00:06who returned to the White House after winning the last U.S. elections.
00:10The details are in the national news of Kenneth Paciente of PDV Manila.
00:16President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is positive that the relationship between the Philippines and the U.S.
00:22will be stronger after Donald Trump's victory as the President of the United States.
00:26In a statement, the President greeted Trump,
00:29as well as the Americans, for their success in a process that shows their values to the world.
00:35The President hopes that the cooperation between Trump and the U.S.
00:38will benefit the two countries that have a deep bond,
00:44mutual trust, vision, and a long history of cooperation.
00:48The Chief Executive also hopes that this strong alliance
00:52will become a force for good,
00:55and a path of progress and friendship in the Pacific region and other parts of it.
01:00The President also said that this strong alliance is fully supported by the Philippines
01:05because it is based on the ideals that the U.S. and the Philippines are pushing for,
01:09freedom and democracy.
01:11President Marcos Jr. is also confident in the firm leadership of President-elect Trump
01:16that he will create a better future for many countries, including the Philippines.
01:22Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin also believes
01:25that the good relationship between the country and the United States
01:28will continue under the leadership of President-elect Trump,
01:31especially since the strong alliance of the two countries will not be lost.
01:35The Philippines and America have shared history,
01:40and we have this desire for peace in this region.
01:45So I think the commitments will be followed through.
01:49House Speaker Martin Romualdez is confident
01:52that the strong relationship between the two countries will not be cut off
01:55following the victory of President-elect Trump.
01:57He also believes that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States
02:01will not be broken when it comes to various issues.
02:03I believe that there will be continuity of economic activity, investments,
02:09and in the case of security and defense arrangements,
02:13we will be having as much war support.
02:17U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Mary Kay Carlson also promised
02:21that there will be no changes between the two countries,
02:24but she insisted that there are many more agendas under the leadership of U.S. President Joe Biden.
02:29We're very excited to renew our coordinates with the Trump administration,
02:36between President Trump and the Philippines.
02:39But also remember, in the United States, there's one president at a time.
02:43So until January 20, we will be continuing to fulfill the Biden administration's agenda.
02:49We still have a lot on our plate, including some big visits and some important conferences coming up.
02:55So we look forward to finishing out strong and then starting out strong with the new administration.
