00:03Council planners have given the green light for a housing scheme in a North Derbyshire village purely for affordable homes,
00:09in the hope it will also pave the way for three new football pitches and a sports pavilion.
00:14North East Derbyshire District Council's Planning Committee heard how GEDA construction's planning application for 64 homes off Chesterfield Road in North Wingfield
00:23would mean the loss of two hectares of recreational ground and it had been recommended for refusal.
00:29However, after North Wingfield Parish Council Chair Councillor Nigel Barker told the committee that an approved scheme would kick-start an ambitious plan
00:37to set up three new full-size football pitches and a sports pavilion, the committee granted permission for the housing plans.
00:44The housing scheme is on land occupied by the former Danecourt Primary School and features bungalows, flats, two-storey houses,
00:51a new multi-use games area, play area and a new skate park.

02:34When was the last time you took your test?
02:37Last Saturday I took an advanced test with the IAM and I did so well that the advanced examiner
