00:00President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the immediate ban of the Philippine offshore gaming,
00:06internet gaming, and other offshore gaming operations in the country.
00:11Under the Executive Order No. 74, applications for new licenses,
00:16permits, or authorizations of Cocos and other offshore gaming applicants will also no longer
00:22be allowed. Additionally, the EO establishes two technical working groups tasked with developing
00:29and implementing a comprehensive strategy that will effectively enforce the ban on Pogo and IGL
00:37and other offshore gaming operators. One of these TWGs, the TWG on Employment Recovery and
00:45Reintegration, which is designated to address the impact of the foregoing ban on the affected
00:53sectors of the economy and ensure the reintegration of displaced Filipino workers and the
00:59provision of assistance and safety nets, which include upskilling and reskilling programs.
