00:00In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
00:28Peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Beloved, the best of all creation.
00:58This is a program because on one hand we are addressing guidance and on the other hand we are addressing their questions.
01:06And it is very important that you do not only talk, but also address the questions that arise in your mind.
01:16And through this program, your questions, as I have mentioned before in a program,
01:21that the question is of one person, but it is in many minds.
01:25Since you are present here, it is easy for you to directly ask a question in this program and get an answer from our scholars.
01:38But our viewers from all over the world also benefit from it.
01:43And that question also becomes a source of guidance for them.
01:48In the name of Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz, Urs Mubarak, this special session,
01:55especially in the name of the saints, in the name of Sufism, in the name of spirituality,
02:00and in the name of the questions that arise in our minds, and especially in the minds of our youth,
02:06our scholars are present in this program to address those questions.
02:10I would like to invite you to listen to a saying of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri.
02:19And this is a very famous saying, which is related to the teachings of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz.
02:27He keeps on doing Iqtisab-e-Faiz.
02:31You will surely be well aware of this saying.
02:33Hazrat Khawaja said that the person who has these three qualities,
02:39he should understand that in reality God keeps him as a friend.
02:44The creation of these three qualities, he should understand that Allah the Almighty keeps him as a friend.
02:52The first thing that he said is that he should have a generosity like a river.
02:57When the river flows, it does not care about itself and others.
03:03It keeps on flowing and wherever it passes, it keeps on flowing.
03:11The second thing that he said is that he should have a kindness like the sun.
03:15That is, the one who wants to become Allah's beloved,
03:18and because of doing these things, because of accepting these things,
03:23he should understand that Allah keeps him as a friend.
03:26The third thing that he said is that he should have a kindness like the sun.
03:30When the sun gives light, it does not care about itself and others.
03:36That light, that light that a person needs, reaches everyone equally.
03:42So when a person has such a kindness, he should understand that Allah has made him his friend.
03:48And the third thing that he said is that he should have a generosity like the earth.
03:52The way the earth has a generosity, it keeps its support for everyone.
03:59It does not pull its support from anyone.
04:02When a person has such a generosity that he makes everyone acceptable for himself,
04:08he makes everyone the center of love for himself,
04:12then he should understand that Allah keeps him as a friend.
04:15In Islam and the youth, we talk about the Afqar-e-Auliya-e-Ikram,
04:20especially about Sufism and spirituality.
04:24And today we are fortunate that we have our respected,
04:29whom we always learn from, and the viewers of our AYQ TV are well aware of him.
04:35Studios come to us, and today he has come to us.
04:39And we are thankful to him and the entire department of Islamic Studies of the University of Gujarat
04:46that he has organized this session of Islam and the youth here.
04:50Dr. Syed Hamid Farooq Bukhari, Head of Department of Islamic Studies of the University of Gujarat,
04:57I request him to come and in today's program,
05:03the concept of Taqwa of Islam, this is a very important topic.
05:07What is Taqwa? How is it achieved?
05:11And what are its stages?
05:13And how does it manifest in a person's personality, in his character?
05:18We will learn this today in the light of our conversation.
05:21Dr. Syed Hamid Farooq Bukhari.
05:24All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
05:27And peace and blessings be upon the Master of the Prophets, the Messengers, and the righteous.
05:31I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
05:34In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
05:35Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs.
05:40They will receive what their Lord has given them.
05:43Indeed, before that they were doers of good.
05:46All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
05:48Islam and the youth.
05:53This has always been the fundamental topic of Islam.
06:00From the time of Hazrat Yusuf A.S. till today, or from the time of Ashab-e-Kahf till today,
06:17there has never been a time, a time, a moment, a moment,
06:23in which the youth of Islam or the people of Islam have not been needed.
06:30Your education, your training, your purification,
06:37this has always been the aim of Islam.
06:40Today, with the same beautiful theme, we are present in this program of ARYQ TV.
