00:00In his disaster and damage assessment of Bali City and Antipolo,
00:04from way up in the skies, the President instructed an even more sustained delivery
00:08of relief and assistance to the hard-hit areas after getting wind of reports
00:14from the Office of Civil Defense or OCD. The details in this report.
00:30This was President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s response to posts circulating on social media
00:38with the hashtag nasaan ang pangulo. The President emphasized he is well
00:44and in good physical condition, even leading the situational briefing at the NDRRMC regarding the
00:50impact of Tropical Storm Enteng and Dahabagat. He also denied that he had a medical emergency.
01:00I was in the most of the day. Yes, I had a meeting in the morning.
01:12I had a command conference with some of our commanders.
01:18And I spent the rest of the day reading my briefs and doing paperwork.
01:23I was surprised when they said that there was a medical emergency.
01:32Sir, which is why we are asking directly.
01:35Yeah, well, it's totally and completely fake. I do not even have a cold. I do not have
01:43anything wrong with me. I'm fine. Thank you for your concern.
01:48The President also conducted an aerial inspection over several parts of Marikina
01:54and Antipolo to personally assess the damage left by Tropical Storm Enteng.
01:59He said plans are still in place for greater flood control to address flooding, especially
02:05as the population grows and waste management problems worsen.
02:10Instead of increasing our flood protection,
02:15our plan should be on a bigger scale, to put impoundings on the rivers,
02:24so we won't have to lower the water level here in Manila.
02:28Because you won't be able to control it when it's highly populated like this.
02:33You won't be able to control the water level.
02:36The water that should be lowered in the city,
02:38it won't be lowered. It will be collected there in the impoundings.
02:44Secondly, we already have water for irrigation and water supply.
02:50According to the latest report from the Office of Civil Defense, over 440,000 families or 1.7
02:58million individuals have been affected by Tropical Storm Enteng and Dahabagat.
03:04The number of reported deaths and injuries has risen to 15 each in the Calabarzon and
03:09several provinces in the Visayas due to drowning and landslides, while more than 20 are still
03:16missing. Following the President's directive, a steady flow of aid is reaching affected residents
03:22with over P31 million in assistance already distributed by the government and local
03:28authorities. Patrick de Azuz, from The National TV, for a new and better Philippines.
