00:00Congressman confident that the strong Philippines-U.S. alliance will continue
00:04regardless of who wins the U.S. elections. According to House Assistant
00:09Majority Leader Zia Alonto-Adiong, it has been proven over the past decades
00:13that the strong relationship between the two countries remains steady even as
00:18their leaders change. He also stated that various agreements between the
00:22Philippines and the U.S. are already in place and are not easily dismantled.
00:27House Deputy Majority Leader Jude Asidre agrees with this. He asserts that
00:33American policies adapt to the current situation so Filipinos have no reason to
00:38worry. We appreciate American politics in a
00:42manner that they really set policies according to the demands and
00:46circumstances of the day and we're hopeful that America will remain to be
00:50the strong ally that has been in the years past.
00:53The U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines has already spoken that whoever wins in this
00:59election, the policy of the U.S., the bilateral agreements and long-established
01:07agreements between the Philippines and the United States
01:11will remain to be strong. So it does not matter whoever sits in the Oval
01:17Office.
