00:16Good afternoon, Asic Dale and Asic Arnel,

00:19and to all the viewers of your program,

00:23good afternoon to all of you.

00:25Sir, for the knowledge of our countrymen,

00:28what is the theme of the celebration of Peace Month this year

00:32and when is it held?

00:36Asic Dale, Asic Arnel,

00:38the month of September is the month of peace.

00:41This is a year of celebration

00:44that started in 2004

00:48under the Presidential Proclamation 675

00:51of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

00:54This is the Presidential Proclamation

00:57that will be declared in September

01:00as the month of peace or Peace Month.

01:03We have been celebrating Peace Month for two decades

01:08and for this year, 2024,

01:12our theme is Peace Month at 20

01:16because we have been celebrating it for 20 years.

01:20New Philippines, Transforming Minds, Transforming Lives.

01:25This theme is very important

01:28because in the middle of implementing the peace process,

01:33we need to transform the minds,

01:38the views, and the lives of our former rebels,

01:43including their families and communities.

01:47Asic Dale, Asic Arnel.

01:50Sir, what do you think we should focus on

01:55in terms of peace

01:57that we should evaluate

01:59in celebration of Peace Month?

02:03Asic Arnel, I think it is important

02:06that we focus on the theme

02:09of the peace process this year.

02:13Like what I said earlier,

02:16in the middle of implementing the peace process,

02:21we need to transform the minds,

02:24the views, and the lives of our former rebels.

02:27Currently, the government,

02:30through the Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace,

02:33Reconciliation, and Unity,

02:35is implementing four peace agreements.

02:39This is the peace process

02:42in the Moro National Liberation Front,

02:44in the Moro Islamic Liberation Front,

02:46in the Revolutionary Partido Manggagawa Pilipinas

02:50or Revolutionary Proletarian Army,

02:52Alex Bongkayo Brigade,

02:54and in the Cordelia-Rabudong Administration

02:57or CBA,

02:59and Cordelia People's Liberation Army or CBA-CPLA.

03:02Many rebels have changed their lives

03:06and as of now, we can see

03:09and it proves that what we are giving,

03:13what we are implementing,

03:15and the process of peace

03:17is bearing fruit for our brothers and sisters

03:20who are rebels.

03:22Sir, what are the activities

03:25for the month of peace?

03:29As of now,

03:30we started the month of peace

03:33with the ringing of the Peace Bell Ceremony

03:35in Quezon City Memorial Circle

03:37last week, on September 1.

03:40On September 2,

03:42we formally opened it

03:44by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

03:48on Monday, the month of peace

03:50in Malacanang.

03:52This was led by many of our

03:54international peace partners,

03:56local government chief executives,

03:58and governors.

04:00This also coincides with

04:03the 28th anniversary

04:06of the final peace agreement

04:07between the government

04:09and the Moro National Declaration Front.

04:11There are still many activities

04:14because on September 13,

04:16we will continue the peace agreement

04:20between the government

04:22and the Cordelia-Rabudong Administration,

04:26Cordelia People's Liberation Army

04:28or CBA-CPLA.

04:30There are also following activities

04:33like what we call Kapistaan

04:36in Metro Manila

04:38and other parts of the country.

04:40We have what we call

04:43Run for Peace,

04:45which will be held

04:47in the Mall of Asia.

04:49We are inviting the health buffs

04:52to join us.

04:54This is a joyous event.

04:56We also have Gawad Kapayapaan,

04:59which we are giving as a gift

05:01to those who contributed

05:04to the peace process

05:06and to those who became peace champions.

05:10That is why we are inviting

05:13our citizens to join

05:15our programs

05:17throughout the month of September.

05:20Sir Wilben,

05:22are these activities

05:24open to the public

05:26and how and where

05:28can our countrymen

05:30join the celebration

05:33of the month of peace?

05:35Yes.

05:37It is open to the public.

05:40The following activities,

05:44like what I mentioned,

05:46Kapistahan,

05:48we have it in different malls

05:50in Metro Manila.

05:52We have peace education

05:54in schools.

05:56Run for Peace,

05:58Asic Dale,

06:00we will be in the Mall of Asia.

06:02And then,

06:04in Gawad Kapayapaan,

06:06we have a culmination usually.

06:08These are the many activities

06:10for the month of peace.

06:18to our countrymen

06:20who are watching us now.

07:02one week, or one month,

07:04but it is for a lifetime.

07:06We should always

07:08remember that

07:10friendship

07:12is not just

07:14in using weapons

07:16but in a good conversation.