06:49As a guest and as the organizer of today's program, I would like to thank ARYQ TV,
07:01their chairman, respected Haji Abdul Rauf,
07:06our executive producer, respected brother, Amir Fiazi,
07:14and the entire team that has come here today under the leadership of Zaheer Bhai.
07:18Thank you all for coming.
07:21And our youth got the opportunity to understand the concept of Taqwa or Sufism or spirituality of Islam
07:31and to live life according to it.
07:34Our anchor, respected Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi,
07:41Allah has given him the opportunity to praise, praise, write and speak about the Prophet.
07:51And he has also given him the opportunity to do a PhD in Islamic Studies.
07:56So, these moments are not always available in life.
08:01So, like a traditional gathering, we should not only spend this time,
08:05we should understand what guidance Islam gives us with all these references.
08:11The topic that I was asked about and the verse that I recited,
08:16what is the concept of Taqwa of Islam?
08:19So, Allah has said that those who are Muttaqeen,
08:23they will be in the gardens and in the springs created by Allah.
08:29Now, who is that Muttaqeen?
08:32In the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah has Himself described it.
08:37Alif Lam Meem Zalikal Kitaabu La Rayba Feehi Hudallil Muttaqeen
08:42This Quran is a guidance for those who are Muttaqeen.
08:46So, what are the attributes of those who are Muttaqeen?
08:48They are Muttaqeeqoon.
08:50Now, no one else will explain who are the Muttaqeeqoon.
08:53My Lord Himself said,
08:55Al-lazeena yu'minoona bilghaybi wa yuqeemoon as-salata wa mimma razaqnahum yunfiqoon
09:00Those who believe in the unseen.
09:02It means to believe in the unseen.
09:06This is not the style of those who are Muttaqeen.
09:08Bani Israel also said to Moses,
09:11hatta narallah jahratan
09:13Until we see Allah, we will not believe in Him.
09:18So, he is Muttaqeen.
09:20Or, the first step of Taqwa is that
09:23you believe in the unseen as you believe in the unseen.
09:28So, this is Taqwa.
09:29It means that you have to believe in the unseen.
09:321400 years have passed and we are repeating the mention of the Prophet.
09:36But we have heard, we have not seen.
09:39What will be the state of seeing?
09:41We will know that in the next life.
09:43Or, if my Lord wants, He can give us a vision here as well.
09:46But we have to believe in the unseen.
09:49And we have to believe in the way He is in front of us.
09:53And this is the message of Hadith-e-Jibreel.
09:55When asked what is Iman, it was told.
09:57What is Islam, it was also told.
10:00What is Ihsan, it was told.
10:06That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him.
10:10And if you can't do this,
10:12at least believe that He is seeing you.
10:15So, Maula-e-Kainat, Shire-e-Khuda, Haidr-e-Karra,
10:19someone asked Ali-ul-Murtaza,
10:22that have you ever seen Him or not?
10:23So, he replied,
10:25till that time, I don't worship anyone
10:28until he lifts his mask and gives me his vision.
10:31Now, these are the qualities that my Lord gives.
10:36Now, we have to decide the stages of Taqwa.
10:38So, there are two types of Taqwa,
10:40towards which we get guidance.
10:43One is Taqwa of the hearts.
10:45And the other is Taqwa of the organs.
10:49The heart is inside the chest.
10:51So, there is Taqwa of the inside and Taqwa of the outside.
10:55We have to get both Taqwa.
10:58Then my Lord gives these stages.
11:00So, in reality, the stage of Taqwa is the heart.
11:05And when Taqwa is in the heart,
11:07its result is apparent in the organs and organs.
11:11Until Taqwa is not in the inside,
11:13it will not be apparent either.
11:15So, Taqwa is in the heart.
11:17The Prophet himself pointed out in a Hadith,
11:19that Taqwa is here.
11:21He pointed out three times towards the heart,
11:24that Taqwa is here.
