The Harry Potter Game Rise of the Inferni on Quest 3

You are Viktor Krum, last remaining son of Durmstrang.

After a perilous trek from the frozen north to Hogwarts, you have reached your journey’s end.

But this place is not as you remember it.

The Veil has been torn, and the dead have risen. They cannot think, speak or show mercy. And they grow stronger each day, draining magic from the living to feed their endless hunger.

Chaos reigns. There are no more heroes left. Even Harry Potter is missing… presumed dead.

Whether you survive this world’s collapse will be entirely up to you…

00:00So two things I have to mention straight away. Firstly, this is not a review as the game is nowhere near finished.
00:09Secondly, now take a moment for this to register, this game is made by just one person, no big team, just one guy, Griff Galewick.
00:24Watch this video through and then at the end really think about that, it's truly remarkable.
00:31If you are a fan of Harry Potter then you are going to absolutely love this.
00:36So when I loaded in I was instantly greeted by a very familiar street and it looks absolutely incredible.
00:45The scenes are just gorgeous, it just looks so nice.
00:50The training tutorial is really well done, swimming and climbing feels great, shooting the wand is well thought out and works brilliantly.
00:59The looks and physics on the enemy are great, the candles, all the fire, the way the light shines through the windows, it's just incredible to look at.
01:09Getting into the game brings a huge level of excitement and mystery.
01:14Going along in a boat, seeing nothing apart from wreckage in the water and then slowly the castle comes into view and let me tell you, it looks incredible.
01:25I was just so speechless that just one person has created this.
01:30Finding your way into the castle and then exploring the castle is just so exciting.
01:36Seeing places from the movie in VR.
01:39I'm not a big Harry Potter fan but I've seen the movies and I've been to the Harry Potter world in England so I can definitely appreciate what I'm seeing.
01:49So the whole experience lasted about 45 minutes but like I said it's not a completed game, just a couple of chapters.
01:59But if this guy had a team and funding, there is just huge potential in this game and I have both my fingers and toes crossed that someone out there is going to see the huge potential in this game and give him help.
02:15Now for me personally, I'd like less dialogue, trim it down a bit, be nice to have more objects to interact with, a belt or bag to keep some objects in, more enemies to fight, more spells to cast, unlockables such as wand shapes, colours, hopefully a lot more puzzles will be added.
02:38I also hope the characters will see an improvement in the future too.
02:42Whilst they are not bad, I just feel like they should look a lot better when you look at how beautiful everything else looks in this game.
02:51Anyway, if you get a chance, check this out.
02:55It's just absolutely mind blowing that one person has created this.
03:00So on that note guys, I'll catch you on the next one.
03:04Thanks for watching, have a great day.
03:06You know, that isn't actually a horrible idea.
03:08Always the tone of surprise.
03:10Stop stealing my lines. Really though, I think you might be onto something.
03:17Our new friend is looking a bit confused.
03:21Right, sorry. So, as you probably know, games like this are usually made by whole teams of people.
03:29But in our case, that's just not true. There's only one person behind it all.
03:33So if anything went wrong, you know it's all his fault.
03:35Yes, thank you Neville.
