.
22:35In their discussion,
22:37One thing was very noteworthy,
22:39That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
22:41Said about all his companions,
22:43Ashabi Kan Najum,
22:45That my companions are stars,
22:47And what light does a star have?
22:51And what light does a star have?
22:53And he said about every companion,
22:57That they are the source of guidance.
22:59If you follow anyone,
23:01You will find guidance.
23:02Viewers, with this,
23:03Our today's program,
23:05Islam and the youth,
23:06Comes to an end.
23:07Allow your guest,
23:08Dr. Mohammad Tahir Mustafa,
23:10Take good care of yourself.
23:11Allah Hafiz.
23:21Al-Fatiha.