11:26So, Taqwa is the name of a state.
11:28It is not like the market,
11:30where you can buy Taqwa by giving Dirham or Dinar.
11:34No, this is the state of the heart,
11:36which my Lord gives to whom He chooses.
11:39And that is why it was said,
11:41And I glorify the Poet of Allah,
11:44for it is from Taqwa of the hearts.
11:46That whoever glorifies the Poet of Allah,
11:49my Lord gives Taqwa to the heart.
11:51I want to talk to my students,
11:54to the youth,
11:56I want to talk to the youth.
11:59And I want to show my youth to you
12:02through AYQ TV.
12:04And you should not consider us old.
12:07Because the one who talks to so many youths
12:09should also be a youth, right?
12:11Not a youth, but a youth.
12:13Therefore,
12:15Allah the Almighty has said,
12:16whoever glorifies the Poet of Allah,
12:18his heart should be Taqwa.
12:20What is the Poet of Allah?
12:22He is not visible.
12:24His signs are visible.
12:26We have to glorify him.
12:28Kaaba is the Poet of Allah.
12:30Hajar is the Poet of Allah.
12:32Safa Marwa is the Poet of Allah.
12:34The Quran has promised,
12:36that Safa and Marwa are from the Poet of Allah.
12:38Maqam-e-Ibrahim is the Poet of Allah.
12:40Arafat-e-Mina is the Poet of Allah.
12:42Gumbad-e-Khadra is the Poet of Allah.
12:43The Prophet of Allah is the Poet of Allah.
12:45The Ahl-e-Bayt of the Master is the Poet of Allah.
12:47The Companions of the Master are the Poet of Allah.
12:49So, until you glorify them,
12:51Allah will not grant Taqwa to the heart.
12:53So, Taqwa of the heart is due to the glorification of the Poet of Allah.
12:56There is no glorification of Allah.
12:58There is worship of Allah.
13:00He is not visible.
13:02Salah is the Poet of Allah.
13:04Zakat is the Poet of Allah.
13:06Hajj is the Poet of Allah.
13:08Education, teaching and purification is the Poet of Allah.
13:10And similarly, the saints of Allah.
13:11These pious people,
13:13among whom is our beloved Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz.
13:16All these personalities are the Poet of Allah.
13:18Until you glorify them,
13:20Allah will not grant Taqwa to the heart.
13:22And if the heart gets Taqwa,
13:24then it will be visible in the bones.
13:26Allah does not want the flesh or the blood of your sacrifice.
13:29It is the Taqwa of the heart that my Lord wants.
13:31So, until you glorify them,
13:33Allah will not grant Taqwa to the heart.
13:35Allah does not want the flesh or the blood of your sacrifice.
13:38It is the Taqwa of the heart that my Lord wants.
13:39And the last thing I would like to say is that
13:41my Lord has said,
13:43that people are not blind from the eyes,
13:45but blind from the heart.
13:47If there is no light in the heart,
13:49seek from Allah without the heart,
13:51and you will not find the light of the eye.
13:53The light of the eye?
13:55Not the light of the heart.
13:57So, just see,
13:59there is no light in the eyes as well.
14:01There is light in the heart.
14:03Allah does not want the flesh or the blood of your sacrifice.
14:05Allah does not want the flesh or the blood of your sacrifice.
14:06These eyes are the foundation.
14:15So this vision or light is connected to the heart of a person.
14:19So Taqwa is here.
14:21So when Taqwa will be here, then it will be seen in the organs.
14:25So the teachings of Islam are that a believer should have Taqwa,
14:30so that he will be successful in the world as well as in the hereafter.
14:35It was a very beautiful discussion and the topic is very broad.
14:39We need a lot of time to talk about the dimensions, angles and aspects of Taqwa.
14:48So I will request Dr. Sir to continue this in some other session.
