00:00Good morning to all of us. Today is September 8, 2024 and here is the update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:09At the moment, we have two low-pressure areas that are being monitored outside our area of responsibility.
00:16One LPA was last seen in the east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon while the other LPA was last seen in the east of Mindanao.
00:26The two LPAs do not remove the possibility of a typhoon in the next few days.
00:35But within 24 hours, the chance of a typhoon developing is still low.
00:41According to our latest analysis, this does not have a direct effect on any part of our country.
00:47But tomorrow, it is possible that the LPA in the east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon,
00:54if it enters our area of responsibility or if it only gets closer to the northern boundary of the park,
01:01it is possible that it will be a part of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
01:06In Habagat, we see that there is a high chance of rain here in the northern and central parts of Luzon.
01:15Meanwhile, the LPA in the east of Mindanao, we also see that if it gets closer to our area of responsibility,
01:24it is also possible that it will be a part of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat,
01:30where it is possible that by the second half of this week, Habagat will have a high chance of rain here in the western section of Visayas and Mindanao.
01:43So we are continuously monitoring and following the updates that will be released.
01:49Meanwhile, Habagat is still hovering here in the whole part of Luzon,
01:54where today, we can still experience a high chance of rain, lightning and thunder here in the northern and western sections of northern Luzon.
02:04So our countrymen should continue to be careful in the possibility of flooding and landslides.
02:12And for the time being, this Sunday, we can still experience heavy rain here in Batanes, Babuyan Islands,
02:22even in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur Dulot of Habagat.
02:26And it is also possible that later in the afternoon and evening, there will be a high chance of rain in the whole part of the Ilocos region.
02:35So again, we should be careful for our countrymen in the possibility of floods and landslides.
02:42Meanwhile, here in Metro Manila, even in the northern part of Luzon,
02:47we still have the possibility of isolated rains, floods and landslides still in Habagat.
02:54Our regional offices are still issuing thunderstorm advisories or warnings regarding these rains.
03:02The temperature in Metro Manila is from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:09Meanwhile, in the part of Visayas and Mindanao, the whole part of Visayas and Mindanao today,
03:15we can still experience a part of clouds up to a cloudy sky.
03:19We still have the possibility of isolated rains, including localized thunderstorms.
03:26And during severe thunderstorms, it is still possible for us to experience a part of clouds
03:31up to strong rains that can cause floods and landslides.
03:36So we should still be careful for our countrymen.
03:39The temperature in Cebu is from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:43And in Davao, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:48For the location of our countrymen by sea, we do not have a high-level gale warning.
03:53That is why our countrymen are not allowed to go fishing.
03:56And also those who have small sea vehicles.
04:01Here in Metro Manila, the sun will rise later at 5.45 a.m.
04:05and set later at 6.03 p.m.
04:09Let us continue with the updates issued by Pagasa.
