00:00Shady importers are trying their darndest to sneak in their bulk merchandise orders past custom sans paying appropriate duties and taxes.
00:09The latest foiled attempt of a billion pesos in vape products reinforces the magnitude of failed smuggling tries that has hit 50 billion pesos in seized merchandise since January this year.
00:22The list of seized products include motor vehicle parts and accessories and produce, just like oranges, which has been quite a hot item.
00:31The BOC laments their lack of manpower and or personnel to field in the long and vast shorelines of the archipelago that smugglers know fully well and are milking it to the hilt.
00:43Meanwhile, the customs office is beefing up its people to watch over the supply of oranges making it into the country's ports of entry.