14:53In light of today's discussion, I request you to ask a question
15:00so that more aspects of Taqwa can be discussed.
15:04Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah.
15:06Sir, my question is that the teachings of the saints,
15:10are they their own teachings or the teachings of Allah and his messenger are the teachings of the saints?
15:17Respected audience, this is the doubt that we have to clear.
15:23A saint does not have his own teachings.
15:26Even a prophet does not have his own teachings.
15:29Only what Allah has given him.
15:32Hazrat Nuh, Hazrat Hud, Hazrat Saleh, Hazrat Lut, Hazrat Shoaib and all the other prophets
15:44came and said that
15:51Taqwa is Allah's and obedience is ours.
15:54This means that they only say what Allah has given them.
15:58So the teachings that Allah has given are the Quran.
16:02What the Prophet has given is the Hadith.
16:05So the status of the saints is that they follow the Quran as well as the Hadith.
16:13So there is no saint who gives teachings other than the Quran and Hadith
16:18or focuses on his own self.
16:22There is no saint who wants to bring the servants of Allah closer to him and wants to make him his own servant.
16:29And he wants to be his own servant.
16:32This is the misunderstanding that needs to be cleared.
16:36These righteous people, the saints of Allah, the good servants of Allah,
16:41live their lives according to the will of Allah.
16:44And their teaching is that
16:45You are the best nation brought forth for the people.
16:48You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong.
16:51So they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong.
16:56The preacher does the same.
16:58The preacher does the same.
16:59The teacher does the same.
17:01The advisor does the same.
17:03The saint does the same.
17:04But the saint does not do it with his tongue.
17:06He does it with his actions.
17:08He tells them that this is how they should live their lives.
17:11Therefore, it should be clear that the teachings of the saints of Allah are those
17:16which Allah has given in the Quran and the Hadith.
17:20Assalamu Alaikum.
17:21Sir, I have a question.
17:23Does the saint do all his work through miracles?
17:27Through miracles.
17:29This is a very good topic that we are discussing today.
17:33If you pay attention, you will be able to protect yourself from many misunderstandings.
17:38Not only the saint.
17:39Even the prophet does not do all his work through miracles.
17:43He does not do all his work through miracles.
17:47How many times has the Prophet cut the moon into two pieces in his life?
17:51He had the power.
17:53He could have done it again and again.
17:55Why didn't he show a miracle in Badr?
17:57Why didn't he show a miracle in Uhud?
17:59Why didn't he show a miracle in Khyber?
18:00Why didn't he show a miracle in Khandaq?
18:01Whenever my Lord wants, He grants these miracles for support and help.
18:06But the Prophet's whole life is not on miracles.
18:09When the Prophet's whole life is not on miracles,
18:12then how can the saint's whole life be on miracles?
18:15Miracles are true.
18:17Miracles are true.
18:19But miracles are not the glory or status of a saint.
18:23It is the manifestation of the power of my Lord.
18:26My Lord grants power.
18:27This is the Hadith of Qudsi.
18:29Haqa Kareem has said,
18:31When a person becomes close to the power of my Lord,
18:35then he becomes powerful.
18:37I become his ears.
18:39I become his hands.
18:40I become his tongue.
18:42So when my Lord grants him His power,
18:45then miracles are manifested.
18:47Secondly,
18:49to consider someone as a saint,
18:51it is not necessary for him to show miracles.
18:55A saint will be the one who shows miracles.
18:57One who doesn't show miracles is not a saint.
18:59Ahl-e-Tasawwuf, Ahl-e-Marifat,
19:01Awliya tell us that
19:03Al-Istiqamatu Fawqal Karamat
19:06Miracles are also great.
19:08My Lord grants power to whom He wills.
19:10But miracles are more important than miracles.
19:13If a person doesn't waste his whole life,
19:16if he doesn't make a habit of Tahajjud,
19:19if he doesn't perform Tahajjud,
19:21if he fasts the way he is supposed to,
19:24it means that he has lived his whole life according to the Shariah.
