00:00The Commercial Crimes case recorded a loss of RM1.6 billion from January to September.
00:10The Director of the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department of Bukit Aman, Ramli Mahmoud Yusof, said
00:14it was 82 cases a day with a daily loss of RM6.8 million.
00:21Ramli said that investment is one of the categories of fraud in the chain, noting the amount of concern.
00:28He said that throughout January to August, a total of 3,863 investment fraud cases were recorded,
00:35resulting in a loss of RM4.8 billion.
00:39According to him, the latest case was reported on September 4 by a 49-year-old man
00:45who claimed to have been cheated of RM4.6 million by an investment syndicate.
00:51Meanwhile, Ramli said that the police identified 16 main mediums of communication used in investment fraud.
