00:00The president made his stand clear on two issues concerning the kingdom of Jesus Christ or KOJC
00:06and the vice president. The religious group is trying to secure a deal for their leader's
00:11surrender while the second highest official of the land's camp is claiming politics is behind
00:16the recent developments in the hearing on the OVP's budget. Kenneth Pachente gives the details
00:22as to how the chief executive answered both queries in this report.
00:27President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the decision whether the United States will intervene in the case of Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Pastor Apollo Kibuloy is no longer in the hands of the Philippine government.
00:40This comes after the request of Kibuloy's camp for the president and justice secretary Jesus
00:45Crispin Remulla to issue a written assurance asking the U.S. not to intervene in Kibuloy's
00:50legal battles here in the Philippines in exchange for his surrender. According to the president,
00:55this is purely and entirely the court's prerogative.
01:12The president also did not expound on his comment on Vice President Sara Duterte's statement,
01:16apologizing to the members of KOJC for asking their support to vote for the president in the 2022
01:22national elections. Regarding the allegations of the vice president, the hearings on her
01:48office's proposed budget have been politicized and weaponized against her, the president insisted.
02:12The president further stated that this is simply part of the mandate of Congress and the Senate
02:16to scrutinize the proposed funds of each agency.
02:38PTV attempted to get the side of the OVP regarding the president's statement,
02:42but there has been no response yet. Kenneth Paciente, from the National TV Network,
02:48for a new and better Philippines.