19:28Many saints,
19:30we get this incident of many saints in our lives,
19:33that a person came to be a disciple.
19:35After spending a few days, when he was about to leave,
19:38then the question was, why did he come?
19:40He said, I have heard that you are a great saint,
19:42you are a great teacher, you are a saint.
19:44But I have not seen any miracle.
19:46So the saint who has no miracles,
19:48I will not be his follower.
19:50So he used to say,
19:52that miracles are not a big thing,
19:54perseverance is a big thing.
19:55You have lived for so many days,
19:57did you receive any command from your Lord?
19:59Did you do any action that is against the Shariah?
20:02So the answer was, I have not seen anything like this.
20:04So it is said that,
20:06if my Lord wants, He grants miracles.
20:08Miracles will not be denied.
20:11Because we get the proof of it in Quran and Hadith.
20:14But a saint does not do everything through miracles.
20:17A saint should do everything according to the common human principles and laws.
20:22Then when my Lord wants,
20:24He grants him this miracle.
20:26You have seen that effect in the eyes of a saint.
20:29So if the eyes of a saint are capable of changing the destiny,
20:33then why does not the destiny of the entire Ummah change with the eyes of a saint?
20:38And what happens in the eyes of a saint,
20:41that the destiny of the Ummah is capable of changing?
20:44See, first of all,
20:46if I say that this is a climax,
20:49then it will not be wrong.
20:51That is, if there is an effect in the eyes of a saint,
20:54and the whole world changes,
20:56then this is not the will of my Lord.
21:03If my Lord wanted,
21:05then all the believers would have become believers.
21:07There would not have been any disbelievers.
21:09So this world is based on the principle of trial.
21:11The world is based on the principle of trial.
21:13It is based on the principle of trial.
21:15So this is not the purpose.
21:17The work of saints is that they keep inviting to Allah.
21:20Keep working.
21:22Keep moving forward with your morals and spirituality.
21:25But if someone comes there to take something,
21:28then he will certainly give it to him.
21:30If you do not even consider the status of a saint,
21:32then you will not be fortunate.
21:34After all, why is there an effect,
21:36which he asked?
21:38So it is because of the nearness of Allah,
21:40because of sincerity,
21:42because of divinity.
21:44It is because of the subordination to Allah.
21:46Those personalities are those.
21:48Now see,
21:50I am saying this to make it clear.
21:52There are some students and students
21:54whose attendance is 100%.
21:56And there are some,
21:58whose attendance is 20%.
22:00Some have 50%.
22:02Some have 70%.
22:04So the nearness of the teacher
22:06is equal to that of 100% and 20%.
22:08Isn't it?
22:10So a saint is one who is always in the presence of Allah.
22:12And we are those who
22:14are sometimes in the presence of Allah.
22:16So that nearness
22:18creates an effect in his sight.
22:20So whoever is close to Allah,
22:22my Lord will certainly create blessings
22:24in his sight.
22:26Thank you very much, Dr. Syed Dhamid Farooq Bukhari.
22:28For your guidance,
22:30for your discussion,
22:32and for today's discussion
22:34on Taqwa,
22:36we would like to extend it a little.
22:38And in the next session,
22:40we would like to get more guidance
22:42from Dr. Farooq Bukhari.
22:44With these words of
22:46Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi,
22:48we would like to take your leave
22:50from this program of Islam and the youth.
22:52May my youth be blessed.
22:54And may these
22:56glorious children be blessed.
22:58O Allah,
23:00this is my desire.
23:02May my light of insight
23:04be revealed.
23:06Thank you very much.
23:08Assalamu alaikum.
23:16O Allah,
23:18what a beautiful
23:20scene
23:22this is.
23:24Here
23:26the poor
23:28are standing.
23:30There
23:32the rich
23:34are standing.
23:36There
23:38the poor
23:40are standing.
