Rain across Wales, northern England and southern Scotland at the start of the evening though this becomes lighter and less widespread through the night. Meanwhile it is a clear night for southeast England while northern Scotland is cloudy with some showers later. A band of rain works its way north across northern England and Wales in the morning while some showers arrive from the west in Scotland.

00:00Hello again. Whilst towards parts of the south and east it's been a dry, sunny and rather
00:05warm day today. Elsewhere it's turned pretty cloudy or it's been quite cloudy at times
00:11and there's been some wet weather around too. All because of this front which is now lingering.
00:16It's stalled over parts of northern England and Wales and it's going to continue to linger
00:22here as we go through the rest of today and overnight. So plenty of wet weather to come
00:27still across parts of northern England, Wales, into the south west, even some parts of southern
00:32Scotland seeing some further rain at times too. Worth bearing in mind there could be
00:35some heavier bursts, maybe even the odd rumble of thunder at some point overnight. And do
00:39watch out for some mist and fog patches especially in parts of the south west. In the south east
00:44here we will have some clear skies but it is going to be a pretty warm night, temperatures
00:49not dropping a huge amount. And even further north and west, temperatures not quite as
00:53high as towards the south east but relatively warm none the less. Mainly though because
00:58of the largely cloudy skies and there will be some outbreaks of showery rain. Some of
01:01the showers pushing northwards across Scotland through the early hours could be quite heavy.
01:06This front then lingers as we go through the daytime on Wednesday, doesn't make a huge
01:10amount of progress and so it will continue to bring some rain at times across some parts
01:14of northern England into the midlands and Wales perhaps. But across parts of Wales,
01:19south west England any early rain should actually largely clear away. Across Scotland and
01:23Northern Ireland there will be some hefty showery rain pushing its way in from the west.
01:28Some eastern parts of Scotland actually clinging on to some fine sunny weather through large
01:32chunks of the day and here it is going to be pretty warm, temperatures just about in
01:36the low 20s. But the highest temperatures will be ahead of the front towards the south
01:41east of the UK. Here it is going to be a few degrees warmer than today and so we are looking
01:46at highs of around 28 Celsius, could be a touch hotter than that. As we go later on
01:52we are going to see some more showery rain continuing for a time across parts of Scotland
01:56but a lot of that will actually clear away and the front eventually clears away as well
02:00and so for many it's going to turn mostly dry for a time overnight before some more
02:05showers come in from the west affecting parts of Scotland in particular but also some western
02:10parts of Northern Ireland and perhaps England and Wales as well. Clearer skies for many
02:14places and some slightly fresher air behind that front that's now cleared through means
02:19it is going to be a slightly fresher night as we go through Wednesday night compared
02:23to this coming night, more widely getting into the low teens some places away from the
02:27towns and cities dipping into single figures. Showers continuing across parts of Scotland
02:32on Thursday, some of them could be quite heavy and initially they'll be mainly in the west
02:36but they are going to filter a little bit further eastwards as we go through the day
02:40and even elsewhere a scattering of showers possible across Northern Ireland, Northern
02:44and Western England and Wales but towards the south and east a greater chance of avoiding
02:49those showers and here it should stay largely dry. There'll be some bright sunny weather
02:53around although temperatures won't be as high as on Wednesday. Nonetheless feeling pleasantly
02:59warm temperatures just about getting into the low possibly mid-twenties for some of
03:02us towards the north and west mid to high teens at best. Later on as we go towards the
03:08end of the week and we are going to have high pressure building and that's going to dominate
03:12our weather as we go through into the weekend. So turning mostly settled, not necessarily
03:17completely dry, there could be some showery rain at times but generally fine picture it
03:23looks like most likely as we go through towards the weekend and with that it is going to feel
03:28pleasantly warm in any sunshine but the temperatures could rise even further as we go into the
03:34weekend. We'll have more information about that across our YouTube channel so do make
03:37sure you stay up to date. Bye bye.
